The last two restaurants here came across as more "fronts for another business" so to be honest, I thought this was just another one of those when I first saw the new signage out front. But recently when I noticed the "2" in the name, I decided to look up the original location, and was really excited to see that it had awesome reviews. I quickly pivoted my mindset and prioritized visiting ASAP. As it turns out, it really hit the spot for me. We came around 10-1030am, so we ordered a mix of breakfast and lunch items. We ordered several tacos and a beef fajita quesadilla too, which was my favorite thing. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the chorizo and potato taco because I felt like the potatoes had kind of a weird flavor to them. And the beef fajita meat on the taco were definitely a bit burned, but still enjoyable - it was kind of like smashburger meat, if you're into that kinda thing. I finished off with a flan, which was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, these tacos are fairly basic, but hit the spot for me and I look forward to coming back to try more of the menu.

I'd wanted to try La Cocina for a while for that reason and those plans finally came to fruition. You walk up to a counter that has all the ingredients for taco making right in front of you. The guy asks you how many you are going to want, and if you want flour or corn, so he can let them know in the back to make your tortillas fresh. About 2 minutes later, out came our tortillas. I ordered 3: one with eggs and bacon, one with some kind of egg and sausage combo and one non-breakfast taco with fajita meat. The fajita taco was just okay, but the breakfast tacos had me thinking about them for hours after the fact. They aren't very big, so if you're a growing boy like me, I'd aim for 4-5 of them. The guy behind the counter tried to guide us into his suggestion of 2 each, but I jumped in and said make it 3 for me. If I could go back in time, I would have done 4 and made them all the breakfast variety. Both breakfast tacos were straight bangers from another dimension.
