Before treatment, I was given an estimate that seemed reasonable, but after the procedure, the final bill ended up being much higher. There was no clear explanation that certain services, like a CT scan, would not be covered by insurance, which led to unexpected charges. The billing changed multiple times, and some charges were only adjusted or removed after I questioned them, which made the whole process confusing and stressful. On top of that, the office seemed understaffed. During my visits, I was asked to hold the suction and air tube myself while the dentist was working, which felt very unprofessional and uncomfortable. the overall experience was disappointing due to the lack of transparency and organization. I would strongly recommend double-checking coverage with your insurance and getting everything clearly explained in writing before moving forward with any treatment here.

Unless I can't breathe, I would rather suffer alone at home. I've been to Dr's offices where you spend twice as much time waiting than receiving care. I have known Dr Garbis for a very long time since our kids grew up playing football together. But I only started going to him maybe 3 years ago along with my son. Let me tell you, what a world of difference. No longer are there any reluctance. The staff is professional, courteous, friendly and actually pretty fun to be around from start to finish. And they are really efficient. Hardly any waiting at any of the times I've been there. I even had to change schedule but none was available for the time that I needed for months. So I requested they put me on a wait list for that time if it showed up. Sure enough, they contacted me within a month because someone cancelled. Again, in and out like clockwork. We talked at length about different processes, and he referred me to an oral surgeon, Dr Richard Nessif, for further evaluation. In the meantime, we began the process of impressions, measurements and models. This process took 6 months with many appointments to get everything just right. At each appointment, which was usually a minimum of 45 minutes, I felt like I was his only patient. He never left me sitting by myself, waiting for his return. And if he had to step out of the room, his assistant was there in case I needed anything. He took his time, never rushing, to make sure every aspect of the appliances were perfect. On the day of delivery it was obvious Dr Katkow is an expert in his field. The implants fit perfectly. His precise measurements have ensured a perfect fit and a very happy patient! Along with an outstanding experience I had with Dr. Katkow, his office staff should also be mentioned. Since the change in receptionist I Dread coming to this office! I won't be returning as of today! Normally with any visit I have to a doctor well before the day of the procedure I am aware of how much my copay will be because the office makes me aware of this with a print out. I then schedule my appointment according to my ability to pay! Well today I show up for my appointment that was scheduled and was informed that I have a 150 copay. My procedure I was not made aware that I needed to pay for because I thought of it as a cleaning after my deep cleaning. I was told today it was maintenance for my procedure and I needed to pay the deductible. That's #1. #2 my son was told how much he needed to pay today. I didn't know what procedure he was to get done because he is 22yrs old I don't manage his care. He makes his own decisions at this point. Regardless of me knowing what MY deductible was for it in August of 2021 with a different insurance company. He was not made aware of what it was. Previously I was able to pay my copay on the second visit and have made the payment. However today it was an issue. 2 1/2 hour drive and a day off of work waisted and that's not even the best part THE BEST part is the entire office had the audacity to argue with me about how I needed to be notified of paying my money to them! Who does that?! Do better! With someone else cause I won't be back.
