The ambiance and food here is kind of a mixed bag! I was excited to experience the pretty interior you see on their website. I expected a bit of a nicer vibe, especially for Valentine's Day. Wasn't the case. What they don't show in most of the photos you see online is they have a bar area right when you walk in with quite a few TVs. Then in the further dining area there are slot machines off to the side.... I would also say the servers are not dressed in a particularly appropriate attire in my eyes. I saw multiple servers in short/tight crop tops, more fit for a night out than serving a Valentines Dinner. Just not what I expected, given how they present themselves online. Now to the food! I will say, MAJOR PROPS for how well seasoned everything is. BUT I added chicken to my pasta dish and it was quite rubbery and fakey feeling NOT WORTH ADDING ON. Then on the elote rice, we added shrimp, and the shrimp was cut up into tiny pieces, hardly perceptible. Both appetizers were 5/5 great! I really like the beautiful church atmosphere and the appetizers give me hope. I just wish they would commit to being a finer dining establishment or add more fun casual elements. I think they can't decide what their deal is. Catering to multiple audiences makes both suffer. And maybe invest more into high quality chicken and larger shrimp on the rice.

Easiest 5 star review ever. Gorgeous old church decor...thought it might feel weird eating in a 'church' but it was fun. We were seated immediately as this is a large building. To build privacy, they have created eating spaces that feel more intimate than just a huge open room. Menu is QR code and couldn't find lunch items. Learned they only do brunch on Sundays, so no lunch menu. Husband found a brunch burger and I order a pepperoni flatbread so still enough non breakfast like foods available. Both menu items were absolutely delicious. The fries were something special...not sure what they do, but really rich. You can sit in or outside, landscaping is beautiful. Cellar District has a loyalty program and after eating there one time we already have a free appetizer and $5.00's in credit. We cannot wait to go back! Something for everyone with awesome food, strong service, and gorgeous surroundings. (Road side parking has meters...bring change or you can use an app). Try this place, you will be happy you did!

In town for a family reunion weekend and had dinner here on the eve of the primary events with six others... FOOD - creative dishes that overall were well received by everyone! Order and shared the following food items: Korean Pork Nachos Potstickers Truffle Cheese Curds Salmon BLT Beet Street with Salmon Hail Caesar Mexican Street Tacos Duck Bacon & Sweet Corn Rangoons Elote and Street Corn & Rice Bowl A lot of sampling and sharing was enjoyed at our dinner table...family affair after all! Only critical critique...the add-on salmon for the Beet Street was brought out to the table separate from the salad itself. Thought it should have been better presented and not left for me to cut the filet up and add to the salad. Service - very prompt, efficient and attentive service! And the younger waitress was actually exceptionally witty and able to hold her own with a pretty boisterous group...family affair after all! Ambience - it's a restaurant inside a "retired/repurposed" (for lack of a better word) grand church...I mean what more can I say? It will either resonate with you or it won't...which is OK! But you can't argue that it was really beautiful inside. Enjoy!

AMAZING! Renovated church into a restaurant with beautiful stained glass windows, great lighting and seating areas creating an inviting, relaxing, quaint atmosphere! Beautifully curated menu of so many delicious choices! We really leaned into the server's knowledge of the menu since it was difficult to make a decision! I started off with the goat cheese flatbread with arugula and blueberries with hot honey. For my main entree, a bowl with sesame seed jasmine rice with edamame atop with perfectly grilled salmon that was crispy on the outside, but delicately delicious on the inside! Perfection! My husband started off with a generous bowl of chicken tortilla soup that had a nice balance of all do the flavors and was amazing! For his main course, he enjoyed the street corn bowl with chicken. He said that it was good, however, it did have a little too much of one flavor that he didn't care for. This was probably a personal taste preference since this is one of their staple dishes. We finished off with a skillet chