Since the holidays have started I've been to Celebrations for almost every weekend LOL! It's been my go-to place to get all my holiday paper and craft goods. Lately I've had the privilege of interacting with (a possible new member of their team) a young cheerful young lady who has been just pleasant from the moment you walk in. She does an excellent job welcoming you and offering assistance as well as suggestions and ideas. Celebrations really is a great place to get unique Christmas wrapping paper as well as gift bags and small stationary gifts. If you're a frequent visitor you may want to invest in becoming a member of their Craft Club. They have so many cello bags, plain and printed, of different sizes, Im sure you can fit one that suits your needs. They also have a bunch of colored paper bags, stickers, stationery, as well as seasonal stuffs! They have a good selection of stationery goods from JAPAN. When its from Japan, you KNOW they're good quality. They have the pens that I absolutely LOVE! A pretty wide selection of washi tape as well, they have a whole section just for it. I am not sure exactly when they opened but I think I've been going there since they opened. I buy many items for packaging, plastic bags imported from Japan that I like their quality and displays for my craft work, etc, They do have Japanese cute stationeries that I add to my stationery collections. FriXon pens and refills I think they were the first to sell in limited quantities but now the have great inventories of all sorts of pens that I've seen in Japan. He told me about this store and I went in and fell in love. I have come here several times and the same 2 guys are always super nice and super friendly. I've been hearing about this place for quite some time and I finally got to explore this little shop of cute-ness today! Celebrations is located near the 99Ranch market in Moanalua. They are right next door to Ben Franklin. Walking in, it feels like Heaven! They have cute Japanese stationary! Stickers, Washi Tape, notebooks galore... Also, they carry San-X merchandise! My most recent favorite is Jynbesan the whale shark! I also saw a little Totoro section with small bags and wallets. I recently got back into hoarding cute stationary and stickers, so this place is perfect to feed my cute cravings. I also recently started using a notebook planner... I did not know it was such a big thing! There was only one sales associate in the store, but she was so friendly! I was even told that they are actually linked with Ben Franklin, so if you are a preferred customer there, you can also apply your discount at Celebrations! Also, I started a stamp card. I never knew about this place until I had to get things prepared for my wedding and I'm so glad my sister-in-law introduced me to this place! (I even started a stamp card!) It's located by the Ben Franklin's in Mapunapuna. The store is a little small but there's so many cute things here! They have special wrapping items like cellophane bags, wrapping paper, and gift bags. They also have special ribbon and tape. They have all sorts of crafty things that you may or may not need. This is a great store for washi tape, Japanese pens and notebooks, and cute packaging! I've been coming to this store for several years. I've recently noticed that they've been carrying more pens and notebooks. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they now have the Marks Storage It notebooks and a good selection of Pilot HI-TEC-C pens, which I love! Service is great. Workers are welcoming and helpful. I do wish that the store was larger with a greater selection of notebooks. They have a rewards card. One stamp for every $10 spent. When the card is filled with 20 stamps ($200), you get a $10 gift certificate. Not great but not bad either. Overall, this is great store. read more

So KAWAII!!! (That's cute in Japanese ya hear?) It's the holidays and that means I'm busy making goody bags for every occasion. My daughter is in the first grade and my son is in the second grade, and in the realm of elementary school politics, goody bags are KING! I had bought some Halloween trinkets for my children to give out and wanted to find some cellophane bags and ribbon to package them in. I had initially gone to Ben Franklin but the saleswoman at the counter whispered that I should go next door to Celebrations for bags because they have a really nice assortment of sizes. Well heck, I thought, it's gotta be good if the competition is sending me next door! I meandered two doors down and found an adorable little shop built just for goody bags and favors! Everything in the store is from Japan and is neatly organized for your perusing pleasure. Cellophane and paper bags of all colors and sizes, enough ribbon to choke a horse and everything else one would need to make favors for any occasion. I love how the Japanese package things and make opening even the simplest of items a grand occasion. Love is in the details and there's a lot of love on every shelf. I think my favorite section though have got to be the bento boxes