We enjoy treating ourselves to afternoon tea and this has quickly become our favorite place in the Bay Area. It's just a couple of minutes off 80 in Vacaville. Super easy to find! The servers are outstanding; they are attentive and there to meet the need but without interrupting the conversation within your party. That's an art and it's much appreciated. There is an extensive tea menu that will delight all different kinds of tea lovers. The food is delicious and gorgeously prepared on a 3-tiered tray. The manager is lovely and always on site. What a wonderful experience!! Came out to visit family and they heavily recommended this place and I see why, it was clean and very "fancy". If you want THE high tea experience this is where you will find it. Its small and intimate, the servers are wonderful the owner is present, and they know what they are talking about. I asked for some recommendations and they were able to describe the tea so well. The food and desserts were so nice and they give amazing portions, we had to get a box to go, they even gave me a cup to take the rest of my tea. This was a great tea experience! I'm not usually much of a tea drinker but these were the best teas I've ever tasted! I would totally come again. We got the Chai tea and Parisian tea. Both were tasty, but the Chai is a MUST! It was so memorably good. We also chose the sparkling cider and orange juice which both had petals on top. The food tasted good, especially the mixed berry scone. My mom put in the reservation notes that it was my birthday recently, and I was served a beautiful, delicious chocolate cake which was complimentary. The ambiance was super elegant and classy. Perfect place for mommy & me dates! It was easy to make reservations and they also confirm via text with us prior to arrival. The moment we walked in our girls were in awe.. & we were greeted like princesses and was well taken care of by Bryce & Ashley! They were super friendly & attentive! Bryce gave us great recommendations as far as tea selections goes. So sweet to offer to help us capture photos of us as well! Great touch on the purse hangers on the tables which did not go unnoticed. Its small and cozy but BEAUTIFULLY decorated with gorgeous chandeliers. The food was delicious and tasty especially my favorite is the scone with the homemade sweet cream! Oh lord.. it was heaven. We picked out the 2 Junior exquisite afternoon tea experience and 2 adults. Fairly priced about $92 for 1 Junior + 1 adult. It was enough variety of sandwiches, pastries, fruits and desserts. They also accommodated our food allergy which was awesome. Overall, it was such an amazing experience for all of us especially core memory for our little girls and so sweet to be greeted by the owner as well! What's not to love about this place! For starters, it's absolutely beautiful inside. If you are a fan of Bridgerton, or Parisian themed establishments, Celeste is for you. This tea room is reservation only and you have about 3 packages to choose from. The packages all consist of pre-selected finger foods and treats. However, you can choose from any of their tea flavors that they have on the menu. They do switch out the flavors based on the season. Service was amazing! We absolutely adored our server Addy. She was so sweet and offered suggestions on teas that have been pretty popular amongst patrons. The staff constantly checked on us and made sure we were taken care of. As far as the teas, they are absolutely delicious!! And you get a lot of it. Don't be fooled by the pictures of the food selections. You will leave here feeling FULL! The only recommendation I have when coming is to not show up more than 5 minutes before your reservation time as there is not a waiting area inside. First true High Tea with the most beautiful ambiance, China, tea pots ....oh my!!! Even the bathroom is elegant with brass & marble. Booked a reservation for three for 11:30 AM and arrived a bit earlier so had to wait outside until our table was ready. The ambience is beautiful and white and pristine. When my party and I sat, I noticed some crumbs on our white table cloth. We made a reservation for the signature tea selection, which was already chosen for us. I wish we would have known what exactly the menu included. We were first given a sample of a decaf pumpkin spice tea, which was bold with the spice and a great autumnal flavor. My friends and I then chose our tea selections - Parisian (black), wedding bliss (white), and Formosa (oolong). I really enjoyed the tea, but some of the tea pots were faulty and spilled from the bottom area due to the design of the tea pot. We were given a scone each, which was delicious, but were only given one clotted cream and jam so we had to ask for more. The first tier of tea sandwiches included chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, dill cucumber, and fig marmalade with butter on wheat bread. I liked the classic dill cream cheese cucumber most. The bread was a bit stale for the sandwiches. The second tier included fresh fruit and an artichoke savory pastry. The pastry was yummy but oily and cold. The top tier included cream puffs and pumpkin cream cheese cupcakes. The cupcake was nice but the chocolate icing on the cream puff was a bit grainy. The servers were nice, but did not seem knowledgeable of the tea when I asked questions about the flavors. I enjoyed the unique and distinct flavors of the tea. I wasn't impressed by the food. My sister & I came here for their 2pm Tea service about a week ago. Roman sat us near the window and gave us menus to pick out our 2 pots of tea. We decided on getting 2 different teas to share. We tried the Jasmine Green tea, as well as a pot of a Peach Tea, which were both good. We decided to get The Grande Royal Tea service which is $63pp. & also included a glass of champagne, which was nice. Roman brought out their delicious warm Berry Scones, which we loved. Next was a cup of the incredible Tomato Basil Bisque. I'm not much a fan of tomato soup but this was so yummy I wanted more. Next they brought out our 3 tiered plate with finger sandwiches, fruit, and mini desserts. There were 5 different kinds of finger sandwiches for each of us: Pear/Cream Cheese, Smoked Salmon/Caviar, Turkey/Fig, Chicken Salad on a Croissant, & Cucumber/Dill. They were all wonderful, but the Smoked Salmon/Caviar was a bit too salty for me. There was an Artichoke/Parmesan bite with the fresh fruit that both of us really enjoyed. By the time we finished eating our Tomato Bisque, & finger sandwiches, we only managed to taste one of the mini desserts, and took the rest TOGO. My mom has always taken my nieces, sister in law & daughter to tea houses all over since they were small. My niece who is now married made reservations at this tea house which was all of our first time. Which will definitely not be our last. The outside is very inviting, but when you walk in it is absolutely jaw