Great! Delicious food and a clean lovely atmosphere. Wonderful service, everyone was very nice and accommodating. We ordered the Cali burrito with asada and zinger wrap. Both were very tasty. Wish they were spicy but you could probably ask for that, we just used the cholula they had on the counter. Would be better if they served a homemade salsa next to it. For desert Ash il saraya was delicious. Sweet and creamy, perfect with tea. Highly recommend!

Found it by random on Yelp and decided to try. I got the Chicken Wrap and co worker got the Philly Fries. Both fresh and delicious. Next time, I need to try out that meat market!

DOWN GRADE RATING ALERT! Ordered the Western Bacon Cheese Burger Onion Rings and a Chicken Wrap. The Burger was good. The Chicken Wrap was good as well. Both not as good as I remembered. Attributed it to the fact I came in and ordered about 45min before closing. But everyone was standing around when I walked in so I thought not only had I made the cut, but maybe this restaurant, (that already held my admiration), was different than other experiences under similar circumstances. The vibe however was weird, no soon as I hit the order counter, and at one point I even asked whether it was ok to order. Shook it off and ordered anyway and took a seat. When the order started to arrive at the table, the Onion Rings took first. Usually a favorite of mine, (due to their light golden brown toned freshness and tender crispy bite), this time and only this time, (after all the times I have been here previously), they were a little on the darker brown than, golden brown, side which translates to over fried and hard. I normally try not grabbing a bite at restaurants, (especially ones I regard highly), that are within an hour or under of their closing time, because it can get really sticky with your orders integrity, as well as, service. Simply just not a good move. It gets all weird, and turns out being a bummer all the way 'round. Offsetting previous more favorable reviews, (in my opinion), rendering them inconsistent and incredible all together. But when your experience and interaction with staff just seems weird odd and uncomfortable. Then transmutes, not only the service, but also flavor and quality of your meal. It can be disappointingly awkward and almost upsetting. Next time I will visit a little earlier, (like previous times). Have not been in a while and enjoyed the remodel inside. See you again.

I loved the smells and atmosphere. I can't believe that I finally found a place where I can eat and not feel hungry after my lunch time is over. I was happily surprised! I will be visiting this place again! The portions were amazing, the fella working the counter had a good attitude and everything came out faaaast!

Once again place never fails, services Was a little slow this time but can't complain when the customer service makes up for it. I love coming and the oldest son i believe always welcome my family and I and always treats us as family. The food is always hot and fresh and always have to show love to family owned restaurants. Even if they have a closer location I love going there .

Place gets a well deserved 5 stars. Food is HALAL, fresh, and delicious. Place is nice and clean including the restrooms. Workers are nice respectful and friendly. I will be coming back and recommending this spot to friends and family In Shaa Allah. This might not be a big deal for some but it is a HUGE deal for my family and myself, A halal Muslim owned restaurant that plays NO music. Thank you Jazakum Allahu khayran May Allah reward you and put so much baraka/blessings in your business.

How's the steak here? Do they ask for how you want it done? For example, medium rare and etc.

I've only ever had the beef schwarma plate and it's great. A lot of flavor, tender and seems to have more juiciness than other places.

I first visited while I was in the area with my best friend, who is also half Argentinian like me and does modeling as a hobby. She had just finished another successful photoshoot on the Eastside of Los Angeles, made great connections, and got some amazing content. It was getting late, and we wanted to start heading back home toward the freeway, but we were starving. We both love food and get the munchies now and then, but we also wanted to celebrate her latest milestone, so I suggested La Casita Mexicana. The ambiance was like stepping into a little casita in Mexico -- bright, colorful, vibrant, and welcoming. The staff were friendly, too. We tried an appetizer and shared the Enchiladas Tres Moles. Granted, I've never had truly authentic mole, but I've had versions of mole that were not good. The mole here, however, was out of this world delicious. Even the mole that came with the dinner chips as their "salsa mole" was fantastic. I remember thinking, I feel like I'm experiencing Michelin-star-level food in the middle of the LA barrio. And honestly, that's the beauty of the barrio. There are culinary diamonds all over Los Angeles -- you just have to give them a chance and be willing to try somewhere new. I've since returned with my boyfriend, and the food has never disappointed. For a little personal context, I'm half Argentinian and half Mexican. Although the Mexican side of my family is from Guadalajara and Sonora, I didn't grow up eating Jalisco-style cuisine, so exploring different regional Mexican cooking has been especially fun for me. It's always interesting discovering flavors and traditions that are part of my own heritage but weren't necessarily part of my upbringing. La Casita Mexicana is definitely one of those places I'm glad I ventured out for -- and another successful Eat the World LA discovery.

The chorizo was a bit too salty for my taste, but the cecina more than made up for it and honestly was my favorite of the three. The carne asada was solid too, cooked just right and full of flavor. Before the food even came out, they brought us chips with mole, and those were perfect on their own, a worthy palette opener while we waited! Service was great the entire meal, our server checked in often without hovering and made the whole experience feel special. For a birthday dinner with the family, it was just right.

For us, that's El Ranchito in Huntington Park. It's a family-owned, authentic Mexican restaurant that has had the community on its back for the last 6 decades. They hand-make the tortillas right in front of you, serve up fresh chunky guac, and make their iconic Mama Avila's soup fresh daily. It's rare that a soup has me hitting a stank face, but here we are. The Camarones al mojo de ajo is a can't miss appetizer. It's succulent shrimp sauteed in butter and fresh garlic, made to be eaten with the piping hot homemade tortillas. They have all the traditional Mexican dishes, my brothers go to is the chile relleno, but I always just run the fajitas. I'm sure I'll get clowned for this, but nothing heals my trauma and existential dread like a plate of sizzling fajitas. My pops has worked in the area for longer than I've been alive, so El Ranchito has seen every iteration of me, and of my family. For that, I am grateful. Service is attentive, the food has its charm with in-house made tortillas. It really was a hard review to write because all the elements of a great restaurant is embodied in this hidden gem. I chalk it up to ordering the wrong items. The flavors did not pop for me. Hubby opted for the chorizo and he said it was decent and he described it as "diet chorizo"--that he'd probably needed to go back to Sinaloa to capture the true essence of "real" chorizo, the way it's meant to be. The star of his meal was the in-house made flour tortillas-now that's authentic! This is/was the reason that it leaned towards a 4 star. These looked and tasted phenomenal. The aroma took me back to the times when we visited Rosarito's Puerto Nuevo, as the lady made the tortillas by hand & pressed them in the comal, ahh, good times. I ordered the vegetarian omelette with beans & potatoes. The omelette was decent with fresh bell peppers & onions but the seasoning was so mild that I requested for salt & pepper. The potatoes appeared well seasoned in color but lacked that oomph that salt & pepper couldn't fix. My apple pancakes were average. While I appreciated the strawberry compote, there was no apple or apple taste in them. To wash everything down, I had cafe de olla, that was good. The aroma of the brown sugar & cinnamon was ever present. Estrella, our server was very welcoming, attentive and friendly, she gets 5 stars for her service with a smile & hospitality. Their lunch & dinner menu looked very appealing but we wanted breakfast items. We wish we were both molé enthusiasts then perhaps we would've better appreciated & enjoyed those offerings. Both indoor & outdoor seating (front & rear), parking is free & shared with their liquor store at this corner small plaza. Beware, no restrooms available. I'm glad we gave this little shop a try.
