Located inside a small plaza near Ala Moana (Piikoi st.) They share a private parking area with Cho Dangs Honolulu and Nijiya Market. They have a wide variety of items that changes constantly and something new available at the shop. Once you set your eyes on something rare, I recommend buying it instead of waiting because I guarantee you it will not be there the next time you visit. I also advise that the store can get really expensive because these are mostly imported goods from Japan. So spend wisely! Sales and discounts are also provided, but on rare occasions. The employees are also very helpful and nice. They will support your purchase just not your wallet (lol).

All curated for those with an eye of minimalism and simplicity. The prices here are fair as I feel that the quality really exceeds the average patron. I purchased a water bottle that has traversed the United States with me and has done well. A few incenses that smelled amazing and a few other items. The guy at the cash register was super friendly too. We had a small talk about mid century modern vibes and it was great to speak to someone that had a real good sense of the vibe I was trying to aim for.

The Paperie is been in Kahala Mall and the place I go to browse regardless as this cute little shop is filled with so many cute items for everyone including our pets. I do love that they highlight the current event/holiday right when you walk in so that it filters out what you're most probably are looking for making it a great option to give someone or yourself as it was the Lunar New Year and finding various cards and Chinese horoscope is a great find though not easily keeping the whole set I didn't see the ones that I was looking for sadly. My mom and I stopped in because she was looking for earrings. She had mentioned before that Pink Box has cute selections at reasonable prices, so we decided to browse. While she was looking at earrings and pointing out styles she liked, I was helping her look through them. For context, I don't even wear earrings since I have large gauges, so I wasn't shopping for myself in that section. Afterward, I moved over to the claw clips and was looking through some butterfly clips to see if they came in matching colors. A sales associate approached us and asked if we needed help. We politely said no thank you and continued browsing. What made us uncomfortable was that after that interaction, the employee remained very close to us and appeared to be watching us the entire time. When we moved to a different area, she followed. Whether intentional or not, it felt as though we were being monitored because she suspected we might steal something. My mom and I both noticed it, and it made the shopping experience uncomfortable. We are paying customers who have visited this store before and have never given anyone a reason to be suspicious of us. I understand that retail employees have a job to do, but there is a difference between being attentive and making customers feel like they're under surveillance. Unfortunately, because of that experience, we didn't feel welcome during our visit.

Sugarcane is this cute shop where you can find all these locally made items for a gift, for the home, fir kids, for a friend, or for visitors. They have books, puzzles, toys jewelry, totes, bags, coasters and more. I love the wooden toys for the kids. I bought a wooden cell phone, a camera, stickers and a cute cooking set. They are my kiddos favorite toys. I've gotten key chains and jewelry for gifts. We have coasters for our home too. The workers are pretty friendly and they also wrapped my gift item too. The items seem pricey, but they are locally made and are unique. I don't think you'll find any ship with the same kind of item that Sugarcane carries.
