Wow! We came for brunch and we will absolutely be back. The atmosphere is relaxed but kind of dark and .... Well just right. Lots of areas to sit, and a few bars. We got the burrata appetizer which was incredible; the pesto is garlic heavy and just right. Hubby got the club sammich on their focaccia and said it really hit the spot. It came with thick slices of turkey and they were not stingy with the avocado. I got the Rizz pizza (potato and rosemary) and it was everything I've been dreaming of since moving here and leaving my favorite pizza behind in Reno. They had on football and Baseball in the lower bar area. Bathrooms were very clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. Extensive drink menu and beer menu. Tons of vegetarian items. As a former vegan I noticed a lot that can be made vegan. I didn't notice the massive build your own Bloody Mary bar until we were almost done, but I will for sure be back to build one or five bloody Mary's. Went on a Saturday afternoon and were seated right away. The place is pretty big with plenty of tvs to watch any games. It seems like they have a heated patio that maybe gets open in the summertime. The service was great and QUICK we were very hungry ordered an appetizer but the food came minutes after. The pizzas are medium side and very thin. The Cesar salad was good- hint of lemon! Once seated our order was taken. Since it's a build your own pizza let me say this, they offer a wide variety of ingredients to make your pizza. We built our vegan pizza and man did it taste good. Esters always seem to be busy, and I finally got a seat at the community tables. The food was good enough but nothing to rave about. The nachos were unique and tasty to have an impact, but the wings were average at best. Esters seems like a place you'd go after a soccer game with your kids to celebrate with a little extra cash to spend. I have been going here for years now and I love this place. We order for work fairly often and they have a great lunch special. You get a pizza (smaller than a typical one but still fairly large) and a salad. I usually get the Ya Mar pizza and Cesar salad and it doesn't disappoint. This place is super popular, but the pizza was not my personal favorite. I ordered a cheese pizza with sautéed mushrooms for takeout. It was ready on time, which I appreciated. However, the pizza was a bit of a letdown. The sauce had a good flavor but a strange mealy texture which was hard to ignore. The cheese and mushrooms were nice, but I found the crust a bit tough and dry. For the price, I do not think I'll be returning, especially with the number of great pizza places in Denver. Let's be upfront about why I removed a star. I checked into this spot a week ago and alerted folx that the restaurant is not dog friendly. A parking spot outside for dogs is appreciated but it's still not dog friendly if you are looking to train your dog or expect an actual dog friendly location. Please also note that ALL places are required to be ADA compliant so "dog friendly" really does mean that dogs are allowed even when they're not service animals. Even after that the business has still not updated their information. Service really cannot make up for that inconvenience. It meant that I took up a spot until my dog settled and potentially meant that a server was taking care of an area that wasn't theirs; had it been a busier day I can see how other guests would've been inconvenienced and how the servers would be struggling. Giving my dog water when I already had a water bowl further showed how this location didn't really attend to the guests' actual needs; I would've preferred that they tailored their response to me, and all I wanted was accuracy on their yelp page. If you're looking for food, the food is great. Definitely try out whatever fruity pie is on their menu too! And I don't want to be entirely rude to a pizza spot that I love; the owner certainly seems to have kept delivery options updated! So please go visit a location most convenient to you! Or in a more walkable area. Oneida park doesn't allow dogs on their patio either but there are more spots to tie up dogs along the fence, and there are plenty of other shops in the area too. read more

We have friends that live close to this Esters location so have been here a couple times as part of a large party. Nice and open bar and seating area with plenty of TV's for watching sports. Ordered their nachos and a couple pizzas that were prepared quickly and brought out to the table. I have to say that this place knows how to construct their nachos. Arriving in a circular shape maximizing the topping to chip ratio, the nachos look to be prepared from the bottom up eliminating the issues of dry chips that are usually found at the bottom of the pile seeing no love from the cheese or other toppings. Solo mission. Yelp chose this place for me and I was not disappointed. First. I was lucky enough to find a parking spot. The restaurant is situated in a small shopping mall next to an apartment complex so parking is limited. I walked in and noticed a wait (Wednesday evening around 6:45pm). I wanted to grab a beer so I didn't mind sitting at the bar. The bartender was busy so I had to ask for a menu. No big deal! So far the reviews about parking and the place being packed with regulars are correct! I ordered a Tangerine Cream beer and the Of The Earth 12" pizza. The beer was light yet creamy. I ordered two! I knew I wasn't going to eat the whole pizza, so I ordered to-go. My pizza came out and I could smell the goodness! The box was cool and interactive. My favorite pizza is mushroom so I was excited to find a place that was loaded. It was delicious! The cheese was melty and the walnuts give a nice crunch and a surprising sweet yet not over powering taste to the pizza. The crust is perfect and crispy. I love oven fired pizza. We had a private celebration of life gathering at Esters Virginia Village and it was fantastic. Esters was a recommendation from friends that frequently visit one of their two other restaurants in the Denver area. The place itself was very unassuming, kind of a hole in the wall in an old strip mall that has been around for many years. There was a fee to reserve the backroom for private party that included food and drinks, the price was very reasonable. We reserved the backroom for four hours with a buffet style food approach consisting of different pizza's, wings, hummus/pita, and salad. Everybody was very satisfied with the food and the staff kept bringing more until everybody was full. The place included a full bar and various beers on tap including Colorado craft beers - good selection! The staff was beyond fantastic, very attentive, responsive, and flexible to guests wishes. My only complaint is the backroom was dark. No windows or natural light except from the front of the restaurant that barely peeked in. They supported our event by having all the TVs show a continuous slideshow loop of pictures that we created of the family member who passed. This was an incredible touch and sparked various joyful memories and conversation. Would highly recommend Esters for a fun gathering with friends! read more

This place has gone down hill in the time I've been going there. We used to really like it from the neighborhood feel to the unique pizzas, even if they weren't what I was used to from New York. I think it can't handle the success. We went a while ago, and the brussels salad was not nearly up to the quality it had previously. They also can't seem to cook the pizza with a crispy crust. Most recently, we got take out. My pizza didn't have cheese on it even though I did indicate I wanted shredded mozzarella in the order. They were skimpy on the artichoke heart and broccoli pieces for the toppings as well. And again, even though I asked for it crispy, it wasn't even close. Overall, it seemed dry and bland. To top it off, my wife picked up the order, and it was sitting on the counter. She asked if that was our order, and the woman who was up front insisted it wasn't. This went on for 15 minutes, until that staff person relented and checked. She handed over the pizzas with no apology. I guess we'll have to find another pizza joint. read more

Esters may not look like much when you spot it in the little strip mall it calls home, but the ambiance inside is great. But what makes Esters a real standout is the food! The pretzel bites we ordered are apparently only available during football season, so if they're around when you are, GET THEM! I also loved the winter salad-- it was hearty and flavorful with great textures too. The pizza options all look so good, and the crust is amazing. I also ordered a kids size biscuit with mushroom gravy and loved that too! Next time, I'm looking forward to going for dinner and trying more varieties of pizzas. read more
