We lost 1 at 14 years old and recently the other at 13 years old. We have always had dogs and delt with vets but none as caring as Custis office. Losing the older dogs was very difficult and they help us more than you can imagine. Truley caring people, you can't fake that they really care!!! Always explained everything in detail and NEVER rushed when speaking with us. In a short time, we will be getting 2 more pups and will defiantly be back at CUSTIS. Her exam was a few seconds long and she was quick to prescribe a bunch of expensive tests. The worst thing is that she is the OWNER of the clinic. Do not take your beloved pet to this clinic.

All staff was very understanding and went out of their way to answer any questions and advise us. Along the same lines, we never felt that we were being 'sold' extra unnecessary expensive treatment that we are quite sure we would have through our old vet. We drove 40 minutes each way for every appointment and need our dog had and passed many other vets along the way, Well worth the trip. When we get our next dog, we'll be back!

I have been bringing our dog to Baker House Animal Hospital for 10 years where she received her…read morevaccinations and annual check. We recently had concerns about our dog's behavior, being lethargic, not eating, or drinking, and urinating excessively. When I called to get an appointment, I was told the vet doesn't see people after 2 although the business hours say open until 6. I was never directed to another vet office to call to get help. I was able to be seen the next day where they took a blood and urine test. The blood test came back with extremely elevated liver numbers which can turn to life threatening. The vet's recommendation was to get 24 hour care ($3500) from an emergency vet hospital, an ultrasound ($1000), and a biopsy to determine if she had cancer. I ended up getting a second opinion at another animal hospital where they were able to do an X-Ray for $200 and determine my dog has cancer in her liver. It has spread throughout her body and to her lungs. We were able to get a steroid shot to keep her comfortable and make a decision when we're ready. I am so happy that we got a second opinion and were able to save thousands of dollars.
