Several people have recommended this auto repair shop to me. They only work on Lexus/Toyota cars and I had a great experience. They are older and no nonsense and they are detailed and precise. I brought my wife's SUV here for a second opinion, after the last place told me to get rid of it without an explanation of why. Dave and his team diagnosed the problem within 20 minutes. I had major engine issues. They gave me a quote for a new motor. I proceeded with the work. Now it wasn't the smoothest process for them, but they stuck to there quote and did not attempt to get more money out of me. The car runs better than when I first bought it. We were having some issues with our 2016 Civic (bought from Toyota) and brought it to the Toyota dealership first. We were quoted a ridiculous amount so thought we would call Cedar Hill Automotive because we have used them many times in the past and they have always been professional, polite and reasonably priced. After some explanation of the car issues, I was told they would call me back. Long story short they looked into the issue with our car directly with Honda and found out that it was in fact all still under warranty. They put more effort into helping us then the place we bought the car from and Cedar Hill doesn't stand to make anything from this interaction. Dave "Knows" Best, is the man. i saw with my own eyes. a customer come to him told him the issue. he opened the hood instructed the person to turn the car on. after a minute he instructed them to turn off. he went to the tool box got a wrench and a screw driver worked so hard to reach a SMALL hose in a hard to reach part of the motor. showed us a hose and gently bent it, one time, and showed us a hair line crack in a curve of the hose. the car had been in front of several shops and techs costing lots of money the problem didnt go away and he fixed it in minutes. i have nothing to gain telling this story but truly amazing......you can bet you will NOT find a better tech or a better guy........ read more

I've been going to Dave for over a year and have yet to be disappointed. We have a 2000 Tacoma and a 2001 RX300. For me quality is very important but I do not want to spend an exorbitant amount of money on repairs and maintenance. Dave is courteous, fair, honest and skillful. He's also very affordable. That is why I am willing to drive from Plano to Cedar Hill for car repairs. I just do not trust anyone else. Cedar Hill Automotive has been my go to for all my owned Lexus and Toyota vehicles since 2009. From the very first appointment I had with them, I felt comfortable that I was not being taken advantage of and they were being honest. I love that I can get a bumper to bumper inspection with my oil changes which keeps me on top of necessary repairs and repairs that I can plan out. That has been the best thing for my budget (pocketbook) . I cannot imagine buying another model of vehicle as long as a place like this is around. I called frantically b/c I was heading back to Austin at 5:30pm from Dallas and my service light came on my Lexus- the woman I spoke with there was willing to assist and explained the reasoning for my service light (oil change). I could safely make the trip back to Austin for it to be service and because of the hurry I appreciated that! I didn't get it serviced there but definitely would have if I had more time. He is straight forward, honest, and a very knowledgeable man. On several occasions I have watched David talk to customers going into great detail about what the problem was/is with their cars. I have been going to Cedar Hill Automotive for several years. I can honestly say that David Best, Trudy and the entire team deliver an exemplary level of customer service. First, Trudy always provides a warm friendly greeting. The waiting area is quaint and comfortable with TV, coffee and water. Mr. Best and his team do a great job diagnosing issues and contacting you timely. They handle all repairs and service in a very timely manner. I drive a 2002 RX and the quotes are extremely reasonable. I have not had to take my car back for work previously done. This is a small business in a small city that makes you feel at home.
