Came on a Friday and thank goodness we came earlier than we planned. The restaurant was not busy at all but the service was SOOO SLOW! We had to be somewhere at 6:30 and after waiting for our food for almost 40 minutes we told them if it wasn't coming soon we needed to cancel cause we had somewhere to be at 6:30. We got our food at 6:10 and literally had to inhale it and we were still late to where we needed to be. The food wasn't great but wasn't terrible. The waitress apologized about the wait and said the kitchen is behind because they don't read the tickets so the waiters and waitresses have to go back there and yell to get the orders going. Really strange. We were there almost ah hour and a half. Super disappointed. read more

Chips and salsa delicious! Quac is yum! Service??? Not so much! You walk in and all staff is on their phones. You can be the only table there and you have to ask for refills etc. Not sure if they have anyone in charge?! The food is good...I recommend that for sure. Service...is very disappointing. read more

Listen.... the place is amazing! Amazing patio atmosphere. As a picky margarita drinker, I am very impressed with how fresh their mix is. I ordered a regular margarita on the rocks because I wanted a big gulp and the skinny margarita typically doesn't come in a large. So, I literally had to ask if my giant margarita was made with fresh squeezed mix, and y'all, it freaking was!! Basically a high dollar margarita for a low cost. This is my third trip here, super consistent, same margarita, and the food and fajitas are so delicious! Worth the drive. And thanks to the new 249 toll road, easy to get to!! Interesting place to eat at, kinda out of the way and somewhat a challenge to get to but the food and service is well worth the effort. 1st time to eat here and it surely won't be the last! Staff started out a bit slow to get our order going and provide drinks, but the definitely made up for it as the meal progressed. Brought their rating up from a 1 star to a 4 star. Held back 1 star because of the wait (place wasn't busy) maybe next time they'll go the distance in the service program. Recently moved to Magnolia and quickly tried most of the local Mexican restaurants. Finally, after passing by it 1000 times, I stopped in and dined. It was an impromptu decision to eat here on a Friday night and I was kind of skeptical in case of a wait. Thankfully, they have tons of seating outdoors and we didn't have to wait at all. Our waitress was great. Very knowledgable and accomodating. Service was quick. Immediately after sitting down, we received our chips/salsa and drinks after. I didn't get a margarita this time around, but she did inform us they have one of the best. read more

I ordered the Chicken Flauta dinner. It came with rice, refried beans, guac, queso, and sour cream. The flautas tasted like dog food. Not sure how you can mess up fried taquitos. The queso was decent so I stuck with that. The frozen house margarita was decent but if you plan on ordering one on the rocks, they are all pre-made in a 5 gallon mold holder. I'll give it another shot and try something that couldn't possibly be frozen. read more

My family and I were headed to a friends house and found this Jem! We had the Fajitas ala Diabla and if you like Spicy you'll love this. Delicious flavor!! We also tried the House Frozen Margarita and it might be one of the best around in Houston. A must try. read more

I waited a bit to write a review to see how the service went. It had moved its way up in our favorite Mexican Friday stops but recent experience has moved it off. The food is flavorful and the drinks nice. The staff has improved with time but can be very inconsistent. They are attentive and usually on top of everything and other times you have to ask for refills of drinks and chips. Because they are new and located between Tomball and Magnolia, they are not as busy as some of the others. It doesn't have the hectic feel that you get at the busy local ones because of the need to service quicker. read more

What a meal!!!! The ownership has changed and is now called La Casa Agave. By far, the best Mexican food I have ever had! What they call beef is actually tender perfectly seasoned steak- something you'd actually buy from a steak house. The chunky guacamole is a perfect blend of avacado and pico. We had the cheese dip, which had no taste, just melted cheese. Then we ordered 2 pina coladas, so bad we couldn't drink them. Service was the slowest I have ever experienced anywhere!!!!! Since I moved to magnolia I have seen this place as at least three different restaurants. Finally went on Friday night because every other Mexican restaurant in Magnolia was packed. Not many cars in parking lot as I arrived with my wife. The menu had an error on it. I pointed it out they did not seem to care. The fajita burrito is listed in the description as either having ground beef or charbroiled chicken. No mention of fajita beef in the description even though that is the title of the item. Chips arrived at the table. First one out of the basket was a red one. I had an incredibly stale texture. I had to shoot out most of it because I found it very hard to chew. When I placed a large chunk of it in the palm of my hand and pressed on it, it did not break. I checked other cops and found they seemed fine. I decided to avoid all the red chips. About 5 yellow chips in I hit a very stale yellow chip. Disappointment. Now I started to break every chip with my fingers before taking a bitte to make sure it was chewable. I did not mention this to ther staff as they would have just brought me more stale chips. I ordered the Homiberto burrito with beef fajita and hold the lettuce. My wife ordered the chalupas. My wife's order came without any major issues except the chalupa shells were incredibly fragile so she really just ended up with a taco salad. My burrito came with lettuce on it. I took a couple of bites out of it then let ther waitstaff know the issue when they came and checked on us. They replace the burrito and have me a complimentary plate of refried beans to eddy with the chips while I waited. I did not have to wait too long. The new burrito came out made just right. The restuarant was clean. The waitstaff was very polite and especially after having to correct my order they were very attentive. I would suggest an attentiveness to their stock to prevent the stale chips, check the menu for errors, and quality check orders before taking them to the diner. read more

This was the worst place I have ever eaten. We had a birthday party there and called days ahead to have tables ready. When we got there they argued about how many tables we could put together. They brought out chips and dip one time. They were stale. 45 minutes later they brought out our drinks and two menus for a party of 17. An hour and a half later we had our food. The kids soft tacos tasted like someone poured a while salt shaker onto the meat. My second glass of unsweetened tea was undrinkable. The mexican rice was awful. It was just gross and not a pleasant experience. We will never go back. read more

I wish I could give a 1/2 star, but they won't let me. We've been here twice before and had decent food and service. After our third visit on 5/11/2019, it will be our last. We were there for dinner, ordered our food and that's where things took a turn for the worst. Once our food came out, the chicken tenders (on the kids menu) appeared cooked; however, inside they were 100% raw. All three strips!! When we quickly alerted them, they didn't seem horrified by this; which is shocking to me. They just took it back and about 15-20 minutes later we had tenders that were cooked thoroughly. Did we get a "sorry" or a visit to the manager...no! Did we, at the very least, get that order comp'd.....no! We were instead "thanked" by being charged for the meal. VERY poor customer service. Our daughter could've been severely harmed had she actually consumed the raw chicken. NOT OKAY!!! To add insult to injury, the area where we were seated smelled like a dirty bathroom stall. I don't know if they had a septic issue or what, but it smelled horrible! Mexican restaurants are all over this area: take my advise and take your money somewhere else....not at this establishment!! read more

I have been to this restaurant twice and both times did not disappoint! Their grande gold margaritas are excellent, as well as the tasty salsas (green and red) that are brought to the table. The tortilla chips are also very delicious! From their fajitas Brought sizzling to the table with lots of condiments, to the yummy shredded chicken enchiladas with salsa Verde sauce to their quesadillas and flautas the meals did not disappoint!
