I've been going to this place for 3 years now and there are two women there who are excellent ( Fariba and Miriam ) . Today unfortunately the lady who did my eyebrows did a terrible job . I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for over 15 years so I know a good experience from bad . First of all she missed so many little hairs , I had to tell her to touch up twice . Second my right eyebrow is shorter than the left . I tried telling her and she said that she didn't do it . Unfortunately I won't be visiting Celeste again since I never seem to know when the skilled eyebrow technicians are there and I don't want my eyebrows to be ruined again. read more

I live more than 10 mi away from this place but I choose to drive to it once a month because they truly know how to shape and thread my eyebrows. The girls there are lovely, very friendly and welcoming. They always listen to what i want done to my eyebrows and they're great at making it happen. The owner invited me to get a complimentary eyebrow threading via Yelp. SInce I like to support local businesses, and I felt her offer and use of Yelp was creative, I called her up and explained how my brows have been overplucked when I was a teen... and maybe she could give me a different service. I suggested a tint. She said she would look at my brows and see what she could do. Let me preface this with... I HATE MY BROWS! A babysitter over plucked them when I was young, and I don't know how to shape them. So I have basically slapped on eyebrow pencil and called it a day my whole adult life. I was skeptical that I would recommend this place. I even told the owner: "You know I will rate this place honestly... even with the complementary service." She said she understood. She looked at my brows, showed me some before and after shots of real customers, and told me her recommendation is to tint and thread. She also described how my eyebrows should be shaped. I said ok. What could I lose... My brows couldn't look any worse. The tint was first. I think it took maybe 30 min. My brows looked darker...ok... not bad. She then did some threading and explained the process. It took maybe 15 minutes. She said it hurts some people. Frankly, it didn't hurt me at all. I looked at my brows and they looked ok, but not great. She then explained how there is one spot that needs to grow back, and I could use some eyebrow makeup to help shape them. She even did it for me and had me hold a mirror so I could see what she was doing. She also suggested a better color for my eyebrow makeup than what I was using. I ended up giving her the full price for my two services because I was so impressed. So I waited a day to write the review... because I got up this morning and did my make up (with the color she suggested). I can't tell you... my brows aren't perfect.. but THEY ARE SO-OOOO MUCH BETTER. I actually LIKED them once I touched them up with my pencil. I actually plan to go back about once a month to get them to the best they possibly can be. I didn't make it 5 stars because I haven't tried all the services... and the place should be better decorated. But this owner is young... give her time. Also... take a look at all the high marks this place is getting for reviews that are ruled out by the Yelp algorithm... I'm not sure why (secret sauce) but I hope mine doesn't end up there. read more

