Con men all the way…read more Y'all I have a little story time. If you have never used El Mante in Horn Lake as a mechanic, you are missing out. We have used him to lift my jeep, replace tires and spacer, truck tires, etc. We have always felt like he was very fair with his pricing. This morning I needed to get my brakes replaced so I dropped off at Raleigh Tire Auto Service Center in Olive Branch for convince on my way to work. They called and said I needed rear and front pads, and rotors on the back brakes. Ok, I've had that done before and it didn't break the bank. They call to say it will cost $1200+ to do that work....I said nope, and i picked it up (boy, were they mad at me, as I was with them ) and took to @El Mante in Horn Lake. He said we had the same issue that Raleigh said, but guess what the price to repair is? under $500!!! So, Raleigh Tire Auto Service Center is a rip off and we now know why they don't have to be open on the weekends! Never will I ever go to Raleigh again. ************************* BUT WAIT, there's more!! El Mante inspected my front brakes and said I didn't need them. What??? I'm am just truely amazed in the most wonderful way!! So my repair was less than 360!!

The car threw a CEL check engine light and said to stop driving so I took it to the closest shop I could. That was a mistake. They. Told me they would look at it, but did not want to listen to anything I had to say. I tried to tell them the car was modified and had full bolt ons. They didn't want to hear it and acted like they knew how to handle anything. Ila few days go by while they work on other cars and then I guess they start looking at it. They call back saying it needs coils and plugs. Keep in mind the coils and plugs had lasts than 50k miles on them. So I tell them to go ahead. They end up charging me 1,600$ for a job that takes a competent mechanic maybe an hour to do. They charged me more than double what the spark plugs cost ANYWHERE. Okay fine they need to make their money whatever. They charge me 500-600 for coils. They called me a day or two later saying the car was done. I go to pick it up and make it Maybe 5 minutes down the road before the problem reappears. I call them back. They state they are closed so bring the car back tomorrow. Okay great so I drive it miss-firing the whole time the 12-15 minutes home. I bring it back the next day and ask what is the deal. The service writer proceeds to tell me the turbos are likely bad. I ask what he bases that off of. He talks out of his behind making no logical sense. Keep in mind the car had new turbos installed maybe 20k miles ago, which they would have known had they taken any time to listen to me. I had already paid at this point so I was going to get it resolved. Another day goes by and they call me back stating it is ready. I asked what the problem was. I asked did they compare the spark plugs they pulled out of it to the new ones? Shocker they did not. They out factory plugs in my non factory car that were not the same temperature hot/cold rating. I asked them to get me the right plugs. They said they would warranty out the old ones but never did. I asked several times did they change all the coils or just one and I never got a straight answer. Needless to say a few months later the issue comes back. I decided to do it myself this time, which is really what I should have done the first time. Come to find I had one NGK plug and 5 Motorcraft Ford Plug. Tell me if they did my plugs how did I have a mismatched set??! So at this point I can't trust that they changed all six coils and I end up having to redo what I overpaid them 1,600$ to do. It took me about 2 hours. Keep in mind I work healthcare IT and am not a mechanic. I work on things when I have to but I don't enjoy it. Long story short I would not trust this place for anything. I wouldn't trust them to put the oil you pay for if you use anything but the cheapest oil. Let them plug a tire maaaybe. The rest please save yourself the hassle and frustration and go somewhere else.

I filled the tire with air and it held, so I drove to the shop. Arrived, was greeted in the parking lot and got set up in the system. My total wait was like 37 minutes, roughly, LOL. Extremely disappointed with my experience at Gateway Tire & Service in Olive Branch…read more I brought my 2022 BMW X3 in for a routine oil change and left being told my vehicle was unsafe to drive due to alleged stripped threads and a damaged oil filter housing. I was advised the vehicle needed major repairs, and I spent hours calling around receiving repair quotes totaling thousands of dollars. I had to go a whole day without my vehicle because they drained the oil and said the car couldn't be driven period. Thankfully, I had the vehicle towed to a BMW/euro specialist for a second opinion. After inspection, they determined there was no catastrophic housing failure and were able to properly install the filter/cap, complete the oil service correctly, and return my vehicle the same day. What was most frustrating was the amount of stress and panic this situation caused unnecessarily. Being told your vehicle is undrivable and may need thousands in repairs is serious, especially when that diagnosis turns out to be inaccurate. I strongly encourage anyone with a European vehicle to seek a qualified BMW/euro specialist for service and second opinions before authorizing major repairs.

There is only one location versus five or six of the other place if that tells you anything. It is locally owned and operated. I have had multiple interactions with the owner and he is doing all he can to take care of you and it most certainly shows. He is working just as hard as anyone else here. They are always waiting for you when you pull up at the payment center. There are two lanes to pull through and if it's even slightly busy there are two people there to greet you. You get a complimentary drying cloth and a blunt each time you wash. Kidding about the blunt man. Don't be uptight dog. Car wash gets every square inch of your car it seems. I have a $15 a month subscription so no tire shine for me, so I am not sure how that service is. But that bitch is clean when you roll out even with the basic wash. It's so effective I'm afraid it actually wears through the clear coat if you don't keep your car slick and waxed more than usual. I unfortunately cannot use this wash any longer myself in my current vehicle, but continue my subscription in my old dinosaur burner that I gave to my kid. She still loves it.
