Stayed 3 nights in this lovely secluded B&B. Take time to wander the property to discover hidden gems and pet the 4 kitties. (All outdoor cats) . Ms Janis is a wonderful hostess and a true Steel Magnolia. Loved her almond cakes and her sausage- learned some new recipes as an added bonus.

Rest and refresh at Brazos On The River. My husband and I found this beautiful bed-n-breakfast a couple years ago and fell in love with it and with the owner, sweet Janice. We now live in Glen Rose and I am currently marketing for her. This month of October is Pastor appreciation month and we are offering Pastor's 25.00 off Monday through Thursday stay. Please call Janice to purchase a certificate for your pastor to come rest, reflect, pray and enjoy Cedars On The Brazos. Janice will make you feel at home and cook you a wonderful breakfast and share her God story on how Cedar On The Brazos came about. Call her today at 254-898-1000. Be sure to tell her Tina sent you. I know you will love it as much as we did.

This small warm B&B was the most amazing, relaxing, sweetest place to be. My kids and I were on a one day trip. Just to float down the river and we loved it! We will most definitely be back! The owner Janice was the sweetest and loving woman! My kids were so surprise and excited to see Longhorns by our window. We had a fun time. Thank you Cedars On The BRAZOS!!!

HOSPITALITY at its Finest! This place is a warm blanket of sunshine and flowers and hidden trails, with pockets of lovely areas to sit and gaze upon the wonders of creation, or explore to your hearts content down to the river and over the rocks to fish or splash on the waterfall. Janice is the brainchild and keeper of this Garden of Heaven on Earth. She made our stay feel like visiting a relative! She provided all the essentials while giving just enough privacy to feel like you have your own private getaway. She went above and beyond any place I have ever been. From coming down to welcome us, leaving donuts on the patio for us the first morning, welcoming us into the lodge with a grand tour and waters for our hiking trip, then providing a beautiful full breakfast Easter Sunday morning for my whole family ! I came here to celebrate my 40th Birthday with a group of 8 and had PLENTY of room in the Casa Mesa - private home on the Huge property. It has a huge patio for sitting and grilling by the pool and 3 bedrooms with cozy beds and nice bathrooms, and plenty of room left over for full size airbeds. There are lots of extra blankets, a good size kitchen to create wonderful meals with your family, and tables for dining and playing games! I Have to mention that morning breakfast specifically- that was served In the Lodge. Not only was it delicious, beautifully set banquet style, but the story that Janice told was just SO Touching! She explained how Her and God created this place together! She went into very entertaining detail the story of her journey and how this place came together! THAT made the whole trip for me! I had tears running down my cheeks and inspiration in my heart! The Lord is So Goood! I Love this woman and I aspire to be like her! I feel so blessed for having the opportunity to share this place with my family!

We got so lucky to have a bunch of rain before our stay and the kids played in the creek all weekend, chasing frogs and crayfish. Waterfall was incredible. Cabin was super clean, with great amenities we didn't expect - just perfect. The owners were over the top sweet and even texted us pics of the kids playing in the creek. Of course we did the Fossil Rim trip and Dinosaur Valley stop while we were here. We will 100% make this an annual visit.

