At the store they said they would remove my existing counters. It was not on my receipt and the contractor that came asked for an addition $1000 to remove the countertops. I would have just used Home Depot if I knew I had to go through all this. I ended up refusing to pay the 1K and removed the counters myself. It was a big headache and a lot of trouble. The install overshoots in a few locations which I did not like. Also I had extra pieces of stone since you buy slabs and the left all the trash in my garage. They don't install the sink, just cut the hole. FYI If they promise removal get it in witting. Or save yourself the headaches and just have your own installer do the work. Lastly I got charged per hole for the facet and soap dispenser, they did not even need to cut any holes just a large opening for the drop in sink.