and musubi molds which turn your food into animals. If I had all the time in the world, I'd make every meal into a small jungle! So how much does this cuteness add up to you ask? In total I spent about $12 on Halloween cellophane goody bags, black gross grain ribbon and stickers, with enough supplies to make the 44 goody bags for my children's classmates. I think that's pretty darn good don't you think? The sales people are very helpful and the cashier was nice enough to offer me a stamp card for my purchases. He even warned that my Halloween themed items were going on sale the next day for 50% off, but I told him I was waaaay too busy to come back the next day. I originally parked to go into Ben Franklin, and saw this cute store. So, after getting the necessities from Ben Franklin, I strolled on over to see what Celebrations was all about, since it looked so cute just from the window. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted right away by the friendly worker. The store had several other customers, but she took the time to approach us and tell us that she was available for any assistance. The decor of the store makes you just want to be creative. There were paper flowers sprinkled all over the floor, how can you go wrong? I asked if they sold ribbons that were already made and the worker said they didn't but she could show me how to make it, since it was fairly easy. To my surprise, it was, and I ended up buying ribbon that I had really no intention of, just because it was cute and the worker was so pleasant in showing me how. The store specializes in super cute things like pink heart shaped bubble wraps, a wide variety of paper to choose from, art pens and just lots of different things. As soon as I saw the wall of washi tape, I was in love. --I was in Heaven! I absolutely love Japanese stationary items (pens, adorable post-it notes, clever/cute office gadgets, you name it) and I could easily get my fix here at Celebrations. I oohed at the cute panda bento accessories and ahhed at the adorable greeting cards. So cute! --Perhaps a good chunk of their items are favor/gift supplies. Think wedding, 1st birthday, office party, birthday, there was a pillow box, goody bag, or wrapping paper for your occasion. They always have a good seasonal selection as well, so I'll be sure to come back around Christmas time~ --I was happy enough with the washi tape but wasn't sure what I'd do with it once I bought it....thankfully, Celebrations has lots of project idea sheets all over the store. --The two guys that man the shop are wonderful! They were suuuuper nice and personable, politely and cheerfully answered all my questions, and even gave me some neat recommendations. Celebrations is now my one-stop shop when it comes to cuteness, gift giving, and parties. I went to this store on opening day and was amazed at the originality, quality, and cuteness of their crafts and supplies. They had a huge range of bento and musubi decorators that otherwise would have to be purchased online. The sophistication of the Japanese crafting supplies made me realize that I would never want to open a gift wrapped in their paper, bows, stickers, and tape because it's too beautiful to rip open. The pricing was a little more on the expensive side, but you definitely get what you pay for. The customer service was amazing, I've never been treated with as much respect and enthusiasm in a craft store before! Definitely a huge difference from other craft stores on the island. These people actually seem passionate and proud of their products and their many uses. The place is a little small, but the atmosphere made my visit a very comfortable one. Did I mention how polite they are? It's exactly what I would expect from a quality store. I've been to Celebrations once, and will definitely be going back soon. This store is a wonderful little place to check out if you're looking for any sort of unique crafts, gift supplies, or interesting trinkets (or if you have a girlfriend who is really into cute japanese stationary or knickknacks!) The staff is friendly and helpful, and the products are cool! My girlfriend also commented that she really liked the samples that are displayed above each shelf. They give you a good idea of what the products will look like and can be used for outside of their packaging. We went last week during the grand opening sale and got some deals, including some colorful Washi tape, a stylish Onigiri container, a couple mechanical pencils (the kind that you shake to make the lead come out), and some paperclips in the shape of animals. We've been enjoying our purchases, and are excited to go back to check out their newest products. All in all, it was definitely worth the visit. I absolutely love this store! So glad my friend suggested this store after I asked her about HEIKO closing. What's a maid of honor to do when you have a very picky, DIY kind of bride to please, you head down here for the most adorable finishing touches for bridal shower and wedding. I can't believe I have never been here before, they have