Griffith Ford Uvalde - Me with my new ride!

    Griffith Ford Uvalde

I really enjoyed doing business with the staff at Griffith Ford of Uvalde. From the moment I set…read morefoot on the lot I felt comfortable and relaxed. There were no pushy salesmen running around hassling my son and I as we looked around. To me this made the environment extremely welcoming... I was not even planning on purchasing a vehicle that day. I was hanging out with me 9 year old son, running some errands, and we had stopped by the dealership to ask their service department a few questions. The gentleman that helped us out at the service desk was extremely helpful. I wish I could remember his name but I'm sad to say that it has slipped my mind. Nonetheless, the service I received was nothing less than outstanding. All my questions were answered and I left there with a print out of part numbers and other locations of where I could find these items when I was ready to make my purchases. I wasn't hassled to make my purchases there or told that I could find the parts anywhere else. I only received awesome customer service and we were even offered cold beverages. As we were walking back to our car, my son and I noticed a truck that caught our eye and we decided to go have a look at it. It was a used F150 FX4 and it looked pretty great from the outside. I asked my son if he wanted to see the inside and, of course, he said yes. So I went back inside the dealership to find someone to help us out, as there were no salesmen outside on the lot as I had mentioned before. When I went inside I told the first person I ran into that I was interested in seeing the truck. He immediately called for a sales representative and asked if we wanted anything cold to drink. This was the second time we had been asked which felt absolutely welcoming. At this point Max Gonzalez, the sales representative, walked up and introduced himself. I let him know that my son and I wanted to see the F150 outside and he took us out. As we walked out toward the truck I let Max know that I was only interested in looking at the truck and that I was not looking to buy. Now, in my past experiences purchasing vehicles or even just looking at them, once a salesman finds out that you are just looking, they start treating you differently; like you're wasting their time. Not here though... Max began to tell me about the truck, its service record, and about the previous owner. It felt really good to be getting information without having to ask for it. He gave me details and pointed out some discrepancies without me asking. This made me feel like I could trust him and that he wasn't trying to hide anything. I asked if we could take it for a spin and he said "Jump in". Awesome... The test drive was great and when we returned I asked Max to find out how much they would give me for my Explorer that I was driving. I made sure I told him once again that I was just curious and that I wasn't in the market to buy. Even then, he was continued to be extremely polite and helpful, and never made me feel like I was wasting his time. He was simply providing amazing customer service. I was extremely impressed, not just by Max, but by all of the staff at Griffith Ford of Uvalde. The staff in the sales department was amazing. The staff in the finance department was amazing. The staff in the service department was amazing. Everyone at Griffith Ford of Uvalde contributed in making my son and I feel welcomed, comfortable, trusting, and even honored to be doing business at this dealership. They really went out of their way to answer all of my questions, take care of any issues with the vehicle I was looking at, and take care of me and my son. To make a long story short, I left Griffith Ford of Uvalde with an F150 that I was not even shopping for. We love this truck and have enjoyed driving it back to Georgia with no issues whatsoever. The folks at Griffith Ford of Uvalde are really second to none. Their customer service goes above and beyond. I will definitely tell everyone I know about them. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. If I could give more than Five Stars I would... Thank you to everyone at Griffith Ford of Uvalde.

I need to update my review. After buying our 2019 Ford Mustang and assured it had been checked out…read moreand was in great shape, not even 2 weeks later we had what we thought was a minor service call. Took the car to another Ford dealership in San Antonio and we needed $6,000 + worth of engine repairs. Talked to The man that sold us the car and he then told us he had not had certification/serviced the car per their usual standards as we had wanted the car in a hurry. In a hurry?!?! We had already waited 5-6 days for the car and waited another day to pick it up as they had to have their mechanics look it over and make sure it was the 4.5 - 5.0 rating. Was also to be detailed. The dealership we ended up having it serviced at said no way did anybody check the car out or they would have immediately noticed an engine problem. Took them less than 5 minutes to know that once on the computer. If we would have NOT bought the warranty not only would we have paid $30,000 for the car but then an additional $6,000 in repairs. I feel ripped off but now the car running my grandson has fallen in love with it. The people at Uvalde are nice enough but this car should have been repaired by them and not having to use the warranty to get the car serviced. Took us another 2 months to get another set of keys from them. Car definitely not detailed. Won't tell you what we found in the seats, etc. I originally left Griffith thanking them and so happy I could present this gift to my grandson but now so disappointed in them. We have been told there is another problem so next week headed back to the dealership locally to have it looked and hoping not another expensive repair. I should have immediately taken the car to another dealership to make sure we were not hoodwinked but I did feel the car was new enough and had very few miles per age of vehicle we could trust them. Go with your gut instinct at any dealership buying used, have the car checked out.

