Only one person working right before a conference final Avalanche game. Not clean at all. Bathroom smelled strongly of urine. Took over an hour to order. Food arrived for four of our five topper. We were done eating before the fifth plate arrived. Air conditioning on when it's 48 degrees outside. Outside was warmer. Service was awful, bartenders were rude as all hell, considering I've been there multiple times, which are usually a decent experience . Jules and the other girl bartending with long black curly hair, wouldn't tell me her name, were awful. Not only that they called last call at 1:10 and pretty much forced us to take our last shot and made us Get out of there. I left $20 for a tip and once they kicked us out my mans left another $2 and Jules said " oh you can keep it, you probably need it more than me" and there a wet napkin at my plate are you fucking kidding me????? Super uncomfortable, unprofessional, inconsiderate. And not a good time at all. Awful awful awful do not recommend. Well... what to say about the Frontier Club... It has been around a long time and the quality has gone up and down and all around. Lately voted best place in Aurora to do a line off the back of the toilet tank. Use the mens room and you will most likely see for yourself. They are, however, a good place to see a live band. They have a decent dance floor and they bring in pretty good talent. That is really the only reason I go. THE SERVICE IS ALWAYS ATROCIOUS. I have never had decent service in this place unless you go with someone who the bartenders know well and then it is still mediocre. I remember going in one night with a couple of bartenders from up the road and other industry folks to play pool We waited and waited for a waitress only to see her just standing in the service well staring at us. Finally we just went to the bar for drinks. What a mistake as you know how well industry people tip. SMH There is a smoking patio out front with seating. It's a nice convenience but has been taken over by the pot smokers. The bar outside isn't used for anything but a place to roll joints and hang out. But at least you don't have to go in and out to smoke. All in all... Not terrible but I do avoid this place unless there is a good band. read more

Wings they came out over cooked and dry sent them back and after finally going to bar to get a drink for 5.25 for a bottle of beer at a dive bar the waitress said that's what you would pay downtown but I'm not downtown. staff was extremely rude and when they saw I was taking pictures of bad food came out and took my beer and said would have to leave. I left and they called me names as leaving. If you are not a friend or family of bar stay away. They became very confrontational as I left. First time here, had a great time! Huge burgers and awesome beer battered fries. I didn't get to try the wings but after seeing them and smelling them I definitely will be getting them next time. There are pool tables $1 a game, darts, and shuffleboard. Good atmosphere and good people. They do karaoke every Tuesday, Thursday and Sundays. I believe Poker is Wednesday, and they do a Pool league Mondays. Don't let looks deceive you, it does look like a basic building on the outside but really welcoming on the inside. read more

I came here on a Sunday night with my family. The waitress was extremely rude, wouldn't take our order or ask if we needed anything.

Absolute worst service I've ever had. If you're not a regular you are basically invisible. We sat for 20 min before we got our own menus and drinks and then another 15 before someone actually came to our table. Once we got our food it was super inconsistent as I got mine 15 min before my husband and his was significantly smaller than mine. Trying to actually pay the bill was another issue as again we had to go up to the bar as we saw our waitress once in an hour and she never came back. We won't be back anytime soon. What should have taken an hour took 2 due to their waitresses not giving a care about anyone but the big tables. read more

I've been coming here since 2007 and it's one of the best bars I have been to. They quite frequently have live bands and usually doing something for a charity. Not to discredit anybody that's ever given this place a bad review, because everybody has a different viewpoint. But in the years that I've been coming here I haven't had any issues and it's always got a good crowd and everybody seem to enjoy themselves. It's pretty spacious, so even in the current climate they're able to manage giving all groups their space. The food here is just simply amazing for a bar! It is Friday afternoon and a group of thirsty equestrians are in need of a beer. And because everyone lives in different directions we decide on the closest to the stables. "Well there is that place next to Lancaster's," someone says. "Are you kidding! That place is nasty looking!" And the Yelp in me says, "Lets do it, y'all." The Frontier Club was starting to swing on Friday night and if you walk in you will see the first reason why...the place is filled with pool tables and they are surrounded by trophy cases filled with trophies. A 90 year old man with a slight tremor was starting to rack up and I told someone he was probably a hustler. Next to the bar was a table of bikers who checked us out when we walked in and we passed inspection as they turned back to their drinks. How could we not pass inspection, I had on a cowgirl hat, dirty horse clothes, and horse poop on my boots. A Country band, Rio Diablo, was setting up to play music for the crowd to "kick up their heels." In front of the stage was a large table with a lime green table cloth; there was going to be a wedding reception later in the evening. And the most important reason we will be going back to the Frontier Club is the price of drinks. My NYC friend picked up the first round, a pitcher of MGD, and handed the waitress a $20.00. The waitress came back with $14.00 in change and my NYC friend giggled with delight, "This would have been $20.00 in the City." We were there for Happy Hour only and I wished we would have gotten to stay late into the evening because as we were leaving the local ladies were arriving, buying a bucket of beer and a juice glass size shot of whiskey, and I could tell things were going to get real fun. read more