This is a wonderful place for threading for males. I was always skeptical of the idea of getting my eyebrows done till I talked to someone over here and explained what I was looking for. I just needed to look more professional with eyebrows benign more groomed up but nothing out of the ordinary . They did and excellent job for me. Unfortunately the last couple of times I've been back to Celeste, I haven't had the best experiences. It's not that they were bad but just okay compared to my initial visit. I'm always going to need full face threading and the two aestheticians that have helped me since my first visit were underwhelming. In fact, this last visit, I called to make an appointment and mentioned that I would need someone who could handle full face threading for someone with thick hair and was told that the person assisting me was very experienced and would have no issues with it. Well, she seemed to have issues because she kept asking if she could skip some areas and making comments about the thickness of my hair. I left not entirely thrilled and with some hair still in my neck / chin area which I cleaned up at home. Celeste Beauty really impressed me! I don't live in the area anymore. I came home to visit family and was looking for a threading place to get these caterpillar babies under control. I have not found one place that I will go back to because they always end up leaving them too thin, or are uneven, or something. Thicker brows are in and I have been growing the thickness in mine for about the last year. I discovered this place yelping thru, and she had some good reviews so I decided to give it a try. I took my 2 sisters in with me, we all had our eyebrows threaded, and 2 of us had them tinted. We are all so happy with her work! She is nice and quiet, showed her a couple of pics and understood the not everyone wants a sharpie brow look. The tinting was not as noticeable in me since I have darker hair but my sister who has lighter hair, she looked great! She also offers permanent eyelash curling, tinting and extensions! I have had my eyebrows and lip threaded at a handful of salons around Highwood and all the way up to Lake Bluff and Celeste is the absolute best. She was very quick and the threading process was painless. I also was considering getting my brows tinted with henna, but she helpfully explained how since my brows are light in color that a regular tint would be better. Love this place!! I've been to atleast 15-20 different people for eyebrow threading. I don't like them thin and short and even though I always say this immediately when I sit down for some reason i walk out with thin short eyebrows and no shape. Thankfully my eyebrows grow out super fast. When I saw the images on this companies yelp I knew they knew what they were doing. Went there this week and I was soo happy leaving I do have a usual eyebrow girl but she was out of town and she's about 30 min away. Now I have 2 amazing places to go to, I'm a happy girl. Microblading can be a scary endeavor. It is basically putting a tattoo on your face. I would trust no one else but Celeste Beauty. Miriam is an artist. My initial microblading looked amazing. You are supposed to come back for a touch up a couple months after the initial appointment. There was barely anything to touch up. Her technique allows for maximum color to stay after the first appointment. I decided to do another touch up about 18 months later to darken my eyebrows again. I am even happier this time. The shape she created looks so natural and fits my face perfectly. Having my eyebrows microbladed is amazing since I never have to fill them now. NOTE: This review is on microblading. I used to see Aruna for threading and I loved her. She was good, sweet and funny. I enjoyed my visits with her. Now, in response to Celeste: The first time I complained about the lack of response, you told me that I should text you instead for a quicker response. So I did, and yet it took you a few days again to respond. I understand emergencies come up, what's so hard about responding to my text to let me know that you had a death in the family and you need a few days to take care of things? I would have been understanding of your situation! This is what's more frustrating, trying to make excuses for everything. RE touch up, you knew that I was going to be out of town for a few weeks and wouldn't be able to come back in time for the scheduled touch up. We discussed this before I was "convinced" to push through with it, with the guarantee that things would be ok and no problem getting the touch up upon my return. But then again, if the work was not good in the first place, how could you expect me to come back? When I got my microblading fixed, you know what the technician told me? "Why do you have Xs on your brows?" She said it it looked like you just drew Xs (which was true, exactly what they looked like). And they were not even. It was really bad and it was very disappointing because I had trusted you. But what's done is done. Obviously, there is no going back. read more

I live so far from this salon but work near here - and will only go here for my eyelash extensions with Miriam. She's also an awesome person but really knows what she's doing. I've gone to Miriam for almost 6 months now and just still absolutely love her work and I've gotten so many compliments on my eyelashes. I was going there to get my lashes done by sima because I like how she filled them the first time I went .. but the last time I went she used different product on me and the started falling fast . Within a week more than half my lashes fell off I contact her and told her what was going on also the fill was a volume look which it did. Not look like it within that week. So I contact her if she can fix it, she schedule me for a day to come in but then on that same day she reschedule me .. (which she never did before, but I'm guess because this was a complain it was much easier to not give importance to my appointment) I was so upset because I didn't feel good going out with my lashes look long like they did. The appointment was on Saturday but she ended up scheduling me until Monday afternoon. Monday came and she took me in and I told her I want volume same as always.. so she was working on my lashes until her next client came but she was still working on me, about 20 mins pass and she was still not done with my lashes so she asked me if I can come back tomorrow or another day to finish filling them in .. she still needed to fill them in from the corners of the eye... i was like what ? Inside my head then i don't know why I said ok and then she proceed me to the cash register where she wanted to charge me $65 for a week of refill ,when I normally pay $80 for a 3 week So I asked her, that's the price for a week full? Then she check the paper she had and she said yes ... I did t think it was fair for her to charge me that much when there was an issue plus she didn't finish my fill in the first place ... anyways she was rude after that she sighted then roll her eyes and turn the iPad where you pay with the cc and told me "pay whatever you want" and left !! I ended up paying her something but now that I think about it .. I should of have .. plus I'm never going there read more
