You might find similar products at other places, but you will not get better service anywhere else. And that matters! I truly like going into this location. There is always someone to help you regardless of your small/large needs. Everyone shows patience and asks good questions to get you to your desired results. Their Master Gardener, Angela, is amazing! She has helped me make my first vegetable garden a success. Special shout out to her! They carry many mainline items as well as less known lines and a very big inventory of different and possibly difficult to find products. Thanks to Home Depot having some horrible customer service, I ended up going to Ace Hardware. The minute I walked in I was welcome by an employee. Same employee said how can I help you? Had a few questions and he took care of what I was looking for. When to Home Depot looking for a few things and a grill. Ace Hardware great job I'm glad I can take my business to you. Superb job. THE MANAGER IS RACIST! So my brothers bought a lawnmower their and to our luck it didn't work so I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY I CAN WE RETURN IT. They go in the day of July 1,23 to purchase that same day a lawnmower sure they turn it on and it was working out till we saw that it wasn't cutting right and it completely just didn't work. Not sure what happened. So my 2 brothers go in and asked if they can return for another one or our money back .NOPE THE MAGER CLEARLY SAID SORRY WE DO NOT TAKE BACK said y'all have to call the lawnmower company brand to see if they can fix it for you. He knew exactly what he was doing he just didn't want to anything he made rude remarks talking rudely so much for customers service. read more

One of the worst service ever. I have some knives needed to be sharpened. So I went there and ask front desk cashier ( Ashlee Gilmore) that I need my knives to be sharpened. One of the associate said, yes they can sharpen my knives and asked her how much does it cost. As per her it will cost $6.99. Then she send me back of the store and told me, that there is couple of ladies there and ask them. So I went there and ask them, I need my knives to sharpened. I asked Emma associate how much it cost and she said it will cost $5.00. I said that's fine. So far their statements are not matching. I have total 13 knives to sharped. Emma said it will take some time. I told her that's fine, take your time and when it's done they can call me and I'll pick them later. After 45 mins I got call from the store that my knives are ready to be picked. I went back to the store and my knives were at the front at the checkout. I started to check my knives to see if they were sharp. But the the lady at the cashier keep insisting me to pay and even make a comment are you going to pay or not. I told of course I'm going to pay and I am checking if knives are sharped. I did make the payment but knives weren't sharped. I told the lady at cashier they are not sharped. She had an attitude and I can smell the racism but I avoid it. She told you can check the n the back where they sharped the knives. Emma was there and I told her knives are not sharped and I even held my thumb against one of my the knife and pressed enough where thumb skin even pressed in but no cut. At that moment Emma said oh it's my time to clock out. Another red flag. I told her that's fine, is there someone else who can assist me with this. At that time store manager (Will Yousaf) came and asked what is the issue. I told him knives are not sharped and he started to argue. He started cutting blue tape role. I told him, what he's doing. In order to check the knife if it's sharped enough, you need to get a single paper and cut it. But he was keep arguing. Then he took his knife out and cut one of the paper which didn't cut right. I told him I'm here for my knives not yours. Then he said hold my knife and at the moment I told him, you think I'm stupid I'm going to hold your knife. I told him, I'm not satisfied with the service and I would like a full refund. Which he started to fuss about it. Then he told me that is his store. In my reply I told him, it's not your store. You're only a store manager and he work for the company. I asked him what's his name. He never give me his name and walked away and told the cashier ( Ashlee Gilmore) to give him a full refund. I asked Ashlee what's his name and she was like well I think it's Will and can't pronounce his last name. My worst experience ever with this store. I will not recommend anyone. Full of racism from everyone. You can feel it from their bodily language and how they were talking. read more

