She graciously answered our questions and served us water, as we made our tasting selections. Michael served some of our wines and shared lots of insightful information about the wines we had selected. After our tasting, we sat outside by the fire pit for a bit and enjoyed the view. We found them while looking for a welcome party venue, and while that didn't work out, we were so pleased that we could still work with them as a vendor! I have never met two of the loveliest people before in my entire life until recently. Heather and Mike, owners of Celebration Cellars, are truly a remarkable team. My friend/coworker and I traveled to Celebration Cellars recently for a nice Girls Day Out Celebration and from the moment we arrived, we were in for a special treat. Both Heather and Mike greeted us and made us feel so welcomed. First by assisting in setting up our tables and recommending how we set-up our food/snacks so that we could enjoy and also capture the great scenic views of the property. So personable right. We were both given wine tasting menus and made our selections after Heather and Mike provided an overview. Each wine we sampled was amazing and sometimes that's rare when visiting a winery. For each pouring both Mike and Heather had a story to share, and it just made you feel right at home. There are so many things that are incredibly awesome about Celebration Cellars. See below: -Heather and Mike (the dynamic duo and most personable individuals that I have ever met. We were so happy to have met them) -Location: The location and property are breathtaking. It makes you want to stay and enjoy a nice long weekend. -Pricing: The pricing for a wine tasting was incredible. The purchase of a bottle of wine was also great. No complaints! It doesn't get any better than the deals that they have. -Accommodations: One of my favorite things about this winery is the limited number of guests (approximately 30) that they will accommodate. Celebrations Cellars Winery is a must see place, hidden like a gem in an area that could easily be considered Fredrick County's version of Napa Valley. Not only is the wine selection vast, with a variety of dry, semi-sweet, and sweet wines encompassing reds and whites, but the winery itself has quite an exquisite appearance. Indoor and outdoor seating areas where anyone can enjoy a glass of perfected wine made from locally sourced grapes. The tasting room is spacious enough for large parties. Fantastic hospitality, scenery, and wine! I cannot say enough great things about our experience at Celebration Cellars. We had the most enjoyable visit in mid-November. It was chilly, but they provided warm blankets and heaters so we could enjoy the scenery. The winery/B&B itself is beautifully appointed, clean and welcoming. The "private" aspect of the tasting was welcomed as we visited during the Pandemic. Expect to stay the full five hours and take advantage of every aspect of this gem on the mountainside! Came here to celebrate a birthday and was NOT disappointed!! The location is small and private which made for incredibly special and unique winery experience. Mike was such a fantastic host! He was incredibly friendly and helpful. I liked every single wine I tasted (which is very rare for me) and most of our party left with a bottle! Wow - Such an intimate experience with my wife for our anniversary! We were looking for something off the beaten path, uncrowded, yet with excellent wine, great service and a nice view (impossible, right?). Mike and Heather did not disappoint, and in fact exceeded our lofty expectations! The red wines were especially good, with some pleasant and unexpected surprises along the way. The hosts are the owners, vintners, and a real joy to get to know. This is their first year of being open to the public, but you should still make a reservation as they were sold out for the outside seatings (fortunately we reserved early). Hanging out at the fire pit as evening set on was great fun, and they even provide your own smores kit for those that want them (we both did ;-) Can't say enough good things about this special venue and wine, but so glad we visited. In search of wine and food after a long day's hike -- running out of options with many wineries closed last Saturday -- we stumbled across Celebration Cellars, unaware that our visit required reservations. Owners, Mike and Heather, embraced us with welcoming arms. The gracious hospitality they bestowed on unexpected guests was absolutely top flight. They set us up with warm blankets and a heat lamp so we could enjoy the absolutely breathtaking view on a chilly night. The estate, vistas, and exceptional wine, made for a perfect experience that could only be improved by the opportunity to meet these two interesting and warm individuals. Highly recommend this experience! And I say it's an experience because it's so much more than just a wine tasting. The delicious wines coupled with the intimate setting and wonderful hosts made our time at the winery so fun and memorable! We had great conversations with Michael and Heather and each wine we tasted was fantastic, which I'm not sure I ever had experienced before since there is usually always one I don't like. What a hidden gem we found in Celebration Cellars Winery during our early evening wine tasting event. This destination winery offers spectacular views, gorgeous accommodations, inside and out, a large selection of fabulous wines, and engaging hosts that make the wine tasting experience educational and fun! We opted for the Saturday evening tasting, which Michael and Heather made extra fun by challenging us with a flight of blind tastings. We followed this with our picnic dinner and a glass of wine (I opted for their award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon and my husband chose the Red Blend) on the deck overlooking the beautiful mountain-high view of the city of Frederick. We finished off the evening with a glass of their Port while sitting around the lovely fire pit. We headed home with a case of wine and so excited to visit again this summer, this time with our adult children so they can join in the fun. read more
