This business is a complete joke, on so many levels. I literally felt like I was on some kind of reality show while attempting to get some kind of customer service. No one seems to know what anyone else does, nor where they have put things. I shattered the screen on my phone and thought the $60 to replace it, was better than $300 for a new one. Needless to say, I paid them $60 and still ended up buying a new phone. My information got "lost" in their computer. They called and told me the phone was ready twice, and then proceeded to tell me they didn't have it when I went to pick it up. Had the phone 2 days and screen started lifting up, called to complain and was told "oh yeah, that batch of parts was defective" really?? then why did you use it in the first place? Second attempt at repair and my phone was returned with an erased SIM card and a weak "oops, sorry". There is a judgment against the company now as they were taken to court for their actions, and I told the manager when I called that I did not bluff, and that I was going to take them to court. Think again next time you blow off a customer, and now I will place lien on anything that has their name attach to it, until I receive the money owed. That is not a threat but a guarantee. They had my boyfriend's phone for 5 days, each day saying "the part will be in tomorrow, come back then". On Friday, he took his phone back unfixed and brought it to another place in Nampa who were professional, funny, nice and fixed it in two hours for less money than Cell Me. My phone still worked great, but I wanted to get it fixed before the crack got worse. I price checked around Boise, and Craig told me his prices were the lowest because no one else knew what they were doing, and that he could replace the cracked glass without having to replace all the components that still worked. I left it in Craig's possession, and he ignored my calls for days. When I finally got his daughter to answer the store phone, I was told several excuses, all different, then she finally admitted that he had broke the LCD components when "trying" to repair my phone, and that it no longer worked. I was told that new parts would have to be ordered and that they would be refurbished parts that he would not guarantee for more than 30 days. I wasn't satisfied with this answer, since my phone was brand new. I told him I would be in after work to retrieve my property and take it elsewhere. I arrived at the store to find my phone in pieces in a cardboard box, all pieces shattered and covered in adhesive. It was clear he had no idea what he was doing. He refuses to fix his mistake, instead he tried to convince me that it was how phones were fixed, and only offered to charge me for the parts he would need to repair what he broke, saying he wasn't in business to suffer losses. When I reminded him I was guaranteed the quoted price, he told me his employee was his daughter in training and that she used "wrong wording". My phone was beyond repair anywhere else, no one would even bother touching the mess he left it in. He became rude and is now threatening me since I left his store with his loaner phone (That doesn't even work, probably because it's also made of stolen or refurbished parts, and he still has my $700 Note in pieces, mind you). His idea of making his wrong right is to threaten me with his "detective uncle" and press theft charges on me. How cute. I am now forced to purchase another phone because he destroyed mine, and I will be returning his pathetic excuse for a loaner to the local authorities. This business doesn't even deserve the one star. Dishonest and unknowledgeable. Stay far far away. His prices are cheap because he has no idea what he's doing. First off, this business is no longer on Five Mile. Secondly, I called and spoke to a very nice gentleman who quoted me a very reasonable price to replace the shattered screen on my cell phone. Great! Beats paying the outrageous deductible. After I got off work, I ran down to Cell Me to drop the phone off for repair. (This is the good side of the review) Joke is on me!! Walked in to two YOUNG females, neither of them smiled, one of the females did not even look up from her cell phone, since whatever she was doing was certainly more important than providing customer service, and the other greeted me with "What do you need?" The atmosphere was very weird. I began to wonder right away if I should even trust this business with my $500 phone. The girl took my phone and showed it to a guy in a room sitting at a desk just beyond the counter. He told her the replacements for this type of phone were ordered a week ago, and they took my information to call me when they arrived. I hesitantly gave her my contact info, and as we were preparing to leave the second girl (who NEVER looked up from her cell phone the entire time we were there), piped in and rudely started demanding to collect 50% down payment from me, claiming that if the screen was on order for my phone that I need to pay 50%. Customer service is not practiced in this place of business at all. Nobody smiled, nobody was compassionate about how the phone broke, or knowledgeable about how long the repair would take! I GOOGLED this business after my experience and found a review written by Melissa K which only confirmed my suspicions. Needless to say, I will not be doing business with Cell Me. Okay so I wasnt gonna send a review, but they decided to subscribe be to their texting service without my permission. so here goes. I took in a tablet to get the screen replaced about half a year ago. It not only took two weeks, but once they finally got it back to me, the screen wasnt on right and it cracked right away, I took it back in, and the screen wasnt on right again. I had to explain to the "experts" that the screen was on wrong and WHY it was on wrong before they would fix it AGAIN. This time it only took them a few hours, which makes me wonder why my first bit took 2 weeks, but ohh well. Its a mediocre service but you dont have many options in the boise area. If you do get it done, double check your stuff, because its low quality service. and dont subscribe me to your stupid service because you have my phone number. read more

An update to my previous review of 3/6/14: I stated I examined the phone's functionality as much as I could in the business's lobby before leaving. During that brief time I detected no overt problems. Almost immediately - and consistently months later - I've noticed the haptic response is much less effective than before the repair. The two left/right screen buttons are also "lower" than before. Approximately one third of them are "cut off" at the bottom of the display, making them partially visible and more difficult to "find" to press. All this leads me to the hypothesis that this business is using non-manufacturer parts and charging rates one would expect for manufacturer's after-market replacement parts. I would've taken my phone back but the initial visit soured my opinion of this business to the point where I don't consider them capable or competent enough to fix the problem. read more

