I had such a positive experience that I came back for more and brought the Family to enjoy the cold pressed juices :) Unfortunately, it seems that it's the staff is what makes the difference between an excellent experience and a mediocre experience. Monday had a completely different dynamic. From the very beginning, the staff was huddled by the juice press complaining about the music playlist and debating how & who was going to address the problem of the music playlist (or lack thereof - not sure which). Eventually, one of them acknowledged us and took our order. We sat down to wait and that's when the cashier walked over to the staff that was standing by the juice press and they continued complaining about the "playlist" or creating a playlist or something *I dunno* All I know is that one person was standing at the juice press and waiting for something and the other employee just stood there talking to her about the music playlist and who is "going to tell him". It was a full 6 minutes of us just sitting there. Nobody was even attempting to start my coffee order. My husband finally got up and told them that we are on a timeline. That's when the employee standing next to the employee staring at the juice press walked over to the Expresso machine and started to make my drink. Then they made it incorrectly, giving me only 2 shots not the 3 that I paid for. Then she proceeded to dump some of the liquid from the cup out and simply added another shot. This is wrong on so many levels. The coffee is delicious, the cold pressed juices are fresh and perfectly balanced. The customer service is hit/miss. Oh, and the tip jar is back front and center. Ironic that is is the last thing I was willing to do after the crappy service. PS Not sure what all the fuss is about the music playlist, BUT it's a BIG F*ing Deal for Mondays staff. I've been a customer since they first opened, regularly enjoying the sweet lattes, toast, and açaí bowls, and it was an atmosphere where I felt comfortable bringing my daughter, studying, and spending time with friends. Over the past six months, my daughter and I have noticed a shift as customer service has declined, the food quality has changed, and prices have continued to rise. I hadn't said anything before, as I generally don't like to complain, but what happened during my most recent visit was deeply hurtful and ultimately led me to realize this may have been my last time coming here. On Monday, February 16th around 11 a.m., my teenage daughter and I stopped in after the gym for our usual açaí bowls. When we approached the young cashier, we weren't greeted at all something that stood out enough that we exchanged an awkward laugh as we decided to greet her. After paying around $38 for two bowls and a latte, I returned to the counter to politely share that the açaí tasted like it might be missing something. The young cashier, who had already seemed bothered by our presence, offered to remake them. Before deciding, I simply asked whether the açaí mix is pre-made or mixed fresh each time, as that would help me determine whether a remake would be desired. At that point, a woman who appeared to be the manager rushed in from the back and answered my question in a very abrupt and aggressive tone. Feeling taken back by her abrupt insertion and tone I responded that I would prefer a refund. The young cashier who was previously speaking with me then added that if I got a refund, the bowls would not be remade. I was honestly taken aback, as it felt like an implication that I would desire to get something for free, which was never my intention. I responded through raised eyebrows 'I know' though honestly offended at the assumption. What happened next is what truly stayed with me. The manager then raised her voice and told me, "Take your refund and get out!" I was startled at this abrupt change in the conversation and tried to figure out what triggered the outburst from the manager. I wasn't angry, I wasn't demanding, and I wasn't trying to cause a scene. I was simply offering feedback about a product I paid for and hoped to order again in the future. That interaction left a lasting emotional impact on me. Being spoken to so harshly especially in front of my daughter was painful. It also made me reflect on whether I was treated this way for reasons beyond the situation itself. As a woman of color, I can't help but question whether my presence or my voice was viewed as less welcome. I'm sharing this not out of anger, but out of heartbreak. This was a place I once loved, and it's difficult to accept that my business, feedback, and humanity were met with such hostility. I hope this feedback encourages reflection for this business which I once enjoyed, because no long-standing customer should ever leave feeling dismissed, unwelcome, or disrespected in this way. read more

After shopping at the Outlets I wanted something healthy and found this place on Yelp. When I walked in around 1pm the place was empty. While browsing the menu I decided to order the Green Protein Smoothie which had spinach almond milk, almond butter and collagen. The drink tasted okay. It had good flavor, however the drink was light. Almost like drinking air with a subtle taste. I was expecting the drink to be thicker because it was a smoothie and also had protein in there. YES, I did enjoy the fresh fruits on my açaí bowl! and I very much appreciate the fact that it's not just açaí sorbet (made with almond milk)! However, the employees are what brought down my rating. They didn't know their own ingredients (major letdown) and the short white girl with a cute bob and pretty eye makeup quite frankly seemed pissed off for no reason. Like doing her job was a tremendously difficult task (it's not??). They messed up my açaí bowl the first time (on purpose?) but remade it, thanks (with way less açaí). Yay! Finally made it here after passing by 1000 times. We were greeted right away by the friendly staff and asked if we needed any help or extra time, which I appreciated. It was my first time there so I wanted to go over the options. We decided to order an iced honey latte, a hot vanilla latte and a smoothie. We were not disappointed! I actually loved the honey latte! It isn't my usual order but I wanted to try some to ing different. We also order some avocado toast that was fabulous. The little micro greens on it were a hit. Alright, hehe, I'll admit it...I kept coming back to Virtue Coffee despite my past experience. Maybe I just really like their iced vanilla latte with oat milk, or maybe I enjoy testing my luck. Either way, my brother and I recently started bringing our laptops here to get some work done, and I have to say, the place is clean, spacious, and doesn't have that weird, questionable coffee shop smell. Now, onto the coffee. We ordered our usual, took a sip, and...great, it tasted like straight-up milk. At first, I just accepted my fate because, let's be real, I wasn't about to make a scene over a drink. But then I started thinking about how good it usually taste, which led to me spiraling into an internal debate over whether to say something. Eventually, I worked up the courage to ask the guy in the green sweater if he could remake them, and to my relief, he did, without hesitation, attitude, or making me feel like a burden. When we came on a Wednesday morning, there was one other customer in the store, so it was nice and quiet. After studying the menu for a bit, I decided on an ice lavender latte with almond for me and a NB&J smoothie for the kids (Apple Juice, Peanut Butter, Strawberry, Blueberry, Banana, Agave). The wait for the drinks was less than 5 minutes. The lady at the counter was friendly and greeted me with a smile. To be honest, I didn't ever come to this place, because I thought I wouldn't be welcome, but I was wrong. The smoothie was hand down the best smoothie I have ever had! It didn't taste like fruit blended with peanut butter, it tasted like a specialty drink that was carefully crafted and blended into creamy goodness! I wish I had ordered one for me! The lavender latter was ok. Refreshing on a warm day, and once I added some sugar at home, it was perfect. I don't normally order drinks with nut juice, but they may be my go to from now on. I ordered a strawberry cold foam matcha latte and she asked me my preferred milk. They use ceremonial grade matcha. I'm not sure if they make their strawberry syrup or use the Monin brand, but the drink was good! Perfect balance of earthy and creamy flavor. My husband enjoyed his iced vanilla oatmilk latte.
