Jackie was the best NP I have seen. She was prompt, kind and professional. I'm so glad I found this clinic.

The primary care physician that I had used for the last 30 years recently closed his practice. My…read moredaughter suggested Dr. Zane Cooke, MMC. I am so glad she did. My first visit was with his PA, Cassidy Crawford, and she was fantastic. I saw Dr. Zane Cooke for the first time yesterday and was completely impressed. Dr. Cooke spoke with me about my lab results in a sincere, unhurried manner. We discussed my medical history, and he genuinely seemed to care. Dr. Cooke is a credit to his profession. I also want to mention his nurse (I feel bad that I do not recall her name). She was professional, nice, and efficient. So glad my daughter suggested him.

I love my doctor, however, MMC is very frustrating for multiple reasons. #1 - they had a security…read morebreach and my personal info - including SSN was hacked. Now I have to go through a monitoring company and contact the various credit bureaus to put a freeze on my credit. #2 they make you check in online before you arrive, which is okay (or they hand you a tablet when you arrive). (I could see it being difficult for an elderly person). The check in process if normal - however at the end of the process - they have multiple POP UP Pharmaceutical advertisements trying to get me to ask my physician to prescribe multiple medications. I counted 4 screens today. I feel this is highly unprofessional. It is my physician's job to understand the meds and prescribe them. What did the pharmaceutical company pay MMC to market their drugs DIRECT to the patients???

I cannot review the doctors because I have yet to see one. However, the front desk, or those that…read moremake appointments, are inept at their jobs. I spent 7 hours on the phone looking for a PCP and finally was scheduled and waited three months to see one this past August. A week before the appointment, I had a nagging feeling whether or not I was in network with Fed BC/BS even though the site and Mid TN Medical assured me I was. I contacted BC/BS and was told I was not covered. I called the MTM and the desk personnel told me she believed I was covered. I told her that I did not need her belief, but I did need a definitive answer. All I got was, "I guess so." I called BC/BS back and they called the PCP office and contacted me to let me know that the doctor was new and her certification number was not registered with them. So, I had to cancel and received another appointment with another PCP in late October. I kept receiving appointment reminders to come in early, bring my ID and insurance card, and a list of medications. I got so many it was annoying but I kept all messages on my phone. I even received one the morning before the appointment but, at 430pm, I received a call that my appointment was cancelled because the doctor was going to be "out of town." I was livid with the desk clerk for not contacting me sooner. She said she left me a message and I told her I kept all my messages and there was no call to cancel my appointment. Then she sarcastically said, "Oh. I must have forgot." I just went off on her. This is over six months I have had to wait because MTM's worthless personnel. I am diabetic and have COPD and in need of prescriptions. I also needed FMLA papers signed for work and now they have expired -- this could get me fired if I call out due to illness. I need papers signed to update my handicap placard. I have liver disease and I need a physician in place for a pre-approved well-needed surgery but now I have to wait all because the front desk is lacking in brain cells. I won't get into their lack of empathy while explaining my situation either. I should have known better. Anything related to St Thomas has been a terrible experience for me.

My cousin had to be admitted and was treated well by all the medical staff. My only complaint is…read morethat it took three hours to get a room assigned after they decided to admit her. While the staff ate lunch we waited until after 2:30 to be sent to a room. I still do not know why. Then when we were ready to be dismissed. It took three hours to get the paper work done. If every business worked on this type of schedule they would be broke. With computers this is inexcusable.
