My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here this week, and it was absolutely wonderful! He surprised me with a rooftop dinner, and watching the sunset over downtown Atlanta was incredibly beautiful. The aesthetics of the place are really nice. They have comfortable couches outside, though just a heads-up that they do sit pretty low to the table. The drinks from the bar were really good, and the staff was fantastic and informative when walking us through the menu. For food, we started with the egg rolls, which were delicious. I had the fish and chips--the fish was nice and battered throughout and very filling. My husband ordered the salmon with spinach, which had a really nice, sweet honey glaze to it. Location-wise, it's a total hidden gem tucked right next to the Ernst & Young building. They do offer valet, but we opted to park ourselves (I'm not sure of the exact price since my husband handled it). It's a nice, quiet escape right in the city. Gorgeous but underwhelming. I came here for the first time on a Saturday around 6:30pm. I was attending a birthday dinner for a party of 8. Please be advised that your parking options are either to do paid valet or a paid garage - they do not validate for either. Parking in the garage for 4.5+ hours will cost you about $21. From the garage, you'll go down to level 1 in the elevator, walk into the lobby of the building and the doorman will send you up to the restaurant. The terrace was gorgeous. As soon as you walk up the views will take your breath away. That was the highlight of my experience. Our dinner time was still early before the late dinner rush and it took about 30+ minutes for each drink to be served after we ordered them. The same thing goes for food. We sat there from 7-10:30pm until our final items were served. I ordered the First Light drink. It was ok. The flavor was very subdued. I also had the hamachi crudo that was ok as well. No bold flavor to grab your attention or light up your tastebuds. The aesthetic and atmosphere is unmatched but you can get a more delicious and satisfying culinary experience at RA Sushi for much less. This place is pretty decent. It was pretty much exactly what I expected. It's an upscale rooftop, even though we unfortunately didn't even get to actually experience the rooftop due to the weather that day, but I enjoyed myself. It could've been better in certain ways but again I'm just personally not really surprised by that. I would say I enjoyed the ambience to an extent. It's definitely classy for sure, but there wasn't anything super special about the ambience at the same time either. Our server was really nice, but I had a few issues. I basically had a complaint about my drink. It didn't taste good at all... it was advertised as a passion fruit drink yet it was extremely bitter which was surprising and off putting. When I explained the issue she offered to add some extra liquer into it, which would make it sweeter, and I just assumed that that would be complimentary because she offered, and she never mentioned that it would add any additional charge to my drink until I got my check and saw that I was charged for it...It wasn't even a lot of money at all, but I just would've preferred knowing that ahead of time before agreeing to that, especially since to me they kind of made a mistake by making my drink so bitter in the first place so I would expect it to be free to fix it. There was also just a bit of of chaos with us paying at the end, but that's pretty normal with any sort of group dinner situation so that wasn't too much of a surprise. I was mainly eating the shrimp tempura and that was pretty good. I do feel like the flavor of the sauce was a little strange. It tasted good for the most part, but there was something about it that was just a little bit off to me, but I overall wasn't mad at what I ordered so that was fine. Visited here with a few friends on a T night. It wasn't too busy when we arrived but it filled up very quickly. We ordered the miso scottish salmon, grilled wings, charcuterie, octopus, and celestia salad. Every dish was great although the wings were probably my favorite. The service and drinks were good too. I didn't find the dress code too strict (perhaps they've eased up just a tad on it) although business casual attire was still expected and worn by everyone). Celestia is a new rooftop restaurant in Midtown Atlanta, and the ambiance alone makes an impression. The space is beautiful, with a DJ setting the tone, and the customer service was truly top tier. Our server, Kelvin, did a great job walking us through the menu. The concept pulls flavors from around the world with a strong Asian influence. We started with cocktails, the Jade Dust and a smoky bourbon drink (name escapes me), both were tasty and excellent recommendations from Kelvin. For food, we ordered the spring rolls, grilled wings, hamachi crudo, oysters on the half shell, rock shrimp tempura, and mussels. Overall, the dishes were enjoyable, with the grilled wings being our least favorite of the group. We finished with the crème brûlée for dessert. We also stepped outside to check out the rooftop area, and in nicer weather I would absolutely recommend grabbing outdoor seating; the ambiance out there is also great. There were a few service delays throughout the evening, but Kelvin stayed extremely communicative, which helped smooth things over. Celestia has potential with its skyline views, but my 7/10/26 visit was the worst restaurant experience I've had. Reservation for 5 at 7pm. We asked to sit near a friend with her own reservation. Told no, despite empty tables nearby and the restaurant not being full. Manager Conrad Helms -- who works for the Sozou/Celestia group and was previously beverage director at Lazy Betty -- was rude and condescending. When I greeted someone at the bar, he said I was "blocking the kitchen entry" in a hostile tone. Our waiter said I couldn't buy drinks for another table -- odd, since on a prior visit my friend was mistakenly charged for strangers' drinks. Mr. Helms then accused me of "profiting off the reservation" and claimed it's "illegal" to share the restaurant's address on an invite. That's false. My social club collected $50 per person to pre-pay for our food/drinks -- 100% of that money was going to Celestia. Nothing was free. GA law doesn't ban collecting money for a group tab, and addresses are public info. If there's a house policy against social club meetups, explain it professionally, not with legal threats. He said the owner was "extremely pissed," got in my face, commented on me "rolling my eyes," and asked why I was "looking to my friend for help." We were kicked out without ordering any food/drinks from our table. Two bar drinks were already paid. He used profanity and later admitted, "I could have handled it better I know it came off shitty." Why use those words to describe your own management style? But I'm glad he acknowledged how disrespectful he was -- not a good representation of the Sozou/Celestia group. This isn't a one-off. Other 1-star reviews from the last 7 months cite the same issues: forced reservations with open tables, managers talking over guests, and hostility toward groups. The owner responded to one review 7 months ago saying it's "not how we train staff" -- but nothing has changed. Given Mr. Helms' senior industry background, this behavior is even more unacceptable. We finished the night at another beautiful Atlanta restaurant that took us in last minute -- larger party of 10 guests -- no problem. They squeezed us in and our night turned around. That's hospitality. So please do not go to Celestia. There are other beautiful restaurants in the city that will actually welcome you. I've never felt so humiliated or unwelcome. For $12 tapas and hostile service, there are better Atlanta spots with views and hospitality. Won't return after 3 visits. read more

I took a gamble on a celebration dinner and it didnt pan out like I wanted. I wanted to check out either Ishin or Celestia but I didn't want to overeat nor pay premium price for a non-michelin omakase when I can go to Brush or Mujo for the same price. Based on the omakase pictures that i can find, it didnt look promising. Alas, I chose Celestia. Celestia opened a month ago but waited to go for a special occasion and regretted since their pricing had increased like crazy. i.e. tomahawk steak raised from $175 to $250... Also, the main reason i wanted to go to Celestia was the night skyline but starting December they removed all the outdoor seating. Though you can still walk out and take pictures, I would recommend that they capitalize on the season with holiday drinks and outdoor seating option with heaters and blankets. Here's the breakdown from parking to the end. Only valet parking is available which is $8 plus tip. Our valet guys were super friendly. Once you're at the lobby, the security guard checks your reservation and keys you up to the rooftop. I thought this was a bit weird since I was questioning if I was at the wrong place. Once you get off, you have to make a left to the hostess station which was a bit confusing since theres already so many people/tables right out of the elevator that we didnt know where the hostess table was. I chose the bar area based on the descriptions and pictures but that was also a bad selection. The bold wallpaper was one of my reasons to choose the spot but we were seated at the edge where I couldn't even get a proper pic. We waited for the party next to us to leave but despite ordering half of what we had ordered and getting the check at the same time, they never left so we left without a pic. The other reasons I didnt like was that its the pathway to the kitchen so theres so much foot traffic. Also I dont think you can avoid it since half the seats here are couches but couches are not the most comfortable when eating or when wearing a dress or skirt since this specific couch fabric was coarse. Cafe seating had the most lighting and wooden tables but no one was seating there. In the lounge area, there was some 2 seaters which seemed more comfortable in the seating sense but cramped when it came to party of 2 since the tables were super close. Lighting is pretty dim everywhere and the ambiance is great with live DJ playing pretty good music but for a foodie like me, too dark for pics. Regarding dress code, on the website, they recommend dress shirts and skirts or dresses so we dressed up but ended up being uncomfortable. Everyone else was wearing more lounge outfits with just long sleeve shirts or sweaters which would have been more comfortable on the couch. Drink wise, I was