Stayed in room #114 Blood stain on a hand towel in bathroom. Hardly any shower pressure. Made it really hard to wash out my hair. Water in the ice bucket not taken up prior to our arrival. Bathroom was in terrible condition. See photos. Chipped paint in tub among other things. Shower curtain not long enough to stay in the tub while showering so all the water gets out soaking the floor. I'm guessing that's why there is so much damage to the lower walls. Lightbulb out at desk lamp. I had to ask for more waffle mix because their big machine was empty. Juice machine broken. No hot coffee in the coffee containers first morning there. Fitness room closed for repairs. For what we paid I wouldn't recommend staying here. You could find a much better hotel somewhere else. Girl at the front desk was sweet and tried to accommodate the best she could. Other than that they need to touch this place up for sure.

Dirty sheets, stains on furniture and lamp shades. One bed broken and sunken in.

This place some how has an 8/10 on hotels.com. I have never once asked for another room in a hotel, this was a first. First room the shower was clogged and brown and black flakes of stuff came up when we tried to twist the drain. The second room after requesting another room had dirty sheets, the air was not on at all, and one of the beds box springs or mattress was broken and caved in. The let me look at a third room and again sheets were stained, and furniture too. The walls were chipped and worn. The whole place looks like they attempted to "put lipstick on a pig". The woman up front was kind and apologized for the rooms being undesirable. I'm not sure if she was use to that issue or what, but regardless she was professional and did her job well. She deserved 5 stars for that. This hotel deserve none for not even trying to create an environment where you feel welcome or clean in the room. We got a refund and went to comfort Inn a mile up the road, where the place didn't smell funny in the hallways and rooms. Don't bother with this place.

Nice full length mirror & high ceilings.

I gave it two stars because the breakfast was pretty good and the rooms were big and had a few modern touches. I didn't give more stars than that because: -BEWARE: the pool area is slippery. Several people said they almost fell and a little boy split his lip open requiring stitches and chipped his tooth. They should prob do more to add more texture or put different flooring to prevent this. -BED: the bed was hard, maybe some people like it that way but I tossed and turned all night. The pillows were pretty good. -ROOMS COULD BE CLEANER: luckily the bedding seemed fresh and clean, however, the floor was sticky in one area, the handle to the bathroom was sticky, there was dust on all surfaces like they were never wiped down, and fingerprint smudges on everything. I also can't figure out why the coffee pot is put in the bathroom literally two feet from the toilet. There was plenty of room in the room to put it, no need to put it right next the toilet. The breakfast was good for a hotel. Breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereal, waffles (you make yourself), mini muffins, and juice etc. It was busy and the attendant was doing her best to keep everything filled.

We got so lucky to have a bunch of rain before our stay and the kids played in the creek all weekend, chasing frogs and crayfish. Waterfall was incredible. Cabin was super clean, with great amenities we didn't expect - just perfect. The owners were over the top sweet and even texted us pics of the kids playing in the creek. Of course we did the Fossil Rim trip and Dinosaur Valley stop while we were here. We will 100% make this an annual visit.

