They helped with local info and made sure everything was correct with my booking. I added on days to original reservation and even the the hotel was full, they made sure I wouldn't have to change rooms. I highly recommend if staying in the area.

The outdoor pool looked really nice, although we didn't get a chance to use it. The indoor pool, however, was amazing--honestly one of the best hotel pools I've been in! They even provided pool noodles and toys, which was a really nice touch. The hot tub was awesome too, especially with the waterfall feature. Our room was comfortable and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable, and while I wish the pillows had been a little larger, they were still comfortable. The room also had a pull-out couch and a large TV. The bathroom was great, with a nice shower and wall-mounted shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. One thing I loved was the air conditioner. The fan was nice and loud, which meant I didn't even need to use my white noise machine to sleep--I slept great! We didn't use the fitness room, so I can't comment on that. Breakfast was grab-and-go style with a nice selection including cereal, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, and toast. We ended up going to the bagel shop across the street instead, but it looked like there were plenty of good options available at the hotel. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely stay here again. But while we were staying here we found many dead bugs inside of our room along with our share of alive bugs. Some were inside of our beds. The on the go breakfast had relatively good food and the hot chocolate was very good. But the coffee was horrible! It was all muddy and sluggish. I do want to mention that upon arrival one of our party members said that one of our queen beds was slanted and on our last night she completely rolled out of the bed and hit her head on the nightstand! And around the same time our toilet stopped working in the middle of the night and wouldn't flush. We heard that other people also had a similar issue. Our curtains had moth holes in them. The clock was behind by eight minutes. And one final thing is that our air conditioner had mold on the vent which could potentially be dangerous. But overall, despite the bad things that happened, it wasn't a horrible experience. The rooms were clean upon arrival. The service was really good. And that's why I left a three star review. But still, I wouldn't return.

And why is the hotel found on Yelp as Tranquility Springs because the spa is inside the Opechee Inn, but okay. So tonight, after several different visits to the restaurant and hotel gift shop (since Chaos and Kindness moved downtown--this is the only gift shop within walking distance to us), unfortunately, I am not thrilled with the hotel. Typically, while we wait for O Steaks restaurant to open, we sit quietly in the 'lodge room' or outside of the hotel entrance (under cover) for a few minutes. The restaurant opens at 4pm and since my husband had a stroke three years ago, we have to take our time walking. We have never had an issue, nor are there any signs saying "hotel guests only," so we rest in the lodge room (which is adjacent to the side door to the restaurant inside the hotel)--until today. We are reasonable people. And because I knew we got there even earlier than usual today, I specifically bought something at the gift shop ($15 Christmas gift for a family member), as a gesture of gratitude for being able to sit in the air conditioning in that EMPTY side room. So, here comes some hotel woman in just as we were getting ready to leave the room and enter O Steaks and asked if we were staying at the hotel. I replied no, that we're locals and were just waiting on the restaurant to open. THEN she informed us that they want to save the room for hotel guests! Ugh. Okay. Save the empty room! I was shocked and annoyed. We went to the restaurant immediately. But I will never go back into the Inn again. Believe it.

I found Lake Opechee on Expedia and went for it. The room was really big and nice. Two queen beds for me and me, a refrigerator, TV, seating area, desk, etc. On my first morning I had to be somewhere at 8am so I stopped at their free breakfast. I'm not sure what others are complaining about. There was coffee, tea, muffins, cereal, milk, yogurt, etc. It was fine. The employees I interacted with were all friendly. Cons would be the shower was a bit small, the water pressure was a little low, and my room was on the restaurant side of the building and there was some noise from that as the restaurant gets quite busy. One more thing I would add is the window coverings do not offer to blackout the morning light so plan on not having full darkness. All in all a very nice stay. Not cheap but nice!

