The main reason I am giving a one star review is because every time I went there would be some type of extra charge that popped up that wasn't discussed before. It was annoying the first time but we figured insurance hadn't gone through correctly but then after just a few appointments there were extra charges like 500 here and 400 there. After paying and getting on the phone with insurance and the dentist office it showed that we had actually had a $380 credit. We figured that would be the end of it but then a month and a half later another $400 charge. No visit, or anything that should have resulted in a charge for $400 but for some reason it popped up. After every visit there seems to be some kind of extra charge that was not discussed before. After talking with a few other people who had gone to that dentist office apparently I wasn't the only one that this has happened to. Luckily some recommended other dentist that are nearby on 1st street. If you are looking for dental work that is supposed to be "healthy smiles made affordable" this is definitely not the place. Follow up to what was happening before. We got in contact with our insurance provider our insurance provider kept trying to get itemized lists for what we were getting charged for as well as all the different payments that had gone through. After getting hung up on thankfully our insurance told us not to worry about it and that they would take care of it but warned us this is not the first time that they've had aspen dental not actually put through insurance claims. Go here as a last resort look into any other dentist offices before going here.

The way they treated both myself and my grand daughter was caring and exceptional. Connie was thorough and informative and amazing as well as the Doctor who recommended the next steps. If you want to be blown away by customer service and immediate care to take care of any emergency situation, hands down I will never go to another dentist in Cedar Rapids for my family. I am a…read morerelatively new patient, but all of the reviews I read before going to her office agree with my experience. I needed a crown in a reasonable amount of time, as my dentist at the UI was scheduled out for months and I had had an emergency. I was able to get in and get the crown done in a reasonable timeframe. The crown took one visit, and it was perfect. It looks exactly like my natural teeth and fits perfectly along with its neighbors. Dr. Connors uses high tech 3D imaging (rather than biting a mold and making a cast) to create the plan for the crown, and then synthesizes it right there in the office while you watch. And then it's ready to install. Amazing! It is obvious that Dr. Connors is a master of her craft and I am extremely happy to have her as my dentist! (Also, the old house she has set up as offices is adorable!)

They have a nice perk - the comfort menu - that they offer during your cleaning. The comfort menu includes water, lip balm, a warm rice pack or neck pillow, and more. Nice touch especially for those of us who don't love going to the dentist. Dr. Lopshire is my current dentist (since 2021) and I've found him to be incredibly friendly, thorough, and professional.
