Asked them to give me a quote. They came by, got the details, and told me it would be a week to get a quote. I had my other contractor hold off (although we had really liked his quote, we wanted to see what Ceja would quote) while we waited for this quote. Two weeks of waiting, and we never got a quote. We ended up going with our other contractor. At least he was responsive and timely. We STILL have not gotten a quote. And it has been a month. I have stopped waiting. If they are this bad BEFORE getting my money, I cannot even imagine how they would be AFTER getting my money. Absolutely DO NOT recommend this business. read more

I have never seen such a group of hard-working people. Ceja is much more than a group of construction workers, they are artists, and they are very conscientious about their work. I needed some wooden ceiling replaced, holes patched, house painted, cement repaired and sealed, among other smaller jobs around the house. I got three bids, and Ceja--believe it or not--came in the lowest bid. They did everything I asked for, as opposed to other companies that tried to talk me out of doing the difficult repair job of replacing part of a vaulted wooden ceiling. They quickly sent me an estimate. I signed the contract on Friday, and by Monday a swarm of workers descended on my house. They arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves, and worked through 100-plus weather. They used the best materials, and the workers treated my house with loving care, as if they were repairing their own. They went through the work with a fine-tooth comb, and did multiple inspections to make sure I was satisfied. And I can tell you I am definitely satisfied. Ceja does excellent work. They were in constant communication with me. Their accounting division was very professional. Special thanks to Roman Ceja, the general contractor; Oscar, the electrician; and Victor, the painter. Ceja is licensed, bonded, and got a passing mark from the Better Business Bureau. I wholeheartedly recommend using this company. I had Ceja's re-face my kitchen cabinets from a dark wood to a light rustic cream color. The cabinets came out GREAT. I also had them replace the counter tops, sink, and add more cabinets to one section of the kitchen. The whole project came together great and the price was very fair. I am so happy with my kitchen renovation! Right after Thanksgiving, Ceja Construction painted my ugly oak cabinets, changed my countertops, and put up a new back splash. Roman, Daniela, and his crew were so easy to work with. I got a quote, Daniela sent me places to chose my supplies, I sent her pictures of what I chose, Roman went out to get them, and our kitchen reno was in it's way! I changed my mind on the backsplash after Romam drove all the way to a Stockton Home Depot to get it, and when I saw it against my granite countertops, I did not like it. Roman was so nice, he said it was okay, he would just return it, and to go back out and find something I really liked! I felt so bad. But he said I should get something I would be pleased with. The guys came every day for 2 weeks. They were very friendly and considerate. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. And Roman came by almost every day to check on the progress. Daniela, my project manager was awesome! She would call or text me every afternoon or morning to let me know what time everyone was coming and what they were going to do. Unfortunately, the guy who came out from this company did not do the greatest job on our tile. It was less than a 30 square foot area and they charged us $300! Cuts were not angled correctly as you can see in the pictures. Not one insert was done well. For as much as we paid for such a small area I expected more. Will not use this company again. read more

Ceja painted out my dark kitchen cabinets in white, and did a complete master bath remodel. The kitchen is totally transformed. Their guys painted out the cabinets in about 3 days, start to finish, and they look great. Work in the bathroom included a new countertop, sinks, tub, some flooring patchwork, all new fixtures, new shower tile and doors, a LOT of wall tile, and paint. Start to finish, it took about 4 weeks, but it was 90% complete about 2 1/2 weeks in, we just were on hold for the shower doors. Now it looks like a spa! Ceja was great to work with, so hardworking, responsive when we called with an issue, and were very friendly. Also, their prices are very reasonable. I plan to redo my guest baths with them in the future. read more

Their customer service is good and they are keen on follow ups. I requested a quote from them which they provided free of course. Now bear in mind I had 4 contractors bid around ball park of 3 k but to my astonishment their quote for same job was over 6k. I guess they install gold instead of wood on your house. They need to to change the person doing estimates as they don't know what they are doing and throwing numbers out there. I seriously now question their business ethics .. read more

Ceja Construction just completed a master bathroom remodel for our primary residence and did an excellent job. Based on the quotes we received from several contractors, Ceja's was reasonably priced and the bid was well detailed so we knew exactly what we were getting for the itemized quotes. We had custom tile work done for the new shower and bathtub, frameless glass shower enclosure, and new tub. The crew was punctual and professional- they took time to prep and protect areas during demolition to minimize dust and debris getting everywhere in other parts of our home. The workmanship was good quality. Whenever we pointed anything out (a change or minor fix) Roman the owner was receptive, responsive, and accommodating. Over all we were pleased with Ceja Construction and would use them again for other remodel projects. As others have noted, the front office staff provided exceptional customer service, calling and/or texting each day to let us know what work was being done and which workers were going to be onsite each day. Rescheduled pretty much whenever I wanted even though it was my fault for cancelling. I think they do everything. They have fixed my garage, windows, sprinklers and electrical. We just completed our first major remodeling project with Ceja Construction. It took us a while to find a contractor that was willing to take on our project. Once I told the other contractors that we wanted to strip out everything, install brand new cabinets, change the island to a single level, use granite instead of quartz and add an additional oven in a new location...most of them never came back. Roman was easy to work with and provided a competitive bid for the job. They managed all permit requirements. Once we got started we quickly realized that since the entire interior of the house was wrapped in plastic we should use the left over granite to update the bathroom as well. Our kitchen remodel turned into a kitchen, 2 bath, living room and family room remodel. The workers were skilled, professional and most of them work directly for Roman. We were very flexible with our time. If they were ready to work we made adjustments to accommodate them. Unlike other contractors that work one day and disappear for three, Roman's employees were here every weekday starting at 7am and leaving at 3pm. Communications with Roman was very easy. Any concerns that I brought to his attention were addressed. Everything was completed in one month and we are very happy with the results. Ceja replaced 3 tiled in bathroom sinks with drop ins. Carlos did an excellent job on the install but I was especially impressed with Roman's thoroughness in the estimate process. He even came back to double check the measurements after 1 sink was removed to ensure the best possible fit before purchasing the new sinks. I had 2 other companies come out who quickly gave me estimates. While the prices were fairly comparable I felt I would get the better job with Ceja and I believe I did. read more
