I was worried. We seriously needed a place I was honest about all I had going on and what I could afford but also did not wanting to live in a dump just because I had not won the lottery yet. Scott was honest with me, ran some numbers and gave me two places to go see...I know what you're thinking...2 places!?? But I had none when I walked in. I wish that this dialog ended with us getting some extravagate and luxury home with all the bells whistles and upgrades but that NOT this story. BUT I will say Scott got us in touch with a place that was in a neighborhood I always wanted to live in, the space is what I call "cozy", it had some previous upgrades but more importantly it is clean, safe, and something I can afford. She was able to find properties that we would work for my family and in less than 24 hours we had found one that would work us and were able to get the process started to rent the apartment. Maintenance has come out and taken photos, but because there aren't always live bugs present at that exact moment (due to me constantly vacuuming and cleaning just to cope), my concerns are brushed off or minimized. It feels incredibly invalidating and honestly like I'm being gaslit. No one wants to repeatedly complain or live like this -- I just want a clean, safe space.
