I don't understand how a cook can mess up an order for a plain, no-topping hamburger, but they did have a sign for "HIRING COOK ALL SHIFTS" out front, so I guess the kitchen is what it is right now. 6 Dino nuggies and approximately 10 French fries on each plate. Didn't even get out of the restaurant before the kids were complaining about the taste; fry oil was rancid or the frozen French fries had de-temped and soaked in thaw starch before re-feezing, air frying, and being served to my kids. When a 2 year old refuses to eat dino nuggies, you know they're dried to a crisp. This is worse than graveyard casino food from the shadiest meth cooks money can't afford, and I've been a security guard for those spots. Didn't even have an ice maker for drinks in here - this place needs to just close up and offer some better tenants the space to do something besides greaseslop. I don't understand how a cafe offering food this bland, flavorless, reheated-in-an-air fryer can stay open on main street in Tahoe City. It was hospital food being served to a number of retirees with digestive conditions.

We love the Cedar House Pub! The food is great, especially the fish and chips. Chicken curry and Chicken Schnitzel are fabulous as well ! The bartender/ server Jeff is amazing and has an incredible, dry sense of humor. He is fun and intelligent, has great stories, and makes fabulous drinks!!!!!! My boss has really enjoyed Jeff, we hope he will back this Winter. Great place, great food, great people. read more

We visited here this past winter as a family. The food was delicious--homestyle and hearty after a day of skiing. The drinks from their full bar were great, and they had an outstanding wine selection. They also had live music and a fire going. It was the perfect place to enjoy a meal or even just a drink and apps after a day of skiing. read more

Immediately we knew the old school late 20th Century decor wasn't the vibe this place was doing...this was fine dining at its best. As if writing, they do a $95 four course prix fixe which is actually five courses (four plus dessert). Chef Watkins keeps a through line for the courses but varies the palate; while many restaurants of this caliber start to taste the same by the third course, every dish was a unique palate of excellence.. Wins - the bar (new spins on classic cocktails), the attention to detail (my water glass never was below half full), the veg (so fresh - ZOMG the morel mushrooms!)...everything. Keep an eye out for this place...and go now if you want to lock in that prix fixe price because when word gets out on this place, folks will happily pay double for the same thing!

It came with some good size potato chips that appeared to be made in house and sliced cucumbers. They were both fresh and crunchy. I also had two over easy eggs and ice tea.
