Pleasantly Surprised!…read more Short term, long term rehab, and assisted living. Early mid-August was here very short term. Was easily youngest patient here that I saw. Clearly not the typical patient in this environment. A review on my services received is of a different level. This is not that. Got to watch staff treating others. As a 1st timer at rehab...Despite decades hearing only negative opinions of these type facilities and staff, I was very pleasantly surprised. Facility was clean, and secure. Only saw pieces of what was available for enrichment. I always wish for more wherever I go. All the hands-on employees were very kind, caring, and busy with to-from patient residents or check-in visits. Despite having just arrived, well into shift, or handing off shift duties to go, all resident patient interactions showed interest, and responsiveness. They do what they can, with good bedside manner. Noted and appreciated friendly first name basis being used equally back and forth. On behalf of the more reliant patient/residents, I give 4of5.

They treat you like a member of their own family! A+++++++++++++++

My Mother was here for a long time and was loved by the staff. Many of the staff took really good…read morecare of her, while others where only there for the pay check and did as little as possible to make her stay a safe/healthy one. For people on vent care it's a lovely place. Parking is difficult as almost all visitor spots are taken by employees including the handicapped spot by an employee who is not handicapped. I do appreciate the care the Doug provided and the outstanding housekeeper Melissa.

I've been here for a little over a month. I had really looked forward to staying in such a…read morebeautiful, established, facility, but I really wish I hadn't stayed here. The most of the staff are very nice and helpful, but they are way understaffed, so It's hard to get efficient help when you use the call light. Also, meals are terrible. If they have any flavor at all, the are fried or full of grease or oil. Meals are not well thought out and cooked for elderly, or ill residents. I really expected and was told before I came here, that they had a full time cook and home made meals. You can tell that is not the case here. The one thing that really upsets me, I see they are building new offices (in a star shape) for upper staff members. For a facility that is so archaic and understaffed, that is ridiculous. If it wasn't for the residents, they wouldn't even have a facility. Why not take care of resident needs and staffing issues before spending so much money on offices. Such greed is all I see. Update the call lights to a system like the hospitals where staff can call down to the room when a light is on to see what is needed. That way the most urgent things can be attended to first, and what is needed can be taken straight to the rooms instead of having to make 2 trips. Also, provide radios or phones for ALL staff members so they can contact each other as needed, especially for emergencies. FIRST PRIORITY should be resident care and SECOND should be nursing/assistant staff. LAST should be providing new officies for upper staff. Needless to say, If I have to return to a nursing home, it won't be here. I LOVED Warwick when it was opened, I would have happily lived there. My doctors would like me to stay long term, but I'm glad to be leaving here.
