You could go cheaper, but you won't get better. If you read only one review, make it this one! I just underwent the Insta-Lift procedure and can't stop looking in the mirror. How have I not reviewed Dr Brown, Christie and Angela yet! I only get to see Dr Brown occasionally but all 3 of these wonderful ladies welcome me as if we were friends who see each other every day!? It's amazing. Don't get me wrong, everything is always *extremely* professional, it's just got an amazing personal touch. I've been to a few cosmetic medical professionals, derm, dentists etc. They always seem more focused on what had the highest price tag rather than what will make you look best. Not Dr Brown. She has actually advised me NOT to get some extra services in the past because they would look unnatural. I did not have the opportunity to see Dr. Brown, but I am giving a review based on my experience today with this office. My first impression was good. When I called, a human answered the phone, not a service or prompt system (Which I hate). The receptionist said they had one call ahead of me and would I mind being called back so as not to keep me on hold. Another great thing....yes my time is valuable, too. I appreciated that. And...they did in fact call back within 10 minutes. So great customer service so far..... I called because Dr. Brown is listed in dermatologists. If this office put her in this section, they need to remove her and put her in the appropriate section of Family physicians, as I was told that although she will 'look at your moles and freckles, that is not her field'. After I got the above information, and was still absorbing why I would want to book an appt with a doctor who isn't a dermatologist, to look at my skin, I was then told that the doctor does not accept insurance...any insurance....wait....what? Seriously? A doctor that doesn't accept insurance? Are you kidding me?? Wow...just...wow....yeah, no thank you. Don't go here .... Dr Brown is not up to date with face fillers. She botched my face by selling me a laser that I did not need or work for my skin and face . When she did this laser she was rushed and did not good a good job, no one called or checked in with me afterward . She basically will sell you what she has not what u need !!!! Dr Brown injected numerous expensive fillers into my cheeks that did not work at all. She uses giant needles and leaves your skin injured and with bumps on injection site ! Dr Brown does not keep good track of her books . She is trying to get more money out of me saying I owe more than I actually do. I am very discounted with the products . The service and the tip off. I found Dr. Brown on YELP. I was always against botox and juvederm until some creases on my upper lip sent me for help at the age of 50. I was vehemently against anything resembling a trout pout and was nervous the day or two before hand. But I have to say, I LOVE my lips. The shape is fuller but still natural and perfectly sized. I also took a small shot at each temple to pull the lid up just a tad. It looks super natural and was done with just the right amount. Dr Brown has a great hand and knows how to keep it real. I've been going to Dr. Brown since 2014 for filler and botox. I have had nothing but good results and good experiences ever since. Dr. Brown will even tell you if something you're asking her to do won't look good. For example, I asked one time if I could have more filler around my face and she said it would look over-filled and that if she did more botox than what she recommended that my brow would start sloping down and not look good. I appreciate the honesty because anyone just looking to make more money would have done it and not cared, but she also knows that if I look bad, it's her reputation also on the line. Christie is also super sweet and makes you feel extremely welcome each and every time you see her or talk to her. I discovered Dr. Brown through a friend 5 years ago,when much to my dismay I discovered veins! I was very cautious and nervous. She immediately made me feel at ease.I have been going to her ever since. Just got a facial by Aundrea! My skin looks so clear and smooth. When you walk into Skin Renaissance you're immediately welcomed by Christine, who is so friendly. The decor is very renaissance, which speaks to the name. Aundrea is so lovely, welcoming and personable. She is thorough and gives you a facial that is custom to your skin needs. Dr. Brown is more than a Doctor, she is an aritst. She has great vision and plans and I have full faith in her suggetions. I cannot say enough about her staff, especiatlly Christy. They are so accomodating and were able to schedule me last minute when I found out I had an upcoming Event this weekend, She made sure I looked my best. I have been to Dr. Brown's office three times now for my annual Restalyne injections. I have VERY deep circles under my eyes (no matter how much sleep I get!) Now that time continues to march all over my face, on Dr.'s advice I added a little Botox. I literally left the office LOOKING and FEELING younger. It is amazing the small change that a little filler can make - everyone commented how rested I look! Everyone at the office is just a joy to deal with. They are so kind and compassionate, even took the time to listen to my relationship woes if you will. Sad to say that I was really disappointed. The reviews I read were what got me in there to begin with. The staff were great but Dr Brown was rushed, not friendly and I would even say cold. In fact, as I was asking questions, she would say... "as I told you" pointing out that I had asked that question already or in some way. It can be confusing and overwhelming to be given a lot of information in a short amount of time and wanting to make sure I understood correctly only seemed to frustrate her. She even pointed out other things she felt I needed to have done while criticizing another providers work. My consultation time with her was probably 5 minutes until she said "I have to go" and walked out of the room. When I went out of the room kind of confused as to whether she was coming back or what... she walked by and I asked her a question... she said "I need to eat" and kept walking. I was pretty shocked. When I sat down with Christy snd the esthetician (who were both really nice) before I left. They asked "so, how'd it go?" I told them how I felt and how disappointed I was. They apologized and were sorry I felt such a way. They said they would talk to the doctor and share how I felt. I left and never heard from them again. Disappointed. read more