This is our hometown store. It's always clean and well stocked. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. I hear people gripe about the prices. If you want to wander aimlessly in a huge warehouse looking for products and can't find a thing and no one ready to assist, by all means please keep supporting them. I drive out of my way to come to this store. I could get to three different Home Depots, and the same for Lowe's, but you have to be bleeding out on an aisle before anyone will give you the time of day and maybe not even then. They won't even make eye contact with you for fear you will ask them something. What a rotten and broken company culture for the employees to treat customers like that. But not at Ace. I walk in an have 4 people asking me how they can help......and they keep asking......and this is consistent every time I go in. And this applies to both the old dudes and the young guys/gals. Again....clearly good culture and leadership.....and good people. Will you maybe pay more for something? Maybe, but not always. Will they have everything that a big box will have? No, but they can get it for you, and the key is they genuinely seem to want to help you solve your problem. In fact, today I called and they didn't have something, so they told me to try tractor supply......al la Miracle on 34th street. I was telling my wife this morning they seem to be one of those last legacy establishments where they have character in the business and have that hometown, help you out feel. We have 3 Ace stores closer to our Frisco home but since we got such great service and product information and effort from the 3 guys we interacted with, we purchased our Weber grill from the Celina store. Attendants wore masks; I appreciated that. They delivered for a very reasonable price! They are right on Preston Road. Thank you. Me and my friend are local high school students. We started a lawn mowing business and needed help with a lawn mower wheel after buying a completely over priced wheel we ask to borrow a socket wrench or buy one but we asked them for assistance as Curtis tried to help but was so outta shape he was asking us to pay him to take one bolt off the lawn mower. I know they are not supposed to ask people for money. We went back inside a minute later to return the stuff and go to Tractor Supply where the happily lent us a socket wrench to take off the wheel and complete the 2 minute project. read more

This store honestly has the best customer service I have ever experienced. The team is just so friendly and helpful. A perfect example is that I needed 400 lbs of sand for a portable basketball goal. They loaded the cart and helped me load into my vehicle. They didn't make me take it through the checkout I paid while they loaded in my vehicle. I will go out of my way to go to this store. I ordered two Benjamin Moore White Dove gallon paint cans online for pick up. When we arrived we asked specifically if this was White Dove and they assured us it was. We got home, started painting and realized mid way that the colors don't match. This was extra frustrating because this also happened to us at the Lewisville location. So this would be our fourth trip to Ace. We went back the next morning to get it fixed. My husband mentioned if there is any discount we could get for the inconvenience. He asked so respectfully and the employee immediately changed his attitude. He said "you want something in return for the 30 minute drive you made?" He said it was above him and my husband politely asked "okay, who can I speak to about the situation?" He went to go get the store manager. She came over and didn't acknowledge us, just started typing on the computer. Then she finally spoke to us and said "get your paints." We weren't sure what was going on so we just followed her to the front, and then she puts a return receipt in front of us and asks us to sign. She wouldn't look at us in the eye and just mumbled have a good day and walked off. We were expecting a coupon, not a return. Honestly the whole experience was horrendous. I can't imagine acting this petty towards a customer especially because I use to work retail. I would of never gotten away with something like that. The store manager needs to take the time to review online order protocols with her employees so this doesn't happen again. I would avoid this place if you are dealing with paint. read more

If you've ever been to Boulder Colorado you know about McGuckin's hardware store. It's a place you go and spend all day. It's what I feel like when I come to this Ace Hardware. So many things to look at. I legit come just to look at the holiday decorations. Some of the cutest I've ever seen. Last Christmas was the first time I noticed how Amazing this section of the store was. Better then Hobby Lobby because No one else has these items..... My favorite when they have Sales. & Then the Employees they are the best. some young some old. All seem happy to be working here. My husband wanted to get a new BBQ grill and decided he was going to look here first. Turns out. Celina Ace Hardware had the best deal. He got the Traeger Pellet Grill. Not only did we get a Great deal on the grill but The owner of this store gave us the cover for the grill FREE. If you have to buy something buy it from here. As a Gunter resident there is a hardware store on our way to this one. I'll keep driving by it because the prices and service here is hands down the best. read more

Ordered online and picked up in store. Part of order was damaged. Asked for refund on site and told it had to be handled online. Got home and had message that I had to drive back and receive (under $3.00). This was a 15 mile roundtrip. Called back and asked to be called back. NEVER FOLLOWED UP. Of course they don't have all the same stuff as the big hardware stores, but I go to Ace anytime possible. It's easier to get in and out of and their staff is always so much more knowledgeable and will spend whatever time it takes to make sure you have everything needed for the project.
