We decided to stop for an early lunch after our drive here from Houston and honestly we should have kept driving. Here comes the Good, the Bad and the Ugly: The Good: the drinks were really good and pretty strong! The bartender does a heavy pour! The Bad and The Ugly together: The food was not very good didn't have much flavor at all. The Salsa was VERY good though and is served warm. The portions are comparatively small. Service was VERY slow especially considering the place was basically empty on a Sunday afternoon. The thing that really got me was the fact that my meal, as well as all of the other "combo meals" did NOT come with rice and beans and had to be ordered separate! At the prices they are charging $13.59 for my #1 combo, they should already be coming with it! The restaurant itself was beautiful, with a large area on one side for banquets and private parties and an enormous parking lot. But we didn't go for the ambience or the parking, so just based on the food, pricing and service, I in all honesty can not recommend this place. read more

When this place first opened, the food quality seemed to be much higher than it is now. It was meant to be a more elevated Mexican restaurant that wasn't your typical low quality one thrown down on every street every couple of miles, but now, the taste is rather similar. The salsa and queso kind of tastes bagged and reheated, but my fish tacos were actually pretty good and I enjoyed the sauce on them even if the tortillas were a bit cold. The service here has always been phenomenal and extremely friendly. I don't think I'll ever have a negative thing to say about the staff they employ. Highly attentive, very informative, and just all around really nice people. The outdoor seating is gorgeous and I love that they make it feel warm and inviting despite being right off of a major and busy road like 105. This place was obviously decorated and designed by someone who put a lot of thought into it. I'd come here again for sure but it is sad seeing how the food quality has dropped a bit in the years since I had been here last. read more

What sets it apart is the classic feel (long time staff, weekly events, community ambience, affordable pricing, happy hour) paired with creative & well executed menu. Patio is top notch! What's not to like about this place. Food was a step above anywhere else I've tried in my 2 years here. Service was as good as it gets and the atmosphere was great. The mixed fajitas were really good and just the right amount of seasonings. The rice, refried beans, pico de gallo, guacamole were all fresh and complimented the fajitas nicely. The salsa and chips were also very good but use caution if you don't like spicy, to me it was perfect but my wife said a little dab will do you. She had the chicken taco salad and she said the chicken was the best seasoned she's had. I'd 100% recommend this place. The sweet tea was overly sweet which was fine for me. read more

The first day we moved into our new house we had water, electricity and we had all our boxes of stuff but no food in the fridge. We had noticed a Mexican restaurant nearby and thought we would give it a try. Everyone I know who had moved to Texas said that there is no good Mexican food here, so we figured to find out. Now I don't really know exactly what Tex Mex is, but Hacienda Mis Padres had absolutely delicious food! We came in on a weeknight about 8 pm and were still greeted with smiles and courtesy. We ordered a couple of beers to have with the delicious chips with red and green salsa while we looked over the menu. We settled on the Fajita Fiesta for two. Beef and chicken Fajitas served over gilled onions, guacamole, pico de gallo and homemade tortillas. All I can say is WOW! This is one of the absolute best meals I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant! The flavor. The freshness. Much different than Mexican restaurants in Kalifornia! So much better! The meal was filling, and we now had some food in our fridge as we could not eat the whole meal and had to bring some of it home. The service was equally fantastic and we knew we had found a great place we would return to. Now to follow up on this review. We did return as our daughter, her husband and his parents came out to house hunt. We told them about this place, stopped in and ordered six different meals that we all shared and everyone had the same feeling as we did. WOW! Great food! The food was okay. A big dislike was that the prices of their alcohol drinks were not displayed on the drink menu, and I mean nowhere. While dining with friends, it would sound odd asking how much each drink costs. Would a restaurant put a menu out without any prices? It would be easy to put drink prices on the menu so we would know how much we will be paying for the premium drinks. The coconut margarita had so little alcohol in it, it was very disappointing. I have eaten here a few times before. The food is good. What is aggravating is that they have an extensive adult drink menu, but there's not a single price on that menu. The prices are on the food menu for the food, but not on the drink menu for drinks. So I asked our waiter first what are the happy hour drink specials. It's not written anywhere on the menu. He didn't know, but went and found out. My guess is that he didn't fully inquire, because he related it was only the mango Margarita. Maybe that was it though. Then the server didn't know the prices of what the many margaritas were. He called over the manager at our request and she listed each one, one being $16.99. for the one that we wanted. My husband previously months ago told the manager that the prices should be on the menu. Crickets. read more

We've been looking for good Mexican food in the Houston area and are still on the hunt. We tried this restaurant recently and loved the salsa and the chunky guacamole appetizer, but the tostada combination lunch did not have good flavor at all- the meat was tough and oddly tasted a little fishy. The poblano pepper entree wasn't good either (we left the pepper on the plate as it tasted "off" and didn't want to take a chance of it being rotten). Unfortunately we ended up leaving with much of our food still on the plate and fed our kids when we got home. We may have just been there on an off day, but spending $80 on a sub-par lunch was enough to make us not return. read more