Meredith is beautiful any time of year, but there was something especially nice about being here when things were a little quieter. From the moment we arrived, the whole place had the atmosphere we were hoping for: quaint, clean, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming. Our room was spacious, lovely, and very comfortable, and we absolutely loved the view. There is something about waking up beside the lake that makes it very easy to forget about whatever is waiting for you back home. The property is beautifully maintained, and everything we encountered was clean and in good condition without feeling overly polished or stuffy. It has the character you want from a New Hampshire lakeside inn, but still feels like a place where you can settle in and relax. The spa was probably one of the highlights of the weekend. We had treatments that were exceptionally relaxing, and the hot tubs overlooking the lake were the perfect place to unwind afterward. Sitting in a hot tub with the lake right in front of you is a pretty good way to spend an afternoon, especially when you aren't in any particular hurry to be anywhere else. The whole experience felt peaceful without being pretentious. We also really enjoyed the dining here. The restaurant and bar had friendly, attentive servers who were happy to help without hovering, and the food was very enjoyable. We had a delicious breakfast in the dining room each morning, which became a nice little part of our routine. There is something about having breakfast at a place like this when you're on a long weekend that makes you slow down a bit. No rushing out the door, no worrying about the commute, just coffee, breakfast, and the lake outside. What really stood out throughout our stay, though, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. It sounds like a small thing, but it makes a huge difference. We never felt like we were bothering anyone when we had a question or needed something, and there was a genuine warmth to the service that made the entire stay more enjoyable. Church Landing also benefits enormously from its location. Meredith and the surrounding Lakes Region are beautiful, and being right on the water gives the property a wonderful sense of place. You can come here and fill your days with restaurants, shops, boating, hiking, and exploring, or you can do what we did and spend a good portion of the weekend simply enjoying the property. We really enjoyed our stay, loved the room and the view, and thought the spa treatments were exceptional. Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully done. Most importantly, we left feeling relaxed, which is really the point of a long weekend away. We are already planning on coming back again soon. Five stars from us, and we would happily stay at Church Landing at Mills Falls again.

Since we had a 4 year old & a newborn with us we opted to get a room to spare a retired aunt and nearby campers of potential crying. This place was lovely! The view alone is worth it, set on a hill overlooking Lake Winnie! There are cottages each with its own grill, porch and parking (separated buildings) and then there is the main building with rooms attached. Because we are such a last minute decision we were only able to snag a room in the main building. It was a lovely room with two beds, air conditioning and clean! The only downside is that there isn't enough "counter space" for things. The bathroom didn't have any it was just a mirrored medicine cabinet in the bathroom and in the room itself, just atop the dresser and a little space on the nightstand which already had things on it. Other than that, there were chairs outside the room to sit outside and enjoy (we did during a rains storm). Also, we were the first room and everyone has to walk by our room to get to theirs as there's just one entrance so while in the room we kept the curtains drawn but it was not bad. They redid the pool evidently and it's a warm saltwater pool and it was so nice! They have plenty of towels and pool toys there along with ability to Bluetooth music. There's a deep end and shallow end. We made some friends at the pool! There isn't much shade just a few umbrellas so you need to get there at the right time. The property is located next to one of the best ice cream spots Kellerhause and there's a trail to walk directly over - this can be dangerous! It's also extremely dog friendly - we met so many cute pups! But surprisingly it's still clean so there isn't any indication of dogs in the rooms and my husband is allergic and he was fine. Consider this place if you are looking to check out this area of NH - you won't regret it!

I would have let the front desk know, but when I called at 7pm no one answered. I also tried to address it in person after addressing another issue, however, they seemed non-commital and unconcerned about the first issue so I figured they wouldn't care any more about the second. Overall, I would stay here again if it was between canceling my plans or staying here because it's very clean and well kept, but the front desk staff left a lot to be desired in terms of service. Wasn't expecting the 4 seasons, but basic attempts to satisfy the guest. Bottom line there are better options for slightly more money in the area.

The cabins are charming, with big windows that look out on the lake and large stone fireplaces to help warm you up on a chilly evening. We also really enjoy that the lovely town of Wolfeboro is just a few minutes down the road, making shopping for groceries or grabbing a quick breakfast out very convenient. This is a great place for families and groups of people vacationing together.
