Had appointments at UC Heath today and in between appointments we needed to find a place to eat. I googled restaurants near by and found Cedar Creek. This restaurant is a 5 plus. The service was amazing with Erin. He was so friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the Triple Play Sliders and the sun dried quesadillas. The food is good but the service is absolutely terrible. Every time I've gone in I've had an issue with service. The last time I was meeting a group (who very visibly had 3 chairs open indicating more were joining) and the hostess/waitress told me there were no groups waiting for anyone and that maybe I'm at the wrong place. I called someone in my party and sure enough they were waiting. Food quality varies but almost always very good. read more

The bar is really conveniently located for those of us on the medical campus or living in the apartments behind. The beer selection is nice, and they have some of my favorites, but the food is perfectly "Meh." I would shy away from their pasta, but their burgers and nachos are good in my opinion. I had high hopes, the area and atmosphere was nice and the beers were good. However I would stop at the beer and not order food. It was way over priced for the quality. I ordered the buffalo Mac and cheese (14$) as well as the Mexican tuna bowl (15$). The mac and cheese was Velveeta melted over plain pasta with a few pieces of chicken dipped in Buffalo wing sauce. The tuna bowl was a frozen tuna patty that was over cooked and really bland along with some beans, rice, and wilted lettuce. I was sincerely disappointed and will not come back to waste my money here. There are better places elsewhere that are less expensive and have food that doesn't taste like it was made in a microwavable box. read more

First time here for lent and we decided to have have the fish and chips. Service terrible. Had to ask for ice tea refills 3 times. Tea had no taste. Food, awful. Fries undercooked, had to ask the to take them back. New fries not that much different, poor. Fish, soggy. Way over breaded and mushy. Tartar sauce, who uses mustard, not good. $15 a plate for nonsense. We agreed never to return and that we should've went to Long John silver. Went there today ( first time) with my daughter and her boyfriend. Wow!!!! Hands down the best burger I've had in a loooooong time. The service was great also. This is a good addition to the very limited options on the Anschutz Medical Campus, but it's not quite as good as it could be. It has the usual burger/sandwich menu, complete with a very nice beer selection. Non-happy hour prices are a bit high, especially if you work on campus and just want something other than Subway or Jimmy John's, but at least the place is clean and comfortable, and it has lots of TVs as well if there happen to be some day games on tap. Burgers come "pink" or "no pink", which is a bit odd, but generally are cooked as indicated. I've tried the chipotle chicken sandwich, which I enjoyed, and also the elk burger for a little something different. I wish there were a few more options on the menu, though in fairness they do change it up from time to time, and there is a daily special as well. It's not outstanding, and I'd prefer to see the food and beer priced a little bit lower, but for something we can walk to for a nicer lunch, it works. read more

This is a restaurant in a town home community near the hospital. The service was friendly, but the food was nothing to write home about. The chocolate mousse was clearly ordered in and possibly previously frozen (it was dry and almost tasteless). The fries were ok, but a bit salty. The almost tasteless house salad was chopped iceberg lettuce with some red cabbage, carrots and bland tomatoes. For a pub, I was expecting more cider options... they only offer Angry Orchard. The bangers and mash (sausage and mashed potatoes) was ok, but nothing extra. My friend liked the pretzel and cheese. read more

