They always greet you when you arrive, they go over the services and how much out of pocket it will be before rendered. You can say no to a service if you'd like. My dentist is Michael and he's hilarious and so comforting. I haven't had a problem yet and I've been coming here for about a year now. Also they do really good quality work, I never have any issues after my appointments. I'd recommend them.

Upon arriving, I was told that they do not conduct exams and cleanings on the same day. I was not informed of this when I made the appointment. This has never been my experience and looks like they want to bill insurance for maximum payout. After the x-ray, the dentist Dr. Parsana came in, announced to me that I had some gum pockets and that I needed deep cleaning. I politely informed her that I had periodontal cleaning just last year and I am not interested in a deep clean at this time. She proceeded to criticize my oral hygiene routine without asking me what I actually did. I was brought to the front office staff who was rude to me when I said that I did not want a deep clean at this time but would prefer to have a routine cleaning and think about a deep clean down the road. The staff person informed me that they would not do a routine cleaning and I would have to book a deep clean for 2 appointments that would cost me over $1000 out of pocket. I told her that I was not interested and I would like a copy of my x-rays. She agreed to email me the x-rays and I left. I did not receive the x-rays. I called my insurance provider and made a formal complaint for the refusal to care and non-provision of x-rays. Patients have the right to decide what is in their best interest. It is not the dentist's prerogative to decide on behalf of the patient, and push them towards expensive procedures, even if they believe those to be in the patient's best interest.

Unless I can't breathe, I would rather suffer alone at home. I've been to Dr's offices where you spend twice as much time waiting than receiving care. I have known Dr Garbis for a very long time since our kids grew up playing football together. But I only started going to him maybe 3 years ago along with my son. Let me tell you, what a world of difference. No longer are there any reluctance. The staff is professional, courteous, friendly and actually pretty fun to be around from start to finish. And they are really efficient. Hardly any waiting at any of the times I've been there. I even had to change schedule but none was available for the time that I needed for months. So I requested they put me on a wait list for that time if it showed up. Sure enough, they contacted me within a month because someone cancelled. Again, in and out like clockwork. Thinking this seemed like a high quote and inaccurate due to recommending braces/retainer-like work again for a year+, I had my full mouth exam sent over to the orthodontics office of Dr. Bonebreak. At my consult with Dr. Bonebreak, he reviewed the x-rays and told me an updated retainer (as mine was 10+ years old) and some composite cosmetic work would be all I should consider (note, not NEED). He even referred me out of his office to someone they trust. That office used the word "appalled" after their opinion was given and I told them what Columbia Smiles advised. I called back to Columbia Smiles asking to speak directly to Dr. Hicks. When explaining to her, instead of her offering an apology, she doubled down and said she stands by her opinion. She could've said 100 different things instead of this and I may have accepted an apology -- if she had ever said one. But nope. Word of mouth is strong in Columbia -- I know multiple people who have stopped services with them lately. Don't let Google fool you either, that 4.5/5 stars is a joke and there are plenty more negative reviews.

At each appointment, which was usually a minimum of 45 minutes, I felt like I was his only patient. He never left me sitting by myself, waiting for his return. And if he had to step out of the room, his assistant was there in case I needed anything. He took his time, never rushing, to make sure every aspect of the appliances were perfect. On the day of delivery it was obvious Dr Katkow is an expert in his field. The implants fit perfectly. His precise measurements have ensured a perfect fit and a very happy patient! Along with an outstanding experience I had with Dr. Katkow, his office staff should also be mentioned. Sara was very thorough in explaining the process to me, doing the scanning of my teeth, and reviewing the overall pricing and next steps. When I met with Dr. Gol, he was also very nice and honest. He explained next steps on what I can expect with Invisalign and discussed options he saw best for my treatment. Since the change in receptionist I Dread coming to this office! I won't be returning as of today! Normally with any visit I have to a doctor well before the day of the procedure I am aware of how much my copay will be because the office makes me aware of this with a print out. I then schedule my appointment according to my ability to pay! Well today I show up for my appointment that was scheduled and was informed that I have a 150 copay. My procedure I was not made aware that I needed to pay for because I thought of it as a cleaning after my deep cleaning. I was told today it was maintenance for my procedure and I needed to pay the deductible. That's #1. #2 my son was told how much he needed to pay today. I didn't know what procedure he was to get done because he is 22yrs old I don't manage his care. He makes his own decisions at this point. Regardless of me knowing what MY deductible was for it in August of 2021 with a different insurance company. He was not made aware of what it was. Previously I was able to pay my copay on the second visit and have made the payment. However today it was an issue. 2 1/2 hour drive and a day off of work waisted and that's not even the best part THE BEST part is the entire office had the audacity to argue with me about how I needed to be notified of paying my money to them!
