I DO NOT recommend this restaurant to ANYONE I paid 18 dollars for this California "burrito" it's not even authentic, they quite literally put American cheese in this burrito and the meat is salty. The tomato sauce that they gave me is basically just water with tomatoes in it, also the burrito looks and tastes like a gas station burrito, the only good thing from this restaurant was the chips. This was the WORST restaurant ever Food was terrible Service was the worst and the manager was disrespectful to food allergy concerns (basically gluten, allergies they mixed the flour tortillas with the corn tortillas in the same container) The server couldn't even even get the food out together for example we ordered fajitas for two that came with refried beans and a side of rice and the fixings and tortillas. Tell me why everything was out separately like at separate times with spans of 5 to 10 minutes between each item being brought out so by the time we were able to start eating, everything was cold. The only positive part was the lady serving the tortilla chips and salsa. She was awesome. read more

Prior to Covid, we eat here 3-4 times a month. Post Covid, we stop by maybe once every few months. The food, service and price used to be very good (pre-Covid). They've made major changes since Covid and the food is flat out bad and the pricing has gotten out of control. It's hard to make Mexican food bland, but they found a way. The flavor and quality went from 8-9 to maybe a 2 rating. The restaurant went from being full every night to maybe 5-6 customers. I realize Covid hurt a lot of restaurants, but you don't mess with what made you strong by cutting corners with favor/quality and jacking up the price. Sure, a few extra bucks is fine but you must maintain good quality food. The service can be very spotty. I've seen 6-7 servers standing around talking while cups are empty and people waving their arms for service. And the manager/owner is very rude. We gave it a try again last night to see if anything has changed. Nope. That will be our last visit. read more

First time eating at this restaurant. Had been recommended to us by friends. Very clean, even the restrooms. My husband ordered the carne guisada with beans and rice, served with flour tortillas. The carne guisada was very watery. Not much flavor in the meat, beans or rice. I ordered the Enchiladas Al Carbon with beans and rice. I had 1 beef, 1 chicken. No flavor whatsoever. Made the enchiladas with flour tortillas so they became soggy and not edible. Had the non sweet ice teas. Tasty, but when I got a refill the server did not add any ice. Yea was lukewarm. Yuk. Hot sauce, not hot. Will not go back, too many other good Mexican good closer to our home. read more

The service was great and everybody helpful and friendly! However, beyond the chips & refried beans, we couldn't find anything good to say about the food. The red & green salsas that were served with the chips were both lacking of taste and watered down. The fajita beef & chicken were VERY dry & lacking of seasoning. Also the meat had an "old" taste about it. The vegetables were burned and that burnt taste took over the plate. I love to come here they make the best margarita's in the area and you can set outside. The food is average don't care for the salsa but family likes it. The reason for this poor review is due to the fact four of us were setting outside trying to have an adult conversations there was another family outside also with several children. The children were allowed to run around and scream and hollering not fast walking but running and banging on the chairs. The waitress or servers did nothing to get them under control or talk to the parents. My friend and myself even asked them to stop. Which they didn't. Horrible Mexican food! No flavor. Both salsas were bland. Shrimp was over cooked and chewy. The rice was ok, good enough to eat with the shrimp to cover up the chewiness. Guacamole was ok, not bad but had to add salt, pepper and grilled jalapeño to it. Would not recommend going, then again you're in the middle of nowhere with not a lot of options. read more

Let me say the food needs some improvement and as we looked around the room most tables had alcohol so maybe that's what helps offset the weird flavoring. The QUESO had such a cheap imitation taste and I ordered the sample plate and beef enchilada and taco had funky weird meat didn't look like taco meat. The servers and how fast we were seated was wonderful as they were pretty busy and we went on Friday night. The place seems fairly new and was clean and had standard decor. Definitely the best value in the area from what I have experienced. The margaritas in particular are better than all the other mexican restaurants in the tomball/magnolia area. I always get the texas fajitas with chicken and it is the only restaurant where I will get chicken fajitas because they are just so good. Despite other reviews, I have never experienced poor service and anytime my family comes we are warmly welcomed and seated promptly. Join the rewards program. They text me coupons for free queso all the time. If you leave room after dinner, the sopapillas are amazing. The food is standard Tex Mex. Love the owners and love the tacos from the old location around corner. Service is off charts and they are all so friendly. Tonight my husband had the Texas burrito with fajita meat and it was SO good. I'll get that next time. I had a shrimp taco that was unique and good along with a shrimp enchilada I wasn't so thrilled with but I'm really particular with my shrimp enchiladas. Recommendations to owners = add queso blanco to menu. They have queso just not queso blanco. As for ambience. Tv's are great and we love the new bar area!!! We've been coming here for years and recommend this place to many, many people. When we come here as a couple, we usually order the stuffed avocados. My wife gets three cups of the salsa, which she loves (and the reason we come here) and they've graciously served. But this time was different. When I asked for three cups of sauce, the waiter brought me one. So, thinking it was a misunderstanding, I asked for two more. He left and the manager returned to rudely tell us that he'll have to charge to keep us from eating just chips and salsa. His approach was so offensive that, regardless of the salsa that my wife loves, we will never return. We didn't even finish our basket of chips. To top it off, when we told him we will not return, he shrugged as if he could care less. Over cheap SALSA! Smh. I want to add a little tip. Basic Management 101 is to apologize for mistakenly accusing your guest of just eating chips and salsa. We didn't even eat half of the chips and didn't request any more. We just wanted to have some salsa for our meal. A simple apology would have been proper and saved a customer who has 9 children and has been visiting for years. We spend too much money there to be treated like a salsa thief. Being that there are Mexican restaurants on every corner, we won't be lacking on finding a decent place that when they offer complimentary chips and salsa, they won't treat you poorly.