Glad it is on campus, but I have gotten pretty tired of the menu. It would be nice if they had a rotating appetizer menu - as this is the only pub on campus, and probably the only pub I'd go to in this neighborhood. I typically go for happy hour, so I am sick to death of the app menu. The food is alright, but nothing I've gotten excited about or raved about. Also, drink and regular meal prices seem high to me, but maybe I am just cheap. I think they can get away with charging higher drink and food prices because there is no other option. Triva night was fun. Staff is very friendly. I hate to give it a 2 becuase I have had so many happy times here, but they really need to step up their menu. The service is absolutely incredible here. My boyfriend's tuna steak sandwhich was over-cooked, he ordered it medium rare and the sandwhich came out well done.Tthe waiter apologized about the mistake and took the sandwich back to the kitchen. A new medium-rare tuna steak sandwich came out within 5 minutes and was absolutely delicious. The owner of the restaurant even came up to us after our meal to apologize about the mistake. Was craving bone-in wings and I figured a pub is a good place to start and its within walking distance from my apartment so I thought Id give em a shot saw on the menu 10 bucks for a pound of wings. Even though my father had tried the wings earlier in the summer when we were first here for a transplant and found them sub par, I figured Id give them another go round. They were nice and meaty which was satisfying but the cooks were much too stingy with the sauce. Come on, bone-in wings, I need them swimming in sauce please. The ranch that came with it was good, they had basketball at the bar as I waited but being disappointed twice by the same wings I cant say Ill give Cedar Creek another try. Very creative menu and then they top it off with outstanding execution. The decor is very comfortable and the weight staff is wonderful in every way. Cedar Cree Pub is G-R-E-A-T!!! They are a "Colorado Proud" pub meaning just about everything from their delicious beers on draft to the melt in your mouth burgers are from Colorado. Whether you have a big party to reserve "the Paul's" room for, a cozy booth to snag with a friend or two, or feel like flying solo and chattin it up with one of the super chill bartenders, you're bound to have a wonderful experience! And might I recommend the prickly pear margarita, it's delicious!!! And not to mention, with over 50 parking spots reserved for customers, parking is a breeze!!! I don't have much to say. We wound up here because the place we were targeting ended up being in the hospital (not going to eat there!). This place is ... meh. It has a menu, serves beer, etc. etc. but nothing jumps out. It reminds me of the chain of Wyncoop's or Walnut Brewery, or whatever. They give it a different name, but you swear you've been there and done that already. Just another copy cat restaurant. We've got too many of them. the food was okay. Nothing great, nothing bad. Service was fine. People were nice. I wouldn't call it an experience to remember though. I actually had to find this place again to review it because I forgot the name. They are always very friendly and make an effort to know your face. I typically call in orders and walk down to pick them up. The food is always ready within 10 mins or less! The vibe is always laid back with plenty of TVs going. You won't be disappointed. The burgers are likely premade, but they are very high quality for a pub. The Hawaiian chicken platter is very good with large portions to save some for later. This may be my go to place when MotoGp season starts up again in the Spring! My wife and I were staying that Hyatt in Aurora visiting from out of town and looking for a nice quiet place to grab a bite that had craft beer. This place came up in our search, so we thought we would give it a try and boy are we glad that we did! When we first pulled up, we were afraid that it would be difficult to find a parking spot, but there is a nice parking garage right behind the pub. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. The owner even came by to say hi to us. When my wife couldn't decide between 2 beers, our server brought her samples of each, so she could decide. This is the kind of service and attention to detail that sets this place apart from the norm. If you like great food, good beer and amazing service, I would highly recommend this little pub. If you prefer to wait for over an hour to be seated when the half of the restaurant is empty, be ignored for half an hour waiting for a server and have to flag someone down to get a beer, then BJ's isn't far away. Headed into this spot for lunch today with my sister. It's convenient for her to walk to from her office, but it wasn't so convenient for me... Warning: parking is terrible here. I mean, in an it's-easier-to-find-parking-downtown way. Once I found a spot a couple of blocks away, I walked in and we were sat in the bar area by a friendly host. The first thing we both noticed and commented on at the same time was the noise level. It's LOUD in here. There seems to be a trend with newer establishments to have raised ceilings with exposed ductwork and oh-so-chic concrete floors and such (you know, the "industrial look"?). Well, it ends up creating rooms that reverberate normal level conversations to really high levels. It's not the best practice... Once we sat down, we were warmly greeted by the bartender who was also our server for lunch. He was very attentive, and the menu had a lot of interesting things on it, which I was pleasantly surprised by. We started with their pub pretzels with housemade cheese sauce, and they were yummy. As entrees, my sister had the Maverick Chicken Quesadilla (off the starter menu) and I had the West Coast Club Sandwich. The food yummy-ness kind of stopped there... The housemade potato chips are decent, but need seasoning or salt of some kind and the bread they serve the sandwich on (described as "wheat" on the menu) is icky. Lumpy with all kinds of seeds in it. It doesn't toast well, and makes for a dry, dry sandwich. Also, the guacamole on the sandwich and served with the quesadilla tastes like the kind that comes out of the cheap plastic containers at the grocery store (as in, not even the premium kind at the grocery store). Yuck. My sister who eschews salt, actually picked up the salt shaker and added salt to her quesadilla. I have literally never seen her add salt to food. Never. I ate about 1/4 of my entree. The service was really good, but aside from the appetizer, the food wasn't even average, especially for the price. I don't think I'll go back. I think three stars is generous, but hey, it's Friday...cheers! read more

I have visited Cedar Creek Pub four times now. My first two visits weren't really all that great. The drinks and food were good but the service left a lot to be desired. The bartender seemed irritated with our presence both times so we hurried through our drinks and meals and scooted on out of there. But my view is now a changing! The last two times I have gone the bartender Stephanie has helped us. Both times she was super friendly, engaging and seemed to be enjoying her job. Bravo on making Stephanie a part of your team! She has made us want to return to our neighborhood pub! They have a rotating tap selection which is usually packed with good local beers, including some from Coda which is right across the street. Food wise I would have to say that the quesadillas and pierogies are my favorite. I've tried a couple of the sandwiches and have always been pleased though they didn't really EAT ME AGAIN! The only thing on the menu I have encountered that I didn't really enjoy were the wings. I will admit to being a wing snob and that's probably why I wasn't a fan. Keep in mind that the kitchen closes at 9 and the establishment closes shortly thereafter so you'll want to get there early! read more

The pub! Conveniently located across the street from the Anschutz medical campus at the fitzsimmons apartments it's great for post exam drinks and food. I always enjoy the beer they have on tap and usually end up going with ciders which have all been good. I think it's about $4.50 for a beer which isn't bad. Food is around $10 a plate. I'm obsessed with the cedar club sandwich I always order this. It's just a simple turkey sandwich with avocado and bacon but man it's good. The wings here are also really good with side of ranch. Gotta try the pretzel when you're here it's a great snack or meal it's enough to share with a table of people or if that's your main meal great for just you as well. Awesome place to come with friends after exams or for happy hour if you don't wanna drive and just walk across the street after a stressful week! read more

We like to go to Ursula which is across the street. They've got a pretty good relationship with Cedar Creek, and you can order, and they'll deliver over to the tables at the brewery. I've had the pretzel and the burger. The pretzel with beer cheese was fantastic. You get what are essentially three pretzel loaf stick things, and a bunch of beer cheese sauce. I'm used to places that either have good bread and not very good cheese, or vice versa, but Cedar Creek does a fantastic job at both, it's a must order for an appetizer. I'd also recommend their burgers, they're thick and tasty, and come with fries. They're a great place to stop in right on campus. read more

The reason I like this place is that it is near school, therefore very convenient when you need a drink aftef a tough day at school or just finished an exam. However, the prices are high (most likely because it is catered to individuals near the Anchutz Medical Campus). For example, fries are almost 5 bucks and salads are around 12, vegan burger is closer to 16 bucks. I think if the prices were better I would definitely give it a better rating. The ambience is good...trivia nights are fun!! Btw, the chicken wings arent super great...just tastes like some from the groceries. read more
