I went to this school in it's old, OLD location back in 2014 and 2015 while waiting for my teaching job paperwork to go through. I can honestly say Alex is a FANTASTIC teacher who really just wants you to succeed. He works really hard to help you get all the tools and training you need. It's on you to practice and get better. during the time of my schooling, I had just learned Blackjack proficiently and decided to go for an audition at El Cortez. Unfortunately, they told me they were full on blackjack dealers, but they can REALLY use dice dealers. Alex worked with me and helped me get better at the math and practicing with units. He gave me chips to practice my cutting and told me to come back whenever I want as often as I want but practicing at home too would be crucial for faster success. He was very honest saying it takes about 6 weeks to be proficient in craps and I appreciated his honesty and directness. I kept practicing, but my 5th week in my teaching job opened up and I took that job. Alex has ALWAYS invited me back to finish up the package I paid for even though I declined. He really wanted me to continue to have something to fall back on and invited me back on numerous occasions to finish training. I firmly believe he is THE BEST ISNTRUCTOR in Vegas and really just wants to see people succeed and get better. Even at this location 7 years ago, the other students also learning were sharing horror stories of other school not helping, not coaching, and pairing you up with other trainees that didn't know what they were doing. I never EVER felt this at CEG, I always had personal coaching every minute I was there from him or another professional, and everyone there would go out of their way to help you succeed. This school is really good and for those looking into going here I would suggest getting into the stations program that way you can get paid to go here and you can save some money. Blackjack is really good only thing is there's this older lady named Becky she's nice but there's been times where she gets impatient with student and can give you attitude. I would suggest my man Reno he's the best in teaching blackjack he's helped me a lot to succeed. I enrolled here after after several weeks of being freshly relocated into Las Vegas when they were still located on Flamingo & Decatur. I checked online, called and went in originally to see where I could get the fairest prices as any logical person on a budget would. When I finally made it in after putting if off for so long I was welcomed in & briefed on what their classes and how they operate. The other students learning alongside you, the mentors, the Atmosphere. That's what sold me. Alex, Lisa & David are among some of the most patient and genuine people I've met since moving here. I know for a fact because I'm still one of these annoying students lol and honestly I don't know how they put up with me, but they do. I honestly think CEG has a great price for what I got. I purchased the package for all the games and got a great deal! I'm able to come and practice freely for 1 entire year. For an entire year, I'm able to come whenever I want and practice and ask unlimited questions. I know that Craps requires a lot of time, instructions, and practice and I have an entire year to improve my skills because of this school. I feel that CEG was the greatest choice because they have great instructors and a fun environment. I just came from California so I don't have much friends here in Vegas, but CEG has provided me a fun, social environment, not just for learning, but to meet great people and make connections. At any time, you can ask for an "audition" at the school and the instructor will see how a person is doing. They will point out what parts to improve and how they are doing. The Best Dealer School in Town. I can't do this school justice with a simple review. I attended this school for six months, 3 of which were the end of covid. 10 years ago I'd taken a casino gaming class at UNLV so I had some idea of what I was in for. CEG's course instruction was leagues above UNLV. The first thing that stood out to me was the pragmatism. Every instructor would tell you that they are giving you the foundation to work off of but every casino is a bit different so be prepared to adapt. They even had a rule that students deal as they instruct but any student employed with a casino before completion of their schooling should practice the way their casino instructs them. The schedule is very flexable. Show up when you want, leave when you want. You really get what you put in. CEG is not just about teaching the game but they're also about preparing you for work in the industry. Every student I attended with got a job dealing with a casino before they completed their full course work. I went the full six months and picked up a job at a northern strip property thanks to CEG. I have many amazing compliments to share regarding my experience at CEG. My experience started with a great conversation with "The dice master " David. I had asked what sets CEG apart from other dealer schools , David did not flinch in telling me that CEG stands alone when it comes to facilities and instructors that provide world class casino education. This school is special. I was one of the people initially reading the reviews of this school (as well as other schools) and thinking to myself that it sounds a bit to good to be true to have this many five star reviews. I was seeking a career change after trying and having many different jobs and my gut told me this was the school to focus on and see if it would be the right path to take. Since making that first call to CEG and speaking with Alex all the way to passing my first audition, I always felt I was in good hands and not once felt let down by any one at the school. Any type of schooling has always been intimidating to me considering I have some learning disabilities and in some areas may not pick things up as fast as others. This was one of the concerns I brought up before committing