Please drive the vehicle up to the speed you usually drive and a little faster. I say this because the vehicle that I bought from them did not come with the original key and I was limited to 80 MPH on the freeway. This took me by surprise and a couple of times I could not keep up with the flow of traffic on the freeway in San Antonio. This is a major safety issue that I didn't notice until I got on the freeway. I noticed they don't let you talk much and they talk talk talk until it's time to sign. Nicest as they can be. After signing for the car, 2 weeks later it shuts down and overheated without warning. This is within a 2 week period of signing for the vehicle. I contacted AutoWorld and since the contract wasn't fully off their hands, Autoworld paid for the vehicle to be fixed at Cantu Motorsports in Uvalde. After receiving the car back the same day, it broke down again about a week later going up the hill in Castroville, TX at 9PM at night. With oncoming traffic and traffic behind me I made an emergency U turn like the cops do and coasted us down the hill and with enough speed I made it to the gas station. with the car in neutral and parked. That could've been worse. I called the "FOREVER WARRANTY" and they were suppose to provide a towing service. What they don't tell you is that you pay out of pocket and don't get reimbursed. So I had it towed to the nearest Ford dealer per the "FOREVER WARRANTY" instructions and complained to the dealer which the General Manager reimbursed me out of frustration. Speaking of the General Manager, he likes to flash his money in front of customers. The Ford Dealer must submit a diagnostic report to the "FOREVER WARRANTY". All the while I'm thinking I'm gonna get a rental. Nope! You get a rental after the diagnostic is sent to the "FOREVER WARRANTY" AND the warranty company must accept it, then you get a rental. The Ford dealer was so backed up they reported the diagnostics a month and a half later and still no rental. The vehicle needs a new engine as per the diagnostics from the Ford Dealer. The warranty company has a rule that says if the vehicle was purchased within 4 months and less than 4K miles and less than 4 payments, they are not responsible for the repairs. I contacted AutoWorld in Uvalde and they have not done anything to get the vehicle to their service dept in Eagle Pass. I have been without a vehicle of any sort since the incident. I bought this car in August and it's now November. I call almost everyday to get a status and I keep getting the secretary telling me to leave a message and they will call me back in a couple of minutes. That's 2 weeks of leaving a message and no call back. Since the diagnostic was sent to the warranty and AutoWorld. If you're thinking this is covered by the Lemon Law it is not. Lemon Law only covers new purchased vehicles. Also when you buy a vehicle from them, don't be dumb like me and let them lie about your information to the bank so they can make a sale. They've sold many cars and I keep hearing bad things. I should have listened.

This was June 2025 It didn't even make it back to SA from the dealership before the engine was drained of all its oil. Total trash. It didn't make it 20 miles. So we had to have it towed back to Boerne. Then began the. "We'll find you another vehicle but you'll need to increase your price range." So we pay more for a Kia Soul plus a $1,000 warranty. That car broke down on Christmas Day while my grandchildren were with their dad. Another Vaughn piece of crap. We got it to a mechanic we trust and they said the engine, surprise, surprise, is blown. Two cars in less than 6 months with blown engines. Really??? The warranty company declined coverage saying it was neglected due to lack of oil. Whose fault is that? My son had taken it back to Boerne and they claimed it was fine. My son knew better, but left with it. So I wrote a scathing review on here and they saw it. Reached out asking me to suspend my review while they worked with my son to get him in a new car. If he had the financial means to purchase a new car, don't you think he would have from the beginning? I wouldn't buy a used bicycle from these clowns. They need to be litigated against for fraudulent dealings. Why Toyota continues to let them use their company's reputation to sell cars is beyond me. I will not remove this review. The photos are from the first vehicle that didn't last 20 miles. Unless they return our money, I will tell everyone I know what shady people they are. Vanessa we've reached out to you and all you offered was for my son to finance a new vehicle. That is a CLASSIC bait and switch. Contacting you is not worth my time.

Terrible Experience - They Talked Themselves Out of a $68,000 Sale…read moreI walked into this dealership ready to buy and had a pristine 2020 Nissan Rogue to trade in. Unfortunately, the sales team completely blew the deal. They refused to offer anything more than the absolute cash value on my trade-in. I understand dealerships need to make money on trades, but I don't need a lecture about it. My job was to bring them a quality vehicle; their job was to figure out how to make a profit. I was willing to move forward, but their rigid "take it or leave it" stance made it clear I was better off walking. When I told the salesman I was leaving, he literally said, "Go ahead and walk away." So I did. I got in my Rogue and left without looking back. Later that evening around 7 PM, the salesman texted me asking if I had ended up buying a car yet. The very next day, I went to another dealership. They immediately offered me $13,000 on the trade (significantly more than what was offered here), knocked $1,500 off the price, and didn't push any dealer add-ons. I drove away happy in my new vehicle on May 1st with zero hassle. This dealership single-handedly lost a $68,000 sale because they wouldn't budge even slightly on the trade-in. If you're trading in a vehicle and expect fair value, look elsewhere. Very disappointed. They did turn the super loud music down. It was bothering me very badly by the time I came back in to talk to the guys so that was a plus at least they thought about me for a little bit then, as soon as I start walking away, the music got turned right back up, so that was kind of disrespectful.
