I have periodontal disease from a surgery I had which obstructed me from chewing, so I have to come every 3 month for my maintenance. They always greet you when you arrive, they go over the services and how much out of pocket it will be before rendered. You can say no to a service if you'd like. My dentist is Michael and he's hilarious and so comforting. I haven't had a problem yet and I've been coming here for about a year now. Also they do really good quality work, I never have any issues after my appointments. I'd recommend them.

Unless I can't breathe, I would rather suffer alone at home. I've been to Dr's offices where you spend twice as much time waiting than receiving care. I have known Dr Garbis for a very long time since our kids grew up playing football together. But I only started going to him maybe 3 years ago along with my son. Let me tell you, what a world of difference. No longer are there any reluctance. The staff is professional, courteous, friendly and actually pretty fun to be around from start to finish. And they are really efficient. Hardly any waiting at any of the times I've been there. I even had to change schedule but none was available for the time that I needed for months. So I requested they put me on a wait list for that time if it showed up. Sure enough, they contacted me within a month because someone cancelled. Again, in and out like clockwork. We talked at length about different processes, and he referred me to an oral surgeon, Dr Richard Nessif, for further evaluation. In the meantime, we began the process of impressions, measurements and models. This process took 6 months with many appointments to get everything just right. At each appointment, which was usually a minimum of 45 minutes, I felt like I was his only patient. He never left me sitting by myself, waiting for his return. And if he had to step out of the room, his assistant was there in case I needed anything. He took his time, never rushing, to make sure every aspect of the appliances were perfect. On the day of delivery it was obvious Dr Katkow is an expert in his field. The implants fit perfectly. His precise measurements have ensured a perfect fit and a very happy patient! Along with an outstanding experience I had with Dr. Katkow, his office staff should also be mentioned. Normally with any visit I have to a doctor well before the day of the procedure I am aware of how much my copay will be because the office makes me aware of this with a print out. I then schedule my appointment according to my ability to pay! Well today I show up for my appointment that was scheduled and was informed that I have a 150 copay. My procedure I was not made aware that I needed to pay for because I thought of it as a cleaning after my deep cleaning. I was told today it was maintenance for my procedure and I needed to pay the deductible. That's #1. #2 my son was told how much he needed to pay today. I didn't know what procedure he was to get done because he is 22yrs old I don't manage his care. He makes his own decisions at this point. Regardless of me knowing what MY deductible was for it in August of 2021 with a different insurance company. He was not made aware of what it was. Previously I was able to pay my copay on the second visit and have made the payment. I also had to go back because the bite was left uneven, which caused sensitivity and required additional filing (this is what the dentist explained to me). When it was replaced, I had to pay again because they said fillings are temporary, even though I've had fillings elsewhere that lasted 10+ years. The new filling has been sensitive for months, and I cannot chew on that side without sharp pain. Large pieces of food get stuck between my teeth, which is painful and uncomfortable. The way my teeth were filed makes chewing difficult and they look skinny and fang-like. The hygienist there even commented on how sharp they were. I gave them two chances to fix the problem, but now I have to go somewhere else and pay more to get it corrected. I do not trust this office anymore and would strongly caution anyone considering them for fillings.

they send a text message about a week before your appointment to confirm. if you don't respond,…read morethey automatically cancel the appointment and won't let you reschedule. they also charge you for the automatic cancellation. i work in a place that does not allow cell phones, so i didn't respond to the text. i missed the fact that my appointment was cancelled and drove to the office anyway, only to discover the automatic cancellation and charge. so i was charged even though i showed up on time for the appointment. make it make sense. this is such a bonkers policy, i have never seen it before. not only that but when i had a filling, they did not use enough Novocain because i was breastfeeding. according to my pediatrician, novocain is fine, and if i was nervous i could have "pumped and dumped" that milk. instead i was in pain the entire time. they also dropped a LIVE drill into my throat during the procedure. terrifying, the last time i went in for a cleaning, the hygienist scraped so hard i spat blood for the rest of the day. this was despite her saying "it's actually really clean in here! you are doing a great job!" i brush and floss daily. i woke up with a bad cold/cough/fever the morning i was scheduled to have three teeth filled (redos from their shitty work) and my entire mouth numbed. i called to try to cancel and was told i would be charged for cancelling late. this is wild, since i would be exposing everyone in their office to illness. at any rate, looking for a new dentist....