under the weather so I opted for mocktails. I ordered the Horizon which was delicious but my husband's whisky was so-so. Im sure overall their cocktails are good since thats the main thing that everyone was ordering. Drinks and finger foods while we were there to actually eat and our check was almost as much as going to omakase. For food, we ordered the salad, hamachi crudo, rockefeller oysters, lobster, and the steak. PASS on the salad. I just picked off the grapefruits and luckily it was only $12 but otherwise I would have asked to take it back. It was just tossed greens with pomegranate and grapefruits. We like MF sushi so we knew what to expect for Hamachi crudo. The flavor was good but I dont know if it was the plating but the fish looked awfully small and not very pretty plated. Also bites of the frozen sauce chunks were a bit unpleasant as well. Rockefeller oysters were delicious. It had lot of texture but without being overly cheesy or heavy. Loved it and can actually taste the oyster quality that I wanted to try the raw oysters as well. Lobster toban yaki used to be one of my favorites at Umi but since we dont go there anymore I was looking forward to it here. Same concept but at Umi, they didnt heat enough that it was always sort of cold while as here, it was like fireworks going off and my tongue got burnt. The fire heat is out of control that butter explodes everywhere and you panic to get all the lobster off the grill and push away your purse and coat. Definitely need to get all of our clothes dry cleaned. The smell is pretty powerful that I saw another table near us getting theirs quite after our presentation. For our main, we got the Tomahawk steak. They bring out the raw meat for presentation before cooking and it takes about 25minutes to cook. It was pretty tasty but the whole price hike put a bit of bitterness in my taste. For dessert, got their signature apple shaped dessert, Momo. I liked the citrus and lightness of the dessert but wasnt a fan of the white chocolate apple shaped casing. Overall, if youre looking for a great ambiance, this is your spot but hope this helps with your expectations. read more

Came for dinner on a weeknight. There is valet parking outside for $8. We got a tomahawk steak, bread service, mussels, springs rolls and crudo and a few drinks to try. We also ended the night with some dessert. The matcha terrine, momo and an espresso affogato. The tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection! It did have a little too much fat for my liking but overall, a delicious choice. The mussels were also great! The sauce paired so well. The springs rolls were thick!!! And they were so good.i particularly enjoyed the matcha terrine. It was thick, creamy and the perfect matcha flavor. It wasn't too sweet and the dense matcha paired with a soft creamy texture was just delicious. The momo wasn't too sweet and looked too delicious to eat. The service was impeccable! Julie stopped by our table to ask how our entire dining experience went and at the end they even gave us forms to fill out regarding the food and service. If I could give a zero I would. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Celestia Restaurant in Atlanta. On July 10, 2026. What should have been an enjoyable evening turned into one of the worst dining experiences I've had in the city due to unprofessional management and service. Our party consisted of two separate reservations of five people each. We politely asked if it would be possible to seat our tables near one another, fully understanding if it wasn't feasible. Being told "no" was not the issue. The problem arose with how the manager, Conrad Helms, handled the situation. Instead of responding professionally, he was disrespectful and made an inappropriate comment that because we were together, he was "losing $1,500" since we hadn't booked a party reservation. This remark was unnecessary and made our group feel as though we were only valued based on how much money we could spend. Despite this, I ordering appetizers for both tables along with multiple drinks, showing our intention to support the restaurant and enjoy the evening. Instead of attempting to resolve the situation or treat us with courtesy, Mr. Helms' behavior escalated the interaction to the point that we were made to leave the restaurant. We did not voluntarily leave--we were forced to leave because of the manager's conduct. No guest should be treated this way after arriving with valid reservations and intending to patronize the business. The disrespectful tone continued throughout the interaction, and the overall service reflected poor management. The staff lacked professionalism and made little effort to improve the experience. Customer service should be rooted in hospitality and respect, neither of which were demonstrated during our visit. Based on my experience, I will never return to Celestia Restaurant, nor will I recommend it to friends, or family. Atlanta has many excellent restaurants that value their guests, and unfortunately, this was not one of them. read more

