Amazing the doorman greeted us. The host sat us per my reserved table and Kai was a fantastic server. We are the chicken salad and chicken tenders, a couple specialty drinks for dinner. After dinner, we went upstairs to check out the second floor and had a drink. Onto to the third floor and Sami was our server and she was fantastic and we dance the night away ! The fourth floor and final floor is a beautiful garden area great place for photos. Actually the whole place is truly an awesome experience. I will definitely be back. This review is based off my 1st floor experience. The drinks and overall music/vibe were solid--I'd give that a B+. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing and significantly impacted our experience. Our server on the first floor, a woman with short dark poofy hair and an Eye of Horus tattoo on her lower right chest area, was unprofessional from the start. She placed glasses precariously on the edge of the table, and when we tried to help distribute them to our group, she abruptly told us not to touch them. Her tone and demeanor throughout the night were cold and dismissive, making us feel like a burden rather than valued guests. Despite our party of four being polite and low-maintenance, her attitude remained the same. When it came time to pay, we noticed a 15% gratuity had already been added--something she did not mention to us at any point, which felt sneaky, especially given the level of service provided. I hope management takes this seriously. A good atmosphere only goes so far--poor service will drive people away, no matter how good the drinks or music are. First time visitor and stopped in to begin my birthday celebration with dinner. Overall, it was just ok. There are four-stories (Whiskey bar, Deco Supper Club, Disco, Garden) and each floor has a different vibe and music. We made reservations, we were sent upstairs to find another host but when we got there everyone seemed confused why we were trying to check in. I WANT to give this place a 5 star review. The disco floor is awesome and the vibes are good. However - I got to Celeste with friends early in the night. When we migrated from the top floor to the disco floor, left my cross-body bag with my prescription sunglasses behind. Later on there were bouncers blocking access to the top floor so I couldn't go up and look for it. I have tried many times to contact lost & found - calling, emailing, going through the reservation thing on the website - and have had complete radio silence on every attempt. Not letting me look for the bag and also being completely unable to reach them has forced me to leave this review. SUPER FUN multi-story bar! first floor is classy, low lighting, mix of rap and top 40 songs. No dancing or dancefloor; there's a couple of tables and booths. This was the least crowded floor, and we were able to be seated and order drinks quickly. People were wearing trendy and upscale clothing. Second story is disco music with an insane light up floor, but it's a little cramped. It was crowded and difficult to get a drink. Waited in line for admission to this business. As about everywhere I go I was wearing my Baylor hat. The gentlemen that work the door were rude about my hat . Instead of saying we don't allow hats to be worn inside the building they made me get out of line because I was wearing my Baylor baseball hat. My little sister got married last night downtown and a group of 20 of us left the venue and headed straight to Disco. The line was wrapped around the block. I spoke with Omar at the door and explained the situation. Within 5 mins he gave us the best table on the third floor with bottle service and a light up message congratulating them. All star MVP like performance by my guy Omar. Will always be back if he's working the door, so much fun. My friends and I stopped by Celeste on Hubbard street to celebrate St. Paddy's. The best part about Celeste is that it has 3 floors playing 3 different types of music. Hence different vibes on each floor. My favorite is top floor where it has open rooftop and the best music. They usually play trans music. The whole vibe is quite breezy and moody. The floor below that is also quite interesting. It has a pretty trippy dance floor where it'll transport you to 80's kind of music. The drinks are decently priced but not very strong. We also had some food mostly small bites of burger and truffle fries on the lowest floor. Overall service was decent. Also, it's open pretty late on weekends until 4 AM. I will be back! read more

An old friend of mine was in town for the holidays last night. He brought his sisters with and the 4 of us tried to go to Celeste. I had never been. There was a short line, about 5 people. We got to the front of the line, asked the cover, and were told by some guy at the door (seemed to be the boss of the bouncer) that we wouldn't be allowed entry... BECAUSE WE ARE WHITE. We caused no problems and literally did nothing but wait in line. As I type this, this story doesn't even sound real. Very strenge situation. If you're looking for a girls night, birthday outing, bachelorette this is your place. Four levels, a huge disco ball, two DJ's. I dined here tonight with a coworker friend, we were both in town for a conference. She had heard that it was good so we wanted to try it. We had a reservation for 6 PM but were running early, and arrived there at 5 PM when they were apparently opening. We were seated right away. We ended