However, we stayed last…read moreweekend and there was a terrible storm Sunday night that knocked out power to the entire town overnight. We spent an uncomfortable night without power (hot) and being woken by the beds creaking loudly every time someone moved (bathroom door squeaked as well). The storm damaged the roof and shingles were everywhere the next morning. I filled out and left a comment card the next morning letting them know that the night was not the best due to no electricity, etc and also mentioned my frustration with being charged extra for the kids (which had not occurred the last few years). I did suggest they add a backup generator. I was a little irritated as we spent $191 a night to be super uncomfortable and not sleep. However, I did not ask for a refund, include anything personal in my comments, or post anything online. We left the cabin that morning after making sure (by flashlight) that it was clean and we had all our belongings. As always, I made sure the dishes were done, trash taken out, and bundled all used linen in one spot. We left the cabin in good condition. At 3 that afternoon, I received an extremely disrespectful message stating that my comments on the card were "irrelevant" and that they had people waiting in line to book their cabins. The owners went on to state that I was being put on a list of people not to rent to ("...which only includes scammers and those who abuse our property"). Then they stated that the main mattress was ruined and soaked with urine. As we do have a 5 year old (who doesn't wet the bed at all usually, but hey I guess it could happen), I stated that we had no idea the mattress was wet but I did not argue and was willing to pay for mattress cleaning. HOWEVER, they went on to say that the cabin was left in "atrocious" condition and that they had to pay their cleaning lady 3x the normal cleaning cost due to the need for "heavy duty cleaning". This is when I realized something was terribly wrong. We left the cabin in very good condition with no known issues. I queried as to what was wrong with the cabin and was told that there were "stains everywhere, pee all over the bathroom, and then the soaked mattress". They even went on to say they had "never had a cabin left in this condition". I knew at this point that something was off. I asked for specifics on stains and the "liquid in the bathroom" and asked for pictures. I received no response. When we got home, I checked my 5 year old's pajamas and there was no urine or urine smell on them. I texted the owners back and inquired as to whether the damage sustained to the roof (shingles were everywhere!!) might have caused a leak which led to the ruined mattress, stains(??), and the liquid in the bathroom which they claimed was urine. I again received no response. I then stated that they make sure to charge my credit card for the damages separately as I would be disputing them...which I currently am. This is the most bizarre situation I have ever experienced. I can't decide if this is retaliation for the negative comment card or if they really did experience roof leakage (which they think is pee??!!). Not to mention the extreme rudeness and I professionalism of the texts zi was sent. Needless to say, this is our very last stay here.

It had all the charm you'd hope for (the vintage feel, the clawfoot tub, even the most creative little touches like the sink), while still being incredibly comfortable with modern amenities. You can tell a lot of care went into making it both beautiful and livable. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the setting. Waking up to open fields, wildflowers, and animals nearby, and then winding down under a sky full of stars--it felt peaceful in a way that's hard to find. It was the kind of place that gently pushes you out of your comfort zone in a safe and meaningful way, and those are the experiences that stick. There were also a few thoughtful touches and moments during our stay that made it feel even more special and memorable. It created some true core memories for my kids--those little unexpected experiences that you don't forget. The caretakers were absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and took extra time to make sure we were comfortable. You can feel how much they care about the space, the animals, and the people who visit. This isn't a typical stay--it's something much more intentional. It feels like a place where the land and animals are genuinely cared for, and you're invited to be part of that, even if just for a short time. We will absolutely be back, and are already looking forward to trying some of the other spaces on the property next time.

The "inn" is really a 40 acre farm (bed and breakfast) with animals for kids to look at, various buildings to view, and a community fire pit. Ordinarily, there is a breakfast bar that was not functioning during the pandemic. The bucolic environment was very relaxing and we appreciated the time away from the hustle and bustle. There were some problems with our Airstream. The inside smelled musty and the sheets had some weird odor. We were there in October and it got cold at night but there was no heat so we froze during the night. There were no blankets. The "kitchen" was not very well equipped, lacking even a bottle opener. So, we enjoyed our time but it would have been better if the Airstream had been better maintained and equipped.

The front entrance and lounge area was nice and clean, the staff at the front desk was courteous and helpful. Upon entering the room, it initially looked clean. However, upon further review, it was not as clean as it looked. it was obvious the room was recently painted and in a very sloppy unprofessional manner. Major paint runs were on the curtains and arm chair. The bathroom baseboards were dingy and dirty (picture included). There was what looked like human waste smeared near the door jam (picture included). The floor had dirt and grit that could be felt with your feet. I was curious of how dirty the floor actually was, so I took a wet washcloth and rubbed with my foot, as you can see in the video. Being a laminate floor, there's no reason it should be that dirty if it's mopped daily. The ironing board was broken and couldn't be used w The continental breakfast the next morning was also a disappointment. The orange juice tasted sour, very minimal selection for food items and no fresh fruit provided, not even apples! The only reason it deserves 1 star is due to the hotel being quiet. For the price we paid, our entire stay here was a complete disappointment and we will drive further to stay in a nicer hotel in the future.
