Vivid is a beautiful shop and I had a great time watching my friend try on dresses. All the dresses she tried were beautiful, and there were more on the racks that I would've liked to see on someone! The dresses are designer and therefore you try on what they have on the rack, but your size is then ordered for you and alterations take place after that, so make sure to give yourself time, if you choose a dress at a shop like this (at least 6 months probably). Susanna, the shop owner was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable while helping my friend get the dresses on and in guiding her to other dresses that she might like. We narrowed it down to two of my friend's favorite and Susanna never rushed us or made us feel like we needed to hurry up and decide, or that we needed to decide on one of her dresses at all. My friend decided to walk away to think about it (and we had another appointment the other side of town in a little bit), but ended up returning that afternoon to Vivid to get her super pretty, flattering and cool wedding dress for her big day in December! Would recommend Vivid for all local/regional brides shopping for a dress; there seemed to be something for everyone, and I happened to notice that they carry plus size dresses, too!

I was told the dress would take 6 months to come in. At the 6 month mark, I called to check on my dress. They informed me that the dress was never properly ordered through the designer and that the dress I ordered would not come in. Thankfully, the sample was still there and they told me I could take that because any ordered dress would not make it in time for the wedding. The sample is not the size I ordered, and had a fake tan stain on it (thankfully it came out). They offered to send the dress to a cleaner in New York before giving it to me, but I refused it due to the tight time constraints now in place with needed additional alterations with not having the correct size. The cleaning is a predicted 3-4 additional weeks, when I am only 3.5 months away from the wedding. When I asked how this occurred, they were unsure and that it was an oversight that can happen. I was repeatedly told that it was a good thing I called, because this error was not caught. No one at the business was checking in on the order that had been placed 6 months prior, even though my wedding planner called at the 4 month mark and they simply stated that it was not in and did not look into it any further. I asked for a discount or refund of some sort because I did not receive the dress I ordered, I received a dress that is not the correct size and is off the rack. They said no, since I was able to at least leave with a dress, the only refund is the $100 shipping fee. I asked if they could cover the cost of the additional alterations since the dress is not the size I ordered, they said no. The owner offered to cover my gown preservation after the wedding, but I no longer trust them with any logistics, with such an important piece, and will not be taking that offer. If you want the dress you ordered to come in, I would not recommend this shop.

It was such a thoughtful touch, especially during the Thanksgiving holiday! On the day of my appointment, I arrived 30 minutes early, and to my surprise, I received a call inviting me to come in sooner due to the freezing cold weather outside. This level of consideration was just the beginning of a wonderful experience. I was greeted by my amazing bridal consultant, Carla, who welcomed me with a warm and friendly smile, even though she had just finished with another customer and hadn't had a full break. Customer service was great and we weren't rushed in choosing a dress to include pros and cons about each of the dresses. Lots of sales people to help and answer questions. Lots of dressing rooms, we had no wait, although they're a little tight especially if you've got lots of puffy gowns. Prices vary according to style but we found them comparable to department store pricing. All of the tags are stamped no returns, so be sure before you buy. I was shopping for an evening gown for a military ball and initially selected 4 gowns to try on, which sadly none of them worked for me. Being at a gown shop like this, you typically have someone assisting, providing additional options, etc. of which I truly didn't experience at this shop just yet. Before leaving, I find two more dresses to try and it really wasn't until then that I had the amazing help from Sefika. She took time to learn what I was shopping for, recognized my style, helped 100% to fit me for each gown, & provided honest feedback. Sefika quickly offered a few more gowns as I changed between trying them on & because of her help, I found the gown I was looking for! If it wasn't for her, I would have left empty handed & disappointed. Lastly, I felt the price point was very reasonable & there's something for every budget. I scheduled an appointment on their website, roughly told them my daughter size. When we got to our…read moreappointment the two ladies acted startled as if they were in shock they had an appointment. I told the woman my daughter size, she brings out a size 16 no where near my daughter size. Made comments how my daughter disguises her size. Insinuating she thought my daughter was overweight but now sees she not. My daughter wore sweat pants and a big shirt to go to the appointment. This comment was while tightening the back of the dress on my daughter. They only had size 2-4 and had no other sizes like 6,8, 10 or 12. They only carry small sizes for people to try on. The woman brought out two dresses that were a size 16 and that was the only dress my daughter could try on. The dresses was not the style she was going for at all. They kept saying to look at the catalog and if she likes a dress we can measure her. I had very high hopes for this boutique because they really do know how to promote on social media. Promote the truth that you don't carry a lot of other sizes and you don't have all the dresses in the boutique and you will show a catalog to customers instead. Also the rude comments about weight needs to stop! Talk to your employees about that.
