It took a little while for the food to be ready, but you can see the staff preparing the food fresh from behind the counter.  For the plate, I ordered the chicken and beef shawarma which were seasoned very well. Returning customer* Reached out to Cedar's Market in 2021 for a large gathering to accommodate Birria for about 150 guests, follow up was swift, easy, friendly and the birria was great. Since then I've kept them on my radar for any halal accomdations, especially for their delicious birria. Was disappointed when I reached out to them recently to find they are under new management and have lost some of the quality service that made them so enticing in the first place. Called about birria for about 40 guests and was greeted with two separate numbers to call outside of the Market because of their new management. "Leo" was helpful over the phone but didn't answer any questions, and forwarded me to the new manager "Mohammad/Amin". When I finally got a call back from Amin, he was receptive but didn't bother following up or making the effort to confirm any order or pricing that I requested through text after our call. Seemed friendly but to "busy" to bother. Really disappointed with the experience here, lack of leadership and service. They seem like a small family owned business that has a great kitchen staff and food, but is at odds with the operations. Really hope the best for them and their business but they need some re-organizing and leadership. read more

I absolutely love this establishment.. from the staff whom are so hospitable to everyone who walks in the door, to the place itself, a meat market with a wide variety of top quality goods / small restaurant. The goods are consistently restocked and stored correctly. The meat is always fresh.. they even make their own in house seasonings and herb blends (an impressive Zaatar blend which is the reason I'm making this review to begin with). Their small restaurant side is solid, great sauces and fresh/juicy/tender meat, what more can you ask for. My name is Jimmy. I am staying at Bell convalescent hospital next to this wonderful market for temporarily as a stroke patient. I was told by one of the nurse at the hospital that I should try it. Making long story short I am in love with this market and grill. Food they make and service they offer me touching my heart. Excellent burgers and fries. Staffs are wonderful! Thank you guys. I as a stroke patient, I can't walk properly yet. One day I walked in for a burger and she offered free delivery from now on If I can't come to pick foods up in case hospital won't let me go. This was my first time at this restaurant and I have to say I am in love. The owners of the restaurant were such kind and generous people they will treat you just like you are in their home. I ordered chicken shawerma, beef shawema, tabouleh salad. I absolutely love all these dishes ... all the food here was made the authentic way, and from scratch.. even the pickles were to die for. Let me tell you that I still remember this place 5 years later looking it up just to leave it 5 stars because it was legit one of the best foods i have ever eaten in my entire life. Unbelievable. The service was also super sweet, I believe the son ended up starting his own food business too cause I found it on Yelp years later and it looks like its doing great. If you drive by this place you would miss it. It's inside a weird shopping center so at first hard to spot. But once you're there they not only have a great selection of halal meats but also great food. This was my second time coming here and I really love the food and the service. I ate at this location over a year ago and gave it a five star review back then when it was under its previous management. I thought OMG how was it possible that everybody was providing such great reviews for a meat market. But I was wrong then and I am wrong now. I ate their again today 5/8/19 their, beef Shawarma with no veggies and no pickled vegetables, a falafel and this mini meat football they call a Kabob. Even while under new management this place remains absolutely delicious and one must stop to try some of their Halal / fusion foods. Their sauces have a little Latin twist to them and make the whole meal that much better. The service was amazing, and though small (seats for about 6 people, maybe a few more maximum), it felt like home. I always pass this place and always want to stop by. I finally did and I am glad I did. It's a meat market with hot food service. There are tables to eat or you can take it to go. The customer service was great and the food was yummy. I ordered the mixed shwarma platter. The meat was tender and cooked fresh as I waited. It was served on a bed of yellow rice. The side of hummus had good flavor and there was also a small chopped salad. Warm pita was also included . I tried a type of cabbage roll stuffed with meat and rice that was fantastic. This market and grill was one of the best surprise lunches I've had in a while. I didn't actively go searching for it, but it popped up when I was trying to decide where to go out to eat for a Friday treat. Parking was a little tough to pull off (lunch time rush) but once we got there, we placed our order at the register and got seated. The food is made fresh so there is a wait, but absolutely worth it. Not only did we get a change to try the kabob/kibbeh, but I ordered the shawarma mix to sample what they had to offer. Let me tell you, it was delicious through and through. The salad was fresh, cold, and washed thoroughly with amazing vegetables. The meat was so flavorful without being overpowering, and the rice really hit the spot as a contrast. The sauces they include just made the eating experience that much better, and they even had an extra kabob/kibbeh for the group. The portion of the food was HUGE, so much more than I was expecting which makes this place both healthy, delicious, and priced low (in my opinion). Be sure to check out the market items as well. If I had room, I would have bought some dessert for my group (nuts in honey was what caught my eye) but I focused on my plate. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. read more

The first time I ate here I had halal food, it was very different. It was sweet and tangy, definitely not what I was expecting. It turned me off to the place for a little while, but I would like to clarify it wasn't bad. I went back and decided to get the opposite route and this time I got Asada a fries. What I got was a delight strange mixture of sweet and savory goodness that included corn and pickled beets. It also came with a small cup of sauce that added more complexity and a more than a little heat. Definitely going to order the fries again. Definitely getting extra sauce next time. Came here looking for the old meat market but found out that they changed the name of this place. I'm not sure if it's under new ownership of not. There was a nice older lady at the register, very helpful. I ordered the chicken shawarma with a side of fries. The shawarma was ok but I remember it tasting better at the old place. The fries were pretty good. Nice and crispy. I ended up getting a stomach ache a few hours after that. Don't know what caused that. I can't blame it on breakfast because I didn't have any that day.