cute little favor bags and boxes for every event. I recently picked up a few Halloween bags for my son's class, I usually don't have time to do DIY crafts but when I do I most definitely need to stop by here. Also a plus is that they have a clearance table and everything with a green dot is 40% off or more, we scored with some cute take out boxes for my friends candy bar treats at her wedding. Everything is set up so neatly that you know where to start your hunting, if you're looking for favor bags, stationeries, stamps and they also have some samples so DIY creations they make so when you aren't that creative you can copy theirs :). Staff is always so friendly and welcoming and they really start a conversation with you and you can feel that they are genuine about it. So glad that I know this store exists and they have lots of parking and I won't have to worry about spending too much because they are very affordable. They also have a stamp card to rack in those purchases with some awesome discounts! Hands down worst customer service ever. I can't give a good review to a store even if they have supplies from Japan. Me and another lady both entered the store and was not greeted. Even if my appearance looks like I'm not going to buy anything that doesn't warrant blatant disrespect. I walked between the cashier and the door to where the rotating display shelf to check out the stickers. The lady (manager or store owner, doesn't matter) looked at me didn't say anything. She heads to where I was (at the rotating shelf looking at the stickers) and expecting her to greet me or ask me for help, she spins the display around when she saw me looking at it. She takes something off the shelf goes back to the cash register to wrap something. After being completely exasperated I continued to shop to see if any supplies were worth purchasing regardless of customer service experience. Then I heard the other lady ready to check out and overheard the conversation they had: I actually wanted to purchase some items with cash (she laughs it off).. the lady behind the counter just remains quiet unapologetic and after her card gets accepted she changes her demeanor and says: Thank you have a nice day. Idk, I was reading the signals that the lady who actually purchased something seemed like she was picking up her vibe too. Long story short I ended up going to another stationary store farther away from me with products also imported from Japan and received better service. I understand what it takes to run a small business because I worked directly for owners before.. They said customer service is EVERYTHING. Here's an updated review: This is my second time here. I came for the erasable pens and crystal bags. My total ended up being $27.xx and not realizing I should have spent $3 to get another stamp on my stamp card ($10 equal 1 stamp) I left the store and went right back in to make an additional purchase to get another stamp. I didn't even leave the parking lot. The woman told me that everything needed to be in 1 transaction to get the stamps. My thought was "would they really rather me return everything and purchase all together just to make an extra $3 purchase"? I was slightly annoyed by this. She ended up allowing me to make another purchase for another stamp. But unlike the first time I was here, the customer service was a lot better from the gentleman that was working. They also have lots of cute deco and washing tape but the prices are pretty high to me. I purchase a lot of tape for half those prices. read more

This is an awesome store. The guys who work here are always helpful and friendly, willing to go out of their way to help customers. What can you find here? There are all kinds of super cute goodie bags, packages, seals, ties, and beautiful wrapping paper to make that party or gift extra special. These guys also have clear cellophane baggies that come in all different sizes, both plain and with adhesive, and I haven't seen that kind of selection anywhere else. To top it all off there are cute little bento-box molds and other assorted Japanese trinkets. Really cool. I try to visit these guys whenever there is a birthday, party, holiday or any other special occasion coming up, because these guys deserve the business. What a cute little store! The whole place is so organized and nicely decorated that I just wanted to take my time walking around and looking at everything. I'm not a creative person at all, so it really helped that they had examples of how their products could be used right above them. I also appreciate how nice the staff is; they greet you with a smile when you come in and make you feel comfortable about approaching them with any questions. I ended up buying much more than I intended to because the products looked so good on display and the staff was just so friendly. My coworkers loved the erasable Japanese pens I bought for them because they write so smoothly and erase easily. I just can't wait for a special occasion or someone's birthday to come up, so I can use the cute gift wrap and ribbons I bought!