and got the chance to talk with Alex, Lisa and some of the other teachers there who helped ease my anxiety and assured me that they can still help me and get me to the finish line and beyond. They never let me down and have this incredible ability to always give their all to me and everyone else there. It's phenomenal and refreshing. I had reviewed this place positively when I was an active student here. Don't get me wrong, I still think this is probably the best dealer school in Vegas. For cheap, you can get a good job. Alex is connected and the business model is sound. However, things happened after my review that shook my confidence in the school. Lisa, one of the kindest, coolest teachers there who I felt I connected with abruptly left. I tried asking David what happened, and he wouldn't give me a real answer, and told me to ask her why she quit. I said sure, give me her number, to which he just laughed. But I want joking, and it was super, super weird that they wouldn't give us students a proper explanation. The teachers there were awesome. Becky was amazing and knowledgeable. Even David was great. Towards the end of my time there, I felt Alex was getting more and more rude. One time, I had a question for him about a game matter. He stopped, loudly sighed, and asked if the question was personal or if it was about the game. Uhhh, excuse me? Are you really that busy that I can't talk to you? I no longer felt safe there nor welcome, so I stopped going even though I had paid for games I never fully learned. Before I decided to change career paths, I was a bit nervous and unsure of how easy it would be to adjust and to learn new skills. After meeting with Alex and experiencing my first few days at CEG, my fears completely disappeared and I knew I had made a wonderful decision that would change my life. So both my parents worked in the casino business (dad working at Mirage, mom working at MGM grand) and actually they've been in this business for their entire life. As I was exploring my career options (and also let's not ignore the fact I live in Las Vegas), I was interested in following their footsteps. I checked out multiple schools and ultimately decided to run with CEG. This place was really flexible with my hours. I mean I had a job while I was going to school here - there's gotta be income coming in somewhere! And on top of that, everyone including Alex, who I believe owns the business, was very welcoming and super down-to-earth. I'm pretty young and felt like at other places I was judged for being such a young person looking to get in the gaming biz, so that's another huge plus for CEG. I felt like I learned so much in such a short time and that I was learning from people who really knew what they were doing. The training itself was by no means easy, either. In order to learn, I had to really commit to going to classes and apply myself. I honestly didn't pick things up that easily, but Alex and his teachers were very upfront to me when I was dealing incorrectly and they would provide constructive criticism on what exactly to do, how to fix my techniques, etc. On top of training, this school will help you get a job. So they don't just train you, they prep you, they help you apply and then they prepare you for the interviews! This is a great place to start learning table games. The owner -Alex is an awesome guy, really down to earth and he's not afraid to tell it like it is. Any question or example you may have he always has a real world scenario to answer it with. Which is great for job interviews- but if you don't know how to deal the game (which you won't if you go here) that does you no good. Cons: -Not nearly enough teachers -Unfriendly staff -Incompetent staff/ teachers -No consistency across the board as far as dealing games -Not following covid guidelines -expensive for a school where you teach yourself -students teaching other students (when they don't even know the game themselves) -they don't sanitize equipment -taking school equipment to fulfill their secondary business, leaving students without things necessary to learn (like taking 2 of the 3 roulette wheels and leaving the 15 students taking roulette- with 1 wheel to share) If you have money to blow- go for it. But if you actually want to learn and be successful in this field- pick a different school. I did however ask the director to please have a teacher present at the roulette table while I was learning, because there was no roulette teacher. He hit me with a "you didn't even pay for this school " And then claimed he never said that. **If anyone cares to read the previous reviews, someone else stated that the director is only money hungry, and his new favorite phrase was " it doesn't matter, we already have their money ". ** Hard to dispute that... Good to hear you got more staff, considering I spent 12 hours, or three days, on baccarat without a single teacher. because of that, I went to a different school, and spent two hours on the game, and learned that there's a special shuffle. Sad to think I spent 12 hours on a game not knowing the basics. That wouldn't of happened if there were a teacher.... There will Never be a teacher there that can give 1-1 help. Upon deciding to make a huge career change I called multiple programs and ended up speaking with the founder/owner of this program who spent over 20 minutes answering my questions in regard to the program and beyond. And to his credit every single thing he told me the school can do and help provide was 100% correct. This program is designed to work around the varied schedules of its students and allows you to come for as much (or little) time as you choose to give. The trade off is that any given time of day there are always instructors more than happy to help with any of the gaming lessons provided. While I am still in the program in less than 8 weeks I learned 2 table games, a carnival game, and landed my first job dealing on the strip. For any person willing to put in the time and effort this program is a strong win with a track record to prove it. read more