They had a live DJ, playing great music that added to the ambiance but wasn't loud and drowning out conversations being had. This place is reservation only. It has a beautiful view with a nice ambiance. I believe you can only valet to park. It's at the terrace of a business building. The food is not a highlight at all. Even the waiter mentioned he didn't care for the food. He suggested some appetizers. We ended up getting oysters and truffle fries which were ok. The miso salmon was not great, seemed a little over cooked. Was served with a brown rice that seemed like it was charred a bit. I ordered a French 75 twice and the first was clearly never shaken. It wasn't cold. While the second one was chilled it had ice pieces in it so I'm not sure how they are making the drinks. Came here to start a lovely night out with my significant other. We ate at the bar area and were greeted immediately upon arrival. The bar is actually located on a rooftop so you have to enter in through the first floor and a security member confirms your reservation, then you are escorted to the elevator. The vibe was nice and relaxing, and the rooftop had some of the best views I've seen in Atlanta. There was a DJ there and he played a lot of upbeat techno music, which was really nice. We tried to sliders which weren't really our cup of tea, but I did really enjoy this beverage. I'm not sure what it's called but it's basically an espresso martini with a coconut twist. it was so amazing that I got a second one. I would avoid this place as there are far better rooftop patio options in the city. I almost never write reviews, but this experience really got under my skin. My partner and I were turned away at the host stand over a dress code issue. I was wearing a $110 polo, $70 Bonobos dress shorts, and business casual shoes. When I spoke with the manager, he stated that shorts were not allowed under the dress code. However, the dress code listed on the website does not prohibit shorts. I didn't argue the point, I simply removed our reservation and we went elsewhere. It was my partner's birthday, and I was excited to try this new spot for drinks on the patio. When we arrived around 7:30 PM on a Saturday, the restaurant was maybe 20% full and the atmosphere felt more like a stale post-conference happy hour than an upscale dining experience. While we were there, two other groups were also turned away over dress code violations. This level of forced exclusivity and club-like culture is not sustainable in the Atlanta restaurant scene, especially when there are so many welcoming rooftop concepts in the city. Celestia is a new restaurant in midtown with a stunning ambiance. The rooftop overlooks the high rise buildings of midtown with an elegant take on Japanese cuisine. I started with the tuna crudo, which was sliced to perfection, paired with avocado and onion over oil. The spring rolls exploded with flavor and had the perfect crisp. The wagyu sliders were medium with the perfect amount of pink, juicy, tenderness. Topped off the meal with the pistachio chocolate brownie which was a light, sweet treat, paired with a fruity kataifi. The service made my friend and i feel so welcome and attended to. My husband and I were visiting to attend a World Cup game. Searched for a rooftop bar/restaurant and stumbled across this. Found it very odd that they had a strict dress code but went with it after reading through it. Secured our reservation for an early dinner. Upon arriving they refused to seat and serve us because my husband had dress shorts and a collard shirt on. We reviewed the strict dress code prior to arriving to ensure we were in compliance. It stated no athletic shorts. Nothing about not permitting shorts at all. Note-the woman in front of us had shorts on as well and was seated. His shorts were literal dress slacks but shorts. If you are going to have a strict dress code do a better job of outlining it on your website Celestial at Terrace. Really bad look and terrible first impression. We will not try this place again when we are back in town next month as it was such an awful experience. Do yourself a favor and avoid the hassle of a ridiculous dress code that they don't properly communicate and find a million other amazing restaurants in this great city. Wow. This place has been open for exactly 4 days and it was perfection. Everything FAR exceeded expectations. The ambiance/vibe was incredible- awesome views and very comfortable. The staff were truly AMAZING. Our waitress, Jade, and assistant manager, Julie, took their time and made sure everything was up to standards. Now for the food- WOW. Incredible and unique flavors. We called and asked the restaurant to cancel the reservation and they charged us $100. Not the way to start a relationship with the locals. Went for new years and the service was HORRIBLE. Was told if paid $95 per person you'd get a buffet and 2 glasses of Champagne and got neither. When ordering a drink it took over an hour to receive. And when we went to the bar to order a drink their manager told us we were not allowed to do that because we had a table but didn't receive a drink after waiting forever. It was 3 minutes till midnight when they finally brought our champagne and more than half the party didn't even receive that! Myself included! After trying to discuss with them about the situation we were left no option but to still pay that amount which I think is horrible. New place or not maybe don't overbook yourself to where you can even serve the amount of people who PAID to be there. Probably will never return. read more