up splitting the tomato jam crostini, which was a little spicy but tasty, and we each got an order of the steak sliders. They were doing happy hour at the time and they had $8 drinks, too, which is a pretty good deal for Chicago. We basically only saw our waitress at the beginning and the end of the meal, there was another server who constantly refilled our water glasses, which was a plus, and also brought us our food; therefore, I hope they split tips. Ambience was nice and would've been great for a date night as well, as the lighting is low. One picky thing: I have stomach issues so a lot of the time I am in the bathroom for 10 minutes or more at a time, and they had a timer set up for the lights to go out after that. I absolutely hate when this happens because then I'm sitting there in the dark. So I'd recommend that they change the timer setting. I wish I could give less than one star. The people working here are homophobic and cruel. We were here for my friend's bachelorette party, which included a group of girls and a few gay boys. The security people judged our outfits, called us homophobic slurs and tried to revoke our sense of humanity with their horrid words. Just when I thought it could not get worse, a staff member spit on my friend and gave him the middle finger. We were very poised and very demure and did not deserve this treatment. When looking for a venue to get married and have a celebration between two families and friends- my partner and I knew we wanted a place that matched what we love - music, nature & elegance. Celeste delivered on all the things we wanted for an intimate wedding of just under 60 guests. Kassandra helped us through the whole process of planning, setting our contract and helping with day of details and putting things together in the space. It was a bit difficult to get a hold of the management group farther out from our event, but as the day got closer it was much easier- as they are very busy throughout the summer months and leading up to it. Kassandra communicated with our wedding coordinate Amber with Events with Ambiance to make sure all things were set up and successful for the day of with our DJ, florals and other little details. When we arrived the day of our wedding, I was in tears at how beautiful it all looked after months of planning. The staff were so nice and helpful throughout the night & the service was on time and fast. The drinks did not stop flowing! All of our guests were raving about our "signature drink" and how tasty the hors d'oeuvres were during cocktail hour! The food was absolutely incredible and very filling- we choose the salmon, steak, cauliflower steak and bowtie pasta option for our guests. At dinner time, it was so magical to have the fresh open air on the garden floor with the summertime buzz of the city in the background. By the time the dancing rolled around after dinner and speeches- everyone was so happy. We completely shocked our family and guests by heading down to the disco floor for first dance, mother son, and father daughter dances. We opened up the disco floor and had a great time with all of our loved ones together for over an hour. We could not have asked for a better venue and location to host such a special night. And the beautiful thing is, we can come back to Celeste whenever we want a bit of nostalgia for our wedding night. Thank you again so much Celeste and the staff/team for helping us put on an amazing night of fun & dancing for our closest friends and family. The perfect place for a pandemic wedding (with less than 25 people)! The venue was charming and elegant with lots of candles and plants. It was an afternoon affair. The ceremony and lunch took place upstairs, with the gorgeous glass ceiling partly opened to allow for fresh air. The acoustics were great. There was a cocktail hour on the first floor - everyone was very spaced out. The bartender was wonderful, very professional. The food was not amazing but probably just as good as most weddings. The portions were notably small. The servers seemed nervous and not very friendly but still did a good job. Everyone had a lovely time. I wish they had done just a few things differently, like pump sanitizer into every guests hands as they came in, and place more sanitizer stations throughout (especially upstairs and around the bar). Temperature checks have become commonplace at restaurants and I was surprised and disappointed that they did not do them here. It would have been nice if they had passed out alcohol wipes before the food or made them available at every table. Additionally, I would have thought plated instead of passed appetizers would have been a safer choice, and ensuring fresh air was also coming into the first floor during the cocktail hour should have been indispensable. These additional precautions would have gone a long way to making everyone feel at ease. Hopefully, what they did was enough. It would also have been nice if there had been a designated waiting area for the bride prior to the procession and if there had been a clear path to the "altar" for the wedding party. People seemed generally confused about where to go, and where to stop. The setup was a little challenging, trying to space out the couches but leave enough room in the front. I'm not sure how often they host weddings. It's possible that some of these decisions were left to the bride. Overall, Celeste is a beautiful venue for a memorable occasion with a small guest list.