I was very disappointed with the service I received in August 2019. I had some brown spots I wanted to get rid of brown spots and ask Dr Brown for suggestions. She recommended a PCA peel and told me my face would peel in a week or two. I paid $145.00 and had zero results. She also recommended a facial regime which I paid for over $200 and got zero results. Don't waste your money as she has an esthetician who does not know what she's doing and does are the facials for her. read more

I visited Dr. Browns office yesterday and the receptionist Christy is very sweet and helpful. Dr. Brown is very easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable getting my vein laser treatment. I still have a few weeks to view the actual results of the treatment, and I might need to go back one more time. I left my last doctor because of the atmosphere of the office and the receptionists there were always very unprofessional. I even heard them gossiping about one of the patients in the office. It made me very uncomfortable and I should not feel uncomfortable going to get a treatment from my doctor. So the five star rating is for Dr. Brown's professionalism at her office and concern for my well-being. I live in San Francisco and I go to Dr. Brown in Southern California because she is the best! My daughter, who lives in Southern California, introduced me to Dr. Brown about five years ago and I've been a twice a year client ever since. I got a face-lift when I was 59, but the effects only lasted about five years. After that, never wanting to go under the knife again, I decided to go to Dr. Brown for Juvederm and Botox to keep me looking..well just wonderful - refreshed and rejuvenated. All I can say is that Dr. Brown is one of the most helpful, sincere doctors I've ever met. She doesn't treat you like a walking dollar sign, she honestly tells you what you need. She and her staff are extremely personable and you feel comfortable the moment you walk into the office. Everyone is ALL smiles the moment you walk in. Long story short, I had a small growth on my eyelid and she and Rachel removed it then and there free of charge! Dr. Brown was there the whole time as well, usually dermatologists just leave the room when assigned the work to be done by another person but she closely monitored what was being done, which is very rare of doctors nowadays. I've gone to other doctors and they make it sound like I needed all sorts of lasers to zap it that would cost me hundreds of dollars! It literally took them 5 mins and I didn't suffer much pain, Rachel is very talented with what she does. I asked Dr. Brown if I needed any additional treatments and she honestly told me that all I need are skin facials and better products. Now I've been to a few dermatologists who either dismissed me or wanted to sell me a series of laser treatments like an agressive used car salesman. I have been seeing Dr.Brown for about 4 years for both Botox and Juvederm. She is conservative in her work, she doesn't over do it and make you look like a plastic doll. She is very into the art of making a womans face look naturally beautiful. I notice someone here critiqued Dr. Brown suggesting she is not a dermatologist but a family doctor instead. It's my understanding she is a dermatologist who has chosen to specialize in the beauty end of her field. I had miscommunicated with her receptionist about whether I was a good candidate to see the doctor (which I'm sure was my fault, I had an urgent issue and must have misunderstood). Dr. Brown specializes in cosmetic issues, and mine was different. Still, I'm glad I went to see her. For one thing, I was able to get an appointment relatively quickly compared to other doctors. She gave me some advice and referred me to a dermatologist that takes insurance, as well as several other doctors, including a paleo doctor, which is hard to find these days. No charge. She also took her time and didn't rush even though I wasn't on the clock. She seemed very competent, and I felt like all her opinions were based on experience and objectivity, not going through the motions. I also like the fact that her waiting room looks more like a museum or a European palace crossed with a Zen sanctuary than a waiting room. I think that's cool. Celia Brown office is amazing. All staff is supper friendly and profesional. I found my Esthetician Rachel Moyer through a friend three years ago. I suffered my teens and as young adult with acne- cystic acne and all wonderful thing that comes with it :( inlarged pores, loss of elasticity, dull skin, scars, uneven skin, redness, you name it I had it all. I was so desperate for help, I did everything that Rachel said to do with my skin care and I was amazed how soon I could see results. Dr. Brown is the one of the most honest doctor's you will ever find. I have been going to her for over 8 years. On several appointments I went in for Juviderm or Botox and she told me to wait because it was too soon. Most doctors would never do that because they lose money by sending someone away without having a procedure done. Dr. Brown makes people look very natural, not like they had Injections or Botox. She is very careful and takes her time at every visit. She is conscious of my budget. She keeps detailed records of what we have done each visit so we can determine what to repeat or not repeat the next appointment.
