    Steak sandwich and fries
    Krystle K.

Tried this place because I had an event nearby and there weren't alot of great options. Tried the deviled eggs which were decent but lacking in flavor. The server was very nice and helpful. The patio was nice and it was a chill atmosphere. We also shared the steak and fries and the fries were good and the steak sandwich could have had more flavor. Wouldn't go out of my way to go there again but it did the job.

This was my first time coming here and I was very happy with it. The staff greeted us upon arrival and we ordered immediately. I started off with the Brussel sprouts and meatballs. They came out super quick and were delicious. The sauce that comes with them was 10/10. For my meal I got the salmon. It was very bland but okay once dipped in the sauce. I am glad I went with it though. I would definitely recommend it.

Cedar & Vine in Lake Highlands was the perfect host for our first chamber happy hour of the year! We had about 60 in attendance, and they treated us to some amazing bites--Deviled Eggs, meatballs, and fried Brussels sprouts. All so good! The Old Fashioned I had? Stellar. A big thank you to our sponsors, Independence Title Lakewood (thank you Morgan Irelan) and East Dallas Vintage (thank you, Chelsea!), for making it happen. Want to connect? Join us! Happy Hours are on the 4th Thursday of the month, Rise and Shine Networking happens the 2nd Tuesday morning, and our monthly luncheons are on the 3rd Tuesday. We've got something for everyone, and wvery schedule--check out the calendar at www.eastdallaschamber.com. #CedarandVine #EastDallasChamber #Networking #LakeHighlands #EastDallas #LiveLocal #eatlocal

Alberto's a super server! He's funny, kind, thoughtful and great overall service! The food here is really delicious, what I got: Devilled eggs- delicious and topped with a heavy hand filling! The bacon on it is delicious and crispy, the egg yolks is so good! Flat iron steak- got it cooked medium and it did not disappoint! Had a nice charred outside and the sauce is FIRE!!!! Love this! My favourite! Chicken fried steak- a real good piece of hearty meal with mash potatoes I will be back! For the price point, service and how hospitable our server is, 5 stars!

We tried this place recently for dinner and had a great time. They had the place decorated for the holidays. The tree and the lighting inside set a great vibe. We sat comfortably in a booth with a window view. We were able to catch some happy hour prices and tried the deviled eggs and parmesan truffle fries. Five eggs came with the order and they were delicious. The fries had great flavor. My daughter enjoyed her kids cheeseburger with fruit. My wife enjoyed her "spicy" chicken sandwich, although she didn't think the chicken was spicy at all. The chicken parmigiana and angel hair pasta were fantastic. Great portion sizes for the price. We didn't try any wine this time, but we are looking forward to our next visit.

We've been here a few times, and the food is always good. Usually, come in for happy hour, and it's dead inside. There was a nice crowd for lunch, but it's still not very busy. I opted for the fried chicken salad. The arugula was well dressed, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. If i were to order this again, I'm going to ask if i can get it hot like their Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was lacking in flavor, and that would have made this perfect. Will be back to give it another try.

Great food, quick and attentive service and amazing vibes! The crab cakes, salmon entree and Oreo ice cream cake were fantastic!

The waiter was really nice and attentive. - Shrimp appetizer - wish there was 1 more shrimp. Came out quick and the sauce was really good. My husband however didn't like the sauce. It reminded me of TGIFridays glazing sauce. - chicken & waffle - my waffle was so flimsy and soggy; maybe even undercooked. It wasn't good. While my Chicken looks burnt in the photo, it didn't taste burnt and tasted good. I enjoyed the strawberry mimosa and thought the interior was cute. But my food expectations far exceeded what was executed.

Service was lovely. The atmosphere was also nice. I really enjoyed the brick chicken, it was flavorful & juicy. The garlic sautéed spinach was the best! The pasta could had used a lot more seasoning, the only thing that was a disappointment. Loved the Cesar salad, the kitchen split it for us

Thanks to the reservation, we were seated right away and immediately greeted by our server, who was honestly amazing from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel effortless. We kicked things off with drinks. I started with an espresso martini, and it was really, really good--smooth, balanced, and exactly what I was hoping for. For my second drink, I tried the smoked Old Fashioned from their holiday menu. It was good, but I'll be honest, it was extremely strong. Like, really strong. In general, their drinks definitely pack a punch, so that's something to keep in mind when ordering. For my entrée, I ordered the Mediterranean smoked chicken salad, and wow. It was hands down one of the best salads I've ever had in my life. Everything was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and satisfying, and it didn't feel like a "boring" salad at all. It was so good that I already know I'll be coming back specifically for that dish, though I'm also curious to try more of the menu next time. Overall, this place absolutely lived up to the recommendation. Great service, strong drinks, and standout food. I'll definitely be back.

The layout feels open and comfortable, and the overall vibe is upbeat without being overwhelming. That said, service on arrival could use some attention. There was a noticeable gap at the host stand with several guests waiting and no staff in sight, which set a slightly off first impression. Once seated, though, the experience improved. Ally at the bar stood out right away. Friendly, attentive, and welcoming, she helped turn the visit around and made the experience feel more personal. She did come back to check in later, which was appreciated and helped round out the service. On the food and drink side, they carry Manhattan Project Beer Company's Half-Life, which is a big win and pairs exceptionally well with the French dip. The sandwich itself is flavorful and satisfying. The fries were a bit on the softer side, so if you prefer them crispy, I'd definitely recommend asking for them extra crispy when ordering. Overall, Thirsty Lion has a lot going for it. Great atmosphere, solid menu, and standout staff like Ally. With a little more consistency at the front of house, this place easily moves from good to great.

It is so beautiful inside and the service was incredible. I don't think my water cup ever got past half empty. Shout out to the water service. As for food, of course we started with the deviled eggs because that's what was recommended to us. They absolutely lived up to the hype and I'm dreaming about the next time I will eat these. The waitress recommended the lemon caper chicken to me and it was perfectly lightly breaded, and I'm not a huge fan on grits but loved these. The consistency was nice. My husband had the pork chop and he said it was very good. It was also ginormous. We finished off the mule with a flourless espresso chocolate cake, which hit the spot.

Our server, Stephen, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire experience. We started with the bruschetta board and it was delicious. My favorites were definitely the salmon & pesto and the goat cheese with sweet pepper jam--so flavorful and balanced perfectly. We both ordered the Select Two combo. I got a nine inch panini on focaccia bread paired with the soup of the moment: potato, leek, and artichoke soup, which was surprisingly so good and comforting. My friend ordered the same combo but paired hers with the Brussels sprout salad and had her panini on focaccia bread with tuna. She was also offered three wine tastings, which we thought was such a nice touch! To end everything, we tried the hot donut dots and they were amazing.