We have stayed at these cabins for years now and never had any issues. However, we stayed last…read moreweekend and there was a terrible storm Sunday night that knocked out power to the entire town overnight. We spent an uncomfortable night without power (hot) and being woken by the beds creaking loudly every time someone moved (bathroom door squeaked as well). The storm damaged the roof and shingles were everywhere the next morning. I filled out and left a comment card the next morning letting them know that the night was not the best due to no electricity, etc and also mentioned my frustration with being charged extra for the kids (which had not occurred the last few years). I did suggest they add a backup generator. I was a little irritated as we spent $191 a night to be super uncomfortable and not sleep. However, I did not ask for a refund, include anything personal in my comments, or post anything online. We left the cabin that morning after making sure (by flashlight) that it was clean and we had all our belongings. As always, I made sure the dishes were done, trash taken out, and bundled all used linen in one spot. We left the cabin in good condition. At 3 that afternoon, I received an extremely disrespectful message stating that my comments on the card were "irrelevant" and that they had people waiting in line to book their cabins. The owners went on to state that I was being put on a list of people not to rent to ("...which only includes scammers and those who abuse our property"). Then they stated that the main mattress was ruined and soaked with urine. As we do have a 5 year old (who doesn't wet the bed at all usually, but hey I guess it could happen), I stated that we had no idea the mattress was wet but I did not argue and was willing to pay for mattress cleaning. HOWEVER, they went on to say that the cabin was left in "atrocious" condition and that they had to pay their cleaning lady 3x the normal cleaning cost due to the need for "heavy duty cleaning". This is when I realized something was terribly wrong. We left the cabin in very good condition with no known issues. I queried as to what was wrong with the cabin and was told that there were "stains everywhere, pee all over the bathroom, and then the soaked mattress". They even went on to say they had "never had a cabin left in this condition". I knew at this point that something was off. I asked for specifics on stains and the "liquid in the bathroom" and asked for pictures. I received no response. When we got home, I checked my 5 year old's pajamas and there was no urine or urine smell on them. I texted the owners back and inquired as to whether the damage sustained to the roof (shingles were everywhere!!) might have caused a leak which led to the ruined mattress, stains(??), and the liquid in the bathroom which they claimed was urine. I again received no response. I then stated that they make sure to charge my credit card for the damages separately as I would be disputing them...which I currently am. This is the most bizarre situation I have ever experienced. I can't decide if this is retaliation for the negative comment card or if they really did experience roof leakage (which they think is pee??!!). Not to mention the extreme rudeness and I professionalism of the texts zi was sent. Needless to say, this is our very last stay here.

We had such a special stay in the train car--this place is truly something unique. Every detail of…read morethe space was thoughtfully designed. It had all the charm you'd hope for (the vintage feel, the clawfoot tub, even the most creative little touches like the sink), while still being incredibly comfortable with modern amenities. You can tell a lot of care went into making it both beautiful and livable. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the setting. Waking up to open fields, wildflowers, and animals nearby, and then winding down under a sky full of stars--it felt peaceful in a way that's hard to find. It was the kind of place that gently pushes you out of your comfort zone in a safe and meaningful way, and those are the experiences that stick. There were also a few thoughtful touches and moments during our stay that made it feel even more special and memorable. It created some true core memories for my kids--those little unexpected experiences that you don't forget. The caretakers were absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and took extra time to make sure we were comfortable. You can feel how much they care about the space, the animals, and the people who visit. This isn't a typical stay--it's something much more intentional. It feels like a place where the land and animals are genuinely cared for, and you're invited to be part of that, even if just for a short time. We will absolutely be back, and are already looking forward to trying some of the other spaces on the property next time.

The "inn" is really a 40 acre farm (bed and breakfast) with animals for kids to look at, various buildings to view, and a community fire pit. Ordinarily, there is a breakfast bar that was not functioning during the pandemic. The bucolic environment was very relaxing and we appreciated the time away from the hustle and bustle. There were some problems with our Airstream. The inside smelled musty and the sheets had some weird odor. We were there in October and it got cold at night but there was no heat so we froze during the night. There were no blankets. The "kitchen" was not very well equipped, lacking even a bottle opener. So, we enjoyed our time but it would have been better if the Airstream had been better maintained and equipped.

The front entrance and lounge area was nice and clean, the staff at the front desk was courteous and helpful. Upon entering the room, it initially looked clean. However, upon further review, it was not as clean as it looked. it was obvious the room was recently painted and in a very sloppy unprofessional manner. Major paint runs were on the curtains and arm chair. The bathroom baseboards were dingy and dirty (picture included). There was what looked like human waste smeared near the door jam (picture included). The floor had dirt and grit that could be felt with your feet. I was curious of how dirty the floor actually was, so I took a wet washcloth and rubbed with my foot, as you can see in the video. Being a laminate floor, there's no reason it should be that dirty if it's mopped daily. The ironing board was broken and couldn't be used w The continental breakfast the next morning was also a disappointment. The orange juice tasted sour, very minimal selection for food items and no fresh fruit provided, not even apples! The only reason it deserves 1 star is due to the hotel being quiet. For the price we paid, our entire stay here was a complete disappointment and we will drive further to stay in a nicer hotel in the future.