Hmm? Where do I start? First off, if you're looking for a school I'd definitely recommend this place! Why? It's super laid back but still professional, now that doesn't mean that you can do whatever you please. Basically you get what you give, and the teachers are 100% supportive of you no matter what your schedule. They have several table games here: baccarat, roulette, pai gow poker, 21 (black jack), dice (craps). Personally I'm in the process of mastering black jack, craps, and roulette. Everyone there is super nice and once the teachers feel you're good and ready, that's when the magic happens! They will help you find a job at the small casinos in town for a while, but as soon as you're getting a good amount of experience they'll send you all over Vegas! That's pretty dope in my honest opinion. Alex the owner, he's the one who taught me blackjack, and now at first I thought I had everything down seeing as black jack is just counting, but as I got further and further along, everything was getting harder and harder, I thought it'd be easy. But Alex shows us easier and more efficient ways of dealing 21. That course was actually a lot of fun haha! I believe her name is Alyssa, she's currently my craps teacher! She goes step by step from the place bets, come bets, true odds and place odds. She makes everything easier to understand and has a hilarious sense of humor! Both teachers know how to play all the games though, seeing how both of them have experience in the field for quite a while. In a widely competitive gaming industry city of Las Vegas, there are always a myriad of dealer schools in the vicinity fighting for turf and business. After carefully narrowing down my choice for the school to enroll in late last month, here are the reasons why I chose CEG Dealer School over the others: 1) Quality of instruction. The owner Alex Kim comes down to your level no matter what your previous background or knowledge is on the game for instruction. He ensures you understand all the basics of game dealing and takes you step by step before moving on to the next stage. He also invites other former students who are mostly current dealers to come in to the school and help out in tutoring other students. 2) Very low student-to-teacher ratio. At the time when I was researching dealer schools in the area, I was a bit turned off when I found a school (not CEG) vast amounts of students standing around waiting to play or learn to deal which seemed awkward and like a waste of time. You definitely don't get that at CEG Dealer School, and Alex will make sure you get hands-on with the game(s) you have signed up to learn to deal. 3) Schedule flexibility. The school is open every day until 8PM during the week, and also open on most weekends including Sundays. Very accommodating especially for those who have present jobs and/or other daily priorities. All the students and instructors are very friendly and easy-going with each other. As a student, you are free to come in or leave anytime you want although (and it's common sense) a simple phone call or text message would be much appreciated in times of emergency or long absence. As mentioned above, I enrolled in CEG Dealer School late February and came into class pretty much every day it's open to learn and practice for 4-5 hours each day. Despite having no previous dealing experience, I was able to properly learn to deal in the 3 games I selected (blackjack, roulette, specialty games) in less than a month. Alex assisted me in landing interviews and auditions at a handful of local casinos. I am now offered a position in my last audition at a casino very close to my place which I will be moving forward with. I came in this school 3 months ago (i heard for them from my coworker and i am glad i went there). I sign up for craps lessons. Alex ( the owner) is really friendly and nice. Except him there are 5-6 teachers. We have couple teachers on craps who are always with us. Always keep eyes on us if we make some mistakes. All teachers are serious about what they do and if you really want to learn more this is perfect school for you. Everything is clean and organize. I choose this school because atmosphere is nice and everybody respect eachothers (teachers and students). Nobody make fun of nobody and in the same time we have fun. And i forget to mentioned you can always come back. I took a month off from school and i came back and i just continued where i stop. I've checked out other dealer schools before deciding to go to CEG. The moment I walked in, I felt at ease and welcomed by the owner, Alex. He was very down to earth and also upfront about what to expect, and basically let me know if I put the time and effort in learning the ropes, that I would be able to be a dealer of my choosing. I appreciated that he didn't talk to me like a salesman, but more what is the best benefit I will get from this school. I got a chance to peruse the other instructors during my visit, and they are real hands -on training and give you as much real-life situations that occur on the casino floor so you are prepared to handle it professionally. You're not being lectured, but they work with you especially on your weaknesses and help strengthen your craft. Lisa, the craps instructor, has the most effective and lasting way of teaching us craps. I've never played craps before and I found it quite intimidating, but the way she taught us, not only did she break it down in pieces for our minds to absorb correctly, her methods are so pristine. The other instructors I got to spend time with were Robert and Cynthia, and they were also great in their teaching methods. This dealer school is not just a one-way method of learning, they provide you numerous ways to learn and master your craft. I'm absolutely glad I went through this school. Best dealer school in vegas. I definitely recommend CEG to start to learn games. The owner ,Alex he is very helpful and he always tries to help you learn and improve your skill.
