I've been coming to Celeste for a couple of years now and I'm always happy when I leave. Zohra and Miriam are fantastic. The shop is very clean. Their prices are reasonable and this is the least painful Brazilian I've ever received. Also, I always have my brows threaded here. They do such a great job for only $7!! This place was a little hard to find because the sign outside says "THE SALON" instead of Celeste Beauty. I found this place on Patch because they were offering amazing deals for eyebrows and facials. I just got a European facial and let me tell you my face has never felt soo good. I feel like my pores can actually breathe. They had a special this month for $45 which was amazing for a one hour long facial oh and they also gave me a little massage with the facial !!! . I will definitely be coming back here for more facials in the future. I wish I can show everyone how nice and soft my skin feels. I just cant stop touching it. Its the best place to go get your waxing facial and lashes done. Zohra is my girl! All the ladies in this impeccable salon can make your brows look runway worthy! Zohra calmed my nerves about getting my eye lash extensions! I love them and they last! I got a full legs wax and an eyebrow threading done. I was a little nervous because pretty much all the reviews were just about brows, but I'm happy with all my results! The reason for four and not five stars is I had to wait a bit for my scheduled wax appointment and again for my brows I'll be honest, I've never had my legs waxed at a salon before, so I can only compare my experience to waxing at home. I take forever waxing my own legs and this was sooo much faster! Quick and easy, the space was clean and sanitary; Patricia asked me just how high up my leg I wanted to go and asked me to double check she hadn't missed anything when she was done. (She told me she isn't usually at the Sheridan location, she was covering someone). Then Aruna threaded my eyebrows. First thing she did was ask me how I wanted them, which I had never really been asked at the other places I've gotten them done. She had me look a couple times during the process to make sure I liked the shape. She was very friendly and I really liked her attention to detail! This was my to go place even though it was half an hour away. But lately I've been getting new people doing my brows and not doing a good job of it. One girl gave me high arches which I did not ask for. of course I didn't say anything because I figured she's new no big deal. The last time I went the lady did my brows pretty quick which it shouldn't be because my brows are thick and hairy. It hurt this time around and when I checked my brows they seemed fine (while tears in my eyes) I get home and notice again hair where there should be no hair. Even on my lip. even though she threaded it too. I guess I'll find someplace that takes their time and does what I pay them for. read more

This place is great find when in north shore. It's very hard finding a threading place up there. I was there on business last week and had some time to kill so I called in to see if someone can give me a quick threading. Once I got there and had my threading done I was in love already . And since I still had time I asked how long would it take to do a Brazilian since I was due for it and it was only 40 and they offered hard wax I said why not. She assured she will be done in 20minutes max. So I went ahead. I was extremely happy. Was room and equipment was extremely clean and the girl was really quick and efficient. I am definitely going back if and when ever I am up in north shore area. May just take a drive for my Brazilian since it is well worth it going threre. Keep up the good work. Hello Yelp- I felt it was fair to write an update. After my review went live the owner of Celeste Beauty contacted me. She was very apologetic, assured me that technician was no longer doing Brazilians, and offered me 2 free waxes with her, the owner. She also reimbursed me for the service, as well as, purchased an oil extract to put on the effected areas. While I was very appreciative of her efforts to follow up with me and offer free services. I have not and do not plan to return. It took approximately 4 months for my "lower region" to fully heal. read more

I have been coming here fairly regularly for 3 years and today may have been my last visit. After clearly explaining how I wanted my eyebrows just cleaned up, the tech decides to do it her way. Then when I tell her she took too much off and I didn't want that, she starts to argue with me, saying that all her clients do that. Well, I specifically told you how I wanted my eyebrows cleaned up and left as thick as possible, and I am only one client who you shouldn't assume is like all your other clients. There was no remorse and no attempt at correcting the situation. I am beyond angry that I spent almost 2 months growing my brows out to be fuller and now one is thinner than it should be and shorter than the other. Disappointed is an understatement, especially after I trusted in the expertise and work of the salon and all its employees. read more

This is a tough one...the owners were nice but I don't appreciate them yelling at each other loudly during my service. It was three hours and hard to nap coz of the noise and my headband was really tight. I got eyelash extension and they are not comfortable and has been falling off even though I don't regularly out on make up. The owner charged 120 which is the lowest regular price. But I didn't feel like it was worth it...she put a lot of efforts in it though. She also gave me complimentary brow threading which is nice. read more

So far first visit went well. I was looking for a place that could fix my eyebrows and help reshape them back to the thick nice brows with an arch that are so popular. The previous lady who had been waxing me really started not doing a good job and I noticed my eyebrows were just not looking so well anymore. Anyways I have hope for this place. The tech assured me she could restore my eyebrows in about 3-4 sittings. The underarm wax went well and was less painful than the place I usually go. I have spent years looking for a local threading establishment that will fulfill my eyebrow needs. Each place I have gone to has left me with thin unshaped eyebrows. When a friend of mine suggested I go to Celeste to get my eyebrows done, I was worried about how they would turn out. The location itself was slightly difficult to get to but once inside, I was shocked by how nicely it was decorated. I really love the color scheme! The owner did a fantastic job on my eyebrows. She was able to transform my bushy man-brows into thick and beautiful subtle arches. She also tinted my mother's eyebrows and gave her tips on how to further color them in the future. Even my picky mother was impressed by her handiwork. Their great customer service, attention to detail, and passion for beauty really made for an overall fantastic experience. Horrible overall! This was my first time coming here and it was horrible first impression. I have always gotten my eyebrows done at the mall but decided to give Celeste Beauty in Highwood a try since my cousin had a good experience there. Walking in, I stood there awkwardly while no one greeted me, one girl even saw me and just walked away. I was then greeted by a second girl and asked why I was there. I told them I wanted to get my eyebrows threaded and they told me to sit down. I stayed there while the second girl was in another room and the first was on her phone. I waited for this girl to finally look up from her phone just so she could tell the girl who had left to help me. She then left and I was helped by the second girl. I told her I wanted them a LITTLE thick and she proceeded to do my brows and after she was done I had to ask her to take off more because they looked untouched. She then took off more and even though it looked as if she barely touched them, I just decided to pay and leave. HORRIBLE customer service and a POORLY done job. Maybe there was a misunderstanding but the shape was horrendous. Not as bad as the customer service though! I should've walked out as soon as I saw the first girl ignored me! read more