Complete scam. First they demanded I buy the part up front for the repair, then after nearly a week claimed that the part was shipped to Texas, then they claim to have reordered it and after nearly another week they told me the part got used on another phone. Makes me wonder if they ever ordered it in the first place or just needed $90 to make that weeks worth of bills. Completely unprofessional and very rude to deal with. Avoid at all costs. read more

This business is a joke, I agree, they take advantage of people in making them think if you pay to have your phone looked at for $30, then they tell you they can fix the problem and charge you additional $60 they say there is not guarantee that the phone will stay fixed of the problem you paid them to fix. Thats the luck of the draw. When you call the business, beware of the manager Stephanie, she likes to talk down to you , yell at you and tell you she cant bother with you because she has other things to do. I wanted her to explain their guarantee on the fix, and she could not. Do not go there, there are many other places to go that are legitamate business that actually care about their customers. They lie, and they are rude, and they can not fix everything that they say they can.Dont give them your business. Beware...... read more

There's a sign behind the counter that says something along the lines of "we offer 3 types of service: fast, good, and cheap. Pick 2." Let's, see... I brought my phone to fix a cracked screen on a Monday, and was told it would take about 4 days (Thursday) to get the replacement part. 5 days later (Friday), I called and was told someone had cancelled the part order, so they'd had to order another, but it would "definitely" be done by Monday (1 week after I brought it in; still somewhat reasonable, since they had to order the part). I call Monday, still not done, no idea how much longer. I call Wednesday; shouldn't be much longer. I call the next Monday (2 weeks); probably done by Wednesday. I call Friday; still nothing. The following Monday rolls around (3 weeks(!!!!!) since I brought my phone in) and I call again; they finally say that it should be ready in an hour. So I wait an hour and head over. I then had to wait for another 45 minutes to actually see my phone. So every single time estimate I was given was wrong and it took 3 weeks. Not fast. Must be good and cheap then, right? I get my phone, and notice the bevel around the new screen is really scratched up, looking like someone had pried the old screen off with a screwdriver. My nice, pretty, smooth phone is now covered in ugly, rough feeling scratches. These very noticeable scratches weren't there when I brought it in. When I asked about it, they refused to even acknowledge the possibility that they might have maybe somehow possibly done it. I'm guessing they were a bit rough when they removed the broken glass or something. Also, with the new screen, everything has a slightly greenish tint and doesn't register touches in the right spot (they register slightly to the right of where they should). Awesome. So yeah, they scratched up my phone and pretended otherwise, everything now looks green, and the new digitizer isn't calibrated. Not so good. Cheap, maybe? $99. For a broken screen. While that isn't an absurd price (at least for good, fast service. For slow service where they damage your phone, it's ridiculous), it's far from cheap. The sign behind the counter lied. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because they knocked 20% off, since it took so long (I might consider $79 cheap-ish, if they hadn't messed up the bezel and used cheap parts), but I had to ask for the discount. They do seem to generally know what they are taking about (I heard them talking to plenty of customers while I waited) and are reasonably friendly, but I definitely would not recommend them to anyone for repairs. For buying or selling a phone, maybe; definitely not for repairs, though. read more

I've been attempting to get an ipod repaired for nearly 2 month now. I've been to the store on Milwaukee 10 times easily and it is like a comedy of errors. Told 3-5 days to order a part which took 30 days, and darned if it didn't "magically appear" when I went in to tell them enough is enough. The staff (except the tech Waseem) don't seem to know what they are doing or have a handle on the flow of business. Part replaced didn't fix it. 2nd part ordered, and after a long wait it fixed the original problem but caused another. Was told 3 days to order an OEM part, and it has been 2 weeks of calls being told "it'll be tomorrow". They were referred by Mac Life downtown, but something is not right with this business. 2 days ago I called exasperated and a newly hired young man took my info and told me the "original owner" would not be in till 2pm and that the tech was away for a week. No call back of any kind. Tried to call this morning and "the mailbox is full". The business model of fixing cell phones and ipods is needed but they just can't deliver. The tech seems to know his stuff, but the business runs like an un-oiled machine! read more

Last year I had a screen replaced no problems so I took my sons iPod there again. It wouldn't turn on. I was told it would be done in 48 hours and I would get a call when it was ready to pick up. I went back 6 days later assuming it should be done. They replaced the screen (not the issue) then played it off as if they didn't read the note. I think he knew it would not turn on. He promised he would fix it. Due to my schedule I returned a week later only they couldn't find it. I was assured it was repaired and he would find it. Another week went by and I stopped by to pick it up and again they could not find it. I was then told it was fixed but they needed to put it back together. It will only take a few minutes. I wait and I get an iPod that seams to work and I leave. This iPod is not my sons iPod which is fine it is a 16 gig not an 8 gig but the wifi doesn't work when you are a few feet away from the router. I took it to a different store ( fantastic customer service) . They took a look and the screen had been super glued and inside had a variety of issues. The wifi Wasn't connected properly and the screen doesn't fit the case. read more

This place is a complete and utter joke. My husband took my phone there to be flashed, the very next day it stopped working completely, so we took it back in. Needless to say, it still didnt work. While they were working on my phone they gave me a crappy loaner phone, i put my 8 gig SD card in. when i went to get my phone and give them back theirs, i forgot to take my sd card out of the loaner. i send my husband in to get it and its just gone. There are priceless pictures on that sd card. of my daughter, just moments after she was born. These white trash scum bags, kicked my husband out because he refused to take no for an answer when they said they didnt have it. i am disgusted with this business and these people. not an ounce of professionalism in any of the people we encountered the FIVE times we went there. I am beyond devastated that i will never again see these pictures of my children. read more
