He found more damage underneath the threshold of one doorway -- probably shoddy original construction-- so applied his carpentry experience to repair/ replace the parts even though it was not part of the original plans. He even drove home to get additional supplies. He took the time to make it look nice and more importantly prevent future damage. He is very careful in the house and cleans up thoroughly. He said he knew how to do plaster and two weeks after the job was done cracks started to appear all over the wall. Fine - he said he would come back and fix it and that was 6-8 months ago. I've texted and called him many times and he's completely ignoring me. He also never rehung our hooks in our bathroom which he said he would do. I'm ok with something going wrong but you have to fix and finish jobs. I'm really disappointed. Wouldn't ever hire again.

Severe Quality Issues & Failure to Rectify…read more Project: Back patio and concrete sidewalk addition (2024) Contractor: Seth Tomlin (Tomlin's Home Services) I cannot recommend Tomlin's Home Services due to severe failures, poor workmanship, and a total lack of accountability. Despite being a polite individual, Seth's concrete work was substandard and resulted in a project that was both non-functional and aesthetically unacceptable. Primary Issues: Poor Grading & Drainage: The patio was not properly graded, leading to significant standing water. I raised concerns about the grading during the process multiple times, but they were ignored. Mechanical Failure: Incorrect materials were used for the sump pump drainage and base materials of the patio pad, causing water to discharge directly under the concrete pad and would have caused future structural instalbility of the pad (found when we tore the pad up to replace it two months later). I raised concerns about the option for these materials as well, and obviously it was also ignored. Substandard Finish: The project was left with breaks at the joints/edges, concrete splatter on my siding and brick, and a generally messy job site. Total Loss: The work was so poor that I had to hire a second contractor to completely tear out and redo the patio pad. I am still facing the cost of repairing the sidewalks. Resolution Failure: Over the last two years, I have provided Seth with extensive photo documentation and multiple opportunities to provide a refund and cover the corrective costs. While he initially agreed to a repayment in his words to avoid involving his insurance, he has failed to provide any reimbursement to date. The Bottom Line: This experience has cost me a significant amount of money in both the initial payment and the subsequent demolition/reconstruction. If you are looking for quality concrete work and a contractor who stands behind their mistakes, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

The company requested routing and account numbers to process invoice payments--see attached photos for confirmation. However, the manager later claimed they do not collect such information, which contradicts the documentation. Please note paint suplys was billed and charged but no painting was completed, see photos.. Please note the company unethical practice of giving our personal information, name, city and zip. Additionally, the invoices lack transparency. There is no itemized list of material costs--only a total is provided. The company refuses to produce receipts for confirmed trips to Home Depot and Handyman Hardware, despite multiple mentions by both the manager and handyman of purchasing materials from these stores. Their response has been, "Trust us, we buy in bulk," which is not acceptable without documentation. Workmanship was subpar, with several jobs left incomplete. Prices were extremely high, and the business practices appear questionable. I was never hostile, but when a company threatens collections, I have every right to seek legal counsel. Attached are: Examples of manager lying in real time. Invoices requesting sensitive banking information Emails stating they do not provide receipts Material lists without itemized costs I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.