Have had several issues here. I'm an extremely patient person, but when my drinks are empty for 10 minutes because the bartender wants to play cards with a couple regulars that's where I have an issue. Yes I'll still tip well, I won't ever be hostile, and I'll never let them know I'm upset. If it were busy, yeah totally get it. But when there are 4 people at the bar and I see her look at my glass and pass me by to play cards, yeah that's a problem problem. I'm not the only one to experience this, as there were several in my proximity. But this is also not the first time. I never leave reviews, I created a new account to stay anonymous. Apparently they stopped serving people with vertical ID's here because if your picture is not on a horizontal card, you somehow become younger than 21. Fortunately for me, the liquor store right next door does accept vertical ID's because, you know, it's issued by the government. UNFORTUNATELY, the folks at this bar didn't take kindly to me bringing in some beer because it took away from the business that I definitely would have given them. I've won their trivia night in the past and I was a regular when I lived here and I was very disappointed in the service I received by the new manager. This Roadhouse is a fun stop off at the end of the line on Colfax. Literally, if you keep taking Colfax East you will be on the highway in less than 5 minutes. So unless you live in the area, it is a pretty good drive from all parts of town. Lucky for us, we are a five minute drive down the street. We have been in here probably less than a dozen times, and we have a blast every single time. They are known for having live music as well as karaoke. They keep the joint Jumpin every night of the week. I have stopped in here and there for a happy hour, and it seems like they have a pretty decent share of regulars, although I'm not one of them. They have a lot of games to keep you entertained. The place has no fewer than half a dozen pool tables, a handful of those golf and shooting games, darts and last but certainly not least, my favorite, shuffleboard! I am totally not competitive at pool, so after 16 years I don't even bother playing against my husband who is excellent. But I am competitive at shuffleboard, LOL. So this is the place I can go to and potentially even beat my husband at a game! The drink prices are not super competitive, which is why they lose one star. I wish that there were some more low cost options for those of us who drink excessively. It also needs to be mentioned that they have a really good bar food menu. Exactly the offerings you would picture, Wings nachos Burgers Etc. They also offer coupons in the entertainment book, so in the past we have been able to get an entree at a BOGO. Definitely takes the sting out of the higher beer price! This past Friday we came in after going to the zoo, and my brother had really worked up an appetite. I wasn't particularly hungry, but I could use a small snack. So he got the mile high nachos and I got an order of fried mac and cheese. The nachos were standard issue. Pretty good on top, sort of a mess underneath. He went for the chicken, and the chicken was tender and flavorful, not at all dry which is a concern. But the fried mac and cheese bites were the toast of the evening. Hubs hates mac and cheese (I know, I know, and I still love him), but he was elated with these fried mac and cheese bites. I had a little bit of sticker shock at the $9 price tag, but was completely satisfied when they came out and the portion was enormous. All three of us ate fried mac and cheese bites to our little hearts content and none of us were left wanting more. The band that was playing this particular Friday evening was called Whiskey Straits. They did a combination of country music and rock music. Really the perfect type of music for the crowd. We had a really good time, and the lead singer was so engaging. He was coming out into the crowd, dancing with the girls, and even putting the mic up to the customers mouths for them to sing along when they seemed inclined. He even invited my hubby back to come on stage and sing a song with him the next night. This place was definitely more cowboy hat intensive than I am used to in a bar, but everybody was super friendly. Our bartender was a very sweet, accommodating girl. My husband started playing quarters on the bar and rather than getting annoyed she acted as a backstop and was playing along. My husband noticed that she smelled amazing, like dryer sheets . Rather than being off put by him, she totally humored him and came around to our side of the bar to allow us to smell her, at his insistence. Yeah, he's a weird dude, but she didn't make us feel weird for it. Everyone made us feel welcome. I'm not always down for a dive bar but my bestie and I ran across this one and so glad we did! Close your eyes and picture if you will, a typical dive bar. Pretty good live music, mildy sticky floors from many nights passed, bathrooms that have no paper towels, and waitresses that are good to new people and always know the regulars. Now open your eyes and you have been transported to Frontier club. There was a live band who was actually really good! They played classic songs (rock mostly) and forgive me for sounding like an old fuddy duddy, but I really liked that they were loud enough to hear and enjoy, but not so loud that I couldn't turn and talk to my friend if I wanted. Usually the live bands in places are so annoyingly loud and it seems that the worse the band, the louder they are. So the perfect volume matched well with a great band! We were served promptly by a friendly and welcoming bartender which is always appreciated. They were obviously super busy but from the service, we wouldn't have known. Our food took quite a while but while we enjoyed the music and our conversation, the time flew and we barely noticed. We ordered a burger that was massive enough to split and super good! Very juicy and plenty of accoutrements. About half is a pool hall and half is very large tables so it's perfect for groups. There is a small dance floor that a young lady happily took advantage of while dancing, in her bra. You know what? Good for her. If you can't dance practically topless, then where can you? They even still have the cliche' outside smoking area. Was our kind of place, a dive with several locals. the place was not very busy and had 2 people working. we sat at a table and then stood near the bar waiting for the 2 women working to stop their conversation and serve us. one lady came out looked around the bar with her back to us and then went back in to chat with the other lady. we stood there staring back into the room they were in. I have to admit, I absolutely LOVE the Frontier Club. It is certainly off the beaten path, and the clientele is a testament to that. It is right on par to find yourself seated at the bar between a Western-attired octogenarian, and a rough-around-the-edges biker. And they are all friendly! The service is excellent. It really is. The bartenders are personable and funny. Every time I have been there, the crowd is in high spirits, and everyone is just happy to have more people to drink with. The food is also surprisingly good. I love the chile rellenos, but the wings are fantastic as well. The drinks are the way they should be- stiff and cheap. They regularly have live music, and dancing is quite common. I honestly take the opportunity whenever I can to take friends out to the Frontier Club. Everyone has the same response. As we pull in, they say "Seriously, I'm going to get beat up here."
