I have been purchasing mulch from Cedar Creek Landscape Supply in Youngsville, NC for a few years…read morenow. I picked up a load of mulch and paid for two cubic yards. The load seemed light (I usually have a pretty good amount of mulch above the top of my bed, but this time, the load was only about an inch higher than the bed (if that). When I got home, I measured my truck bed (small Ford Ranger) which measured Length = 6', Width = 4' and depth = 16". This is a subtotal of 1.19 square yard. I then subtracted the amount of space the wheel wells (inside the bed of the truck) which are 2'L x 9"W x 8"D which is .04 Cu Yard for each wheel well or a total of .08 Cu Yard for both wheels. This puts the total load to be 1.11 square yard. I called the office and they advised me to come back to get more mulch. However they would only load one bucket full of mulch filling my bed only 9 inches (if that). The equates to about a half a yard (.59 to be exact. I expressed my concern to Shane that I paid for two yards and I did not get two yards. I even measured the depth of the one bucket he loaded in my truck today, (which was only 9" deep) and he refused to admit his bucket was not a full square yard or that the mulch I received was not 2 cu yards. His only response was that he felt sorry that I felt this way and refused to do the math. I will never go back.

Nursery took no responsibility, said it was "just fungus." Plants have died despite good care on our part. Nursery is not responsive. In addition, we were given a landscspe plan indicating which plants would be planted. Most of what we received is NOT what was on plan. Nursery just substitutes types, plan and placement of shrubs and trees. Their workers are nice and try hard. I'm very disappointed in the business as a whole and do not recommend them.

Multiple staff members have ignored me while standing around talking to each other, and when I finally asked for help, they seemed annoyed and uninterested. The staff in the greenhouse, in particular, were especially unwelcoming and would not even look up to say hello or ask if I needed assistance, even when I was standing just a few feet away. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this nursery to anyone. I would gladly drive twice the distance to visit another nursery in the future.

There is ample parking out front. The shop is well organized even with having outdoor and several indoor retail areas. We easily found what we were looking for and then had a smooth checkout process.