I fully expected them to have closed the kitchen but they welcomed us in. We ordered drinks and my beer rita was extremely tasty! My nachos had the softest melt in your mouth beef and my hubby enjoyed his enchiladas as well. We weren't rushed and Jose was attentive and warm throughout our dinner. Excellent experience at Hacienda Mis Padres. Had a late lunch Easter Sunday. Was not crowded as we had hope to miss the crowd. But we also chose a time after lunch. Food was excellent. 2 of our party of four had the bacon wrapped shrimp. Cooked just right and delicious. Charro beans, rice, avocado on the side, lettuce, tomato, flour tortillas. You can choose corn. Husband had a huge salad. I think it is called Tampico. With chicken. And another had enchiladas with Verde sauce. Chips and salsa. We requested salsa Verde. But instead or rather in this restaurant they serve a sauce creamy Cilantro maybe avocado. Whatever it is it is delicious. Server was excellent. Very nice. Was very attentive. We sat in a booth. Restaurant is very nice. One thing difficult. I am hearing impaired. But also noise carries in the restaurant. The restaurant and all that is happening, It Is Very Loud. Menu. This is a great place to grab a meal if you like Tex-Mex! It's on the east side of 105 just past 3083. It has a large parking lot so it's pretty easy to find a place to park. One reason I like it here besides it is close to home is the service is really good and for the most part pretty fast. Almost every time we come. We are seated almost immediately. The first thing they bring your course is the chips and salsa. If you want green sauce, you'll have to ask for it but it's worth it. The red sauce is also very good. I would recommend the queso Blanco, and it comes with some pickled jalapeños and carrots. I always order their Fajitas Poblanos, which comes with strips of poblano peppers and grilled onions, pieces of bacon and mushrooms, covered in some cheese. There's a side of rice and Charro beans, and a side of guacamole and pico de gallo, as well as your pick up or corn or flour tortillas. My two boys like their orders of the fajita nachos and quesadillas. The wife usually orders beef enchiladas. This is our go to in Conroe and we don't want to drive anywhere too far especially because of the traffic in the Woodlands. So if you're in Conroe, they recommend you make your way over here. read more

I had a $20 off $25 code from Uber Eats, and Hacienda Mis Padres was a choice with a quick delivery, so I gave it a try. We ordered some Fajita Steak Tacos, and an order of Chicken Enchiladas Mole. The food arrived on time. The main dishes were packaged in aluminum catering containers. The good news, is that it protected the order well. The downside is that those metal containers don't keep food hot since all of the heat is conducted out, vs. staying in when using a Styrofoam container. The food was still somewhat warm, but not hot. The quality of the food was good. The steak fajita was reasonably tender, and was flavorful. My Enchiladas were very good. Nice flavor and textured chicken, and the Mole sauce was also very good. I ordered cilantro and onions on the side to use as a topping. The quality was good, but both were a large chopped size. The cilantro had large stems throughout. Bottom line, this place would earn a 4 star if the food was hot, and they would do a normal chop on the toppings. If I visited the restaurant vs. Uber Eats delivery, the temperature likely would not be an issue. I would have awarded 3.5 stars if that was an option. Maybe 4 stars if I had visited in person. Flavor was good, and the price was excellent with the Uber deal. I may try it again if I am in the area. read more

Went here for date night on Wednesday and LOVED it. Initially sat inside because they had booths but then got a glimpse of their patio area and it had a great set up with awesome lighting and a little fountain so quickly requested to move and finish up date night on the patio! We barley sat down before we we're served with chips and salsa, ordered White queso, quac, and margaritas. The margaritas were awesome and not to strong but a couple will absolutely leave you feeling good. We shared the chicken, beef, and, shrimp fajitas (with an extra order of shrimp) and they killed it. Our meal seemed like it literally took 30 minutes because everything was brought out quickly and our drinks were always full. The quality of food was 10/10. Will definitely be back read more

Went today for the second time in two years and quickly remembered why I'm Not a regular guest. To begin with the chips are straight out of a bag. The salsa isn't much better. I ordered Chile Rellano with beef fajita meat. It was only luke warm and had a weird tomato sauce like flavor, not Salsa, more like ketchup. I'm not a picky eater at all but I took two bites and that was it. Refried beans had a strange flavor as well. This is hands down the worst Mexican food I've ever attempted to Eat. The wait staff doesn't hover but they are standing in observation. I felt like a fish in a fish bowl. I also don't understand why they seat different groups of guests crowded all together in a large spacious restaurant instead of giving guests a bit of room. While leaving, a staff member standing near the exit wished us a farewell but never looked up from His phone. I'd rather he say nothing instead of a phony send off. In from Dallas and found this gem. We went early on a Wednesday and each couple had the fiesta fajita special. The chips were warm and just the right thickness, red salsa was warm and good, (not great) the salsa verde was outstanding! We got queso blanco which was smooth and tasty. The chicken was tender and flavorful and tortillas had just the right about of char. The only change I would make is to add more of the grilled onions with the chicken. Service was perfect, the waiters filled chips, salsa and drinks prior to us running out without us needing to even ask. I would definitely return over and over if I lived here. read more

The staff was friendly, but the food was terrible. I don't generally leave reviews, but there were six of us and none of us finished even a third of our food. Anyone who ordered anything with ground beef took the first bite and then stopped because it tasted very off. Shrimp tacos started okay, but soon followed with a chemical/plastic taste. We pass this restaurant all the time and always said we needed to try it. Living off of McCaleb, we tend to frequent those closer to us. After doing some shopping on Mother's Day, we decided to stop and I'm glad we did. The interior is spacious and open, staff is friendly and attentive, and the menu extensive. My jumbo frozen margarita, although a little more than I'm used to paying, was spot on. Chips and salsa were good but the food was fantastic. I cannot remember the last time I saw tostadas on the menu - there were two different ones, both divine, but I had to bring one home because they were so filling. I can't remember what my other half had but he raved about his meal also. The food is well-priced and nobody leaves hungry. I highly recommend Hacienda Mis Padres.