dropping gorgeous! One of the if not the most absolute beautiful tea houses I have ever been to! Simply elegant is what I can sum it up to! We all had a wonderful time! The food was delicious, tea was delicious as well and the service was amazing! Our main server was so attentive and all the other servers were so quiet we didn't even really notice them popping by to clean up or drop something off that we asked for! The restroom is also a piece of art! The venue is not huge, it is a good size and they stayed busy the entire time we were there and even still the server paid much attention to us! We felt very touched when the beautiful owner herself came to our table to thank us for coming by and also invited us to their upcoming events! The place is elegant, classy and a perfect ambiance for a girls day or if you have an event such as a bridal shower, birthday or even Mother's Day coming up! For tea I had the blue lavender and Paris (which was my fav) and the dessert / sandwiches were soooo good I couldn't stop thinking about it when i went home. My mom, sister, and I went here for my mom's birthday. My mom had preordered the Grand Royale and specified vegetarian for the sandwiches, which we confirmed with our server when we were seated. When we got there I was impressed with the ambiance and loved the fancy china and tea cups. Our server explained the different teas to us and we let him know that it was my mom's birthday (important point, I promise). We were served tea and scones to start, and both were fantastic. We got the orange blossom tea, chai tea, and chamomile tea. All three were wonderful and the scone was the perfect compliment. Once we were finished with the scones we were served the salad and some champagne, both were fantastic as well. We also were given more hot water for our team which was awesome. When the sandwiches came out they served us non-vegetarian sandwiches. The server was great and took them back and got us the vegetarian sandwiches. The sandwiches had 5 different flavors and to be honest, all of them were pretty bland and the bread was kind of stale on a couple of the sandwiches, almost like they had been made the day before and refrigerated overnight. The fruit level of the platter was great, hard to go wrong with fresh fruit. The dessert level had several things and the best by far was the lemon bar. The chocolate brownie mousse cup was also delicious. The red velvet cupcake was really bland, as was the chocolate chip cookie. As we were finishing up our meal, two tables around us were served a birthday dessert with a candle and we were excited to get one since it was our mom's birthday. It never came. She was forgotten and after a $200+ tab that was really disappointing. All that said, it's still relatively new so hopefully some of these things are just opening/adjusting pains. Based on our experience I am unlikely to go back again unless a friend or family member really wanted to go. I definitely wouldn't splurge on Grand Royale package again. They started off be offering us a sample of their seasonal pumpkin spice flavor which was great, then let us look over the tea menu and I can't remember the name of the tea I chose ,but it was called Persian vanilla or something of the sort and it was Fantastic! Im honestly more of a coffee drinker but I really enjoyed both the teas we got! The scones were phenomenal we actually asked for a couple to go! The tower of small bites were good as well. The customer service was 10/10 Roman was a pleasure to have as our waiter and very personable! I truly hope this place stays open forever! My daughter and I went there before Christmas so it was quite busy and festive. It was beautiful inside with the Christmas trees and other Christmas decors and the beautiful chandeliers. The food tray and tea settings looked lovely. The sandwiches and food items on the tray were fresh and cute. They were so tiny but maybe to be expected for teatime. For the price, I wish they offered refills but they didn't. I ordered the food tray without the special drinks. One or two types of the sandwiches were on the salty side for me. The berry scone was the best thing! It was warm and the sweetness was just perfect! Bc the venue was almost full and the ladies at all the tables were somewhat chatty, it was difficult for me and my daughter to hear each other although our table was small. I was sitting across the table from her so I moved to sit closer to her. Although we had 1 1/2 hours to be there, we only stayed for an hour bc we could hardly hear each other. Maybe bc the floor are tiles, they affect the acoustics. My recommendation is not to go at a busy time so it's more relaxed and quiet. For just the two of us, it came out to be about $130. A tea room has now opened in downtown Vacaville - how awesome is that! I first found out about Celesté when I walked by almost a year ago and saw a "coming soon" sign out front. Fast forward to February of this year when I saw on Instagram that they finally opened! When you walk in it's very white, clean, and elegant-looking inside, with soft music playing in the background. Think Usher and Mariah Carey songs, but the saxophone versions! We were seated by the window as requested in my reservation; it's always appreciated when a restaurant honors those types of requests. (There's a table for two next to each window.) Service was prompt throughout, and they made sure to let us know about the purse hooks under table right away. There are 4 different tea sets to choose from (one is for kids); each set offering a little bit more with the higher price points. We chose the middle one, The Royal Celesté, which came with (per person) a scone, four tea sandwiches, fruit, three desserts, and of course tea. The scone was a definite standout! What a generous portion - it came out first so we were full by the time the rest of our food came! The lemon bar was also heavenly (yum yum!), and I really liked the teas. They gave us samples of their Paris tea before taking our tea orders - it was good! I opted to get the Indigo Butterfly though; I love pretty colors and butterflies lol. It was good, too. The sandwiches were basic - I wish we were able to choose which four of the five sandwiches to get. (I would have preferred the salmon over the hummus sandwich.) They also pre-selected our desserts. However I believe if you get the set at the highest price point you get all the sandwiches and dessert on the menu. Reservations are required and can be made online or by phone. There are set seating times and I believe it's weekend only, Friday - Sunday. Prices are reasonable, from $45 to $63 depending on the tea set you get - so much lower than what you'd pay for afternoon tea in SF! Parking is much easier than in SF also. If you can't find street parking, there's a lot nearby. And it's all free! If you are an afternoon tea enthusiast I recommend checking out Celesté! read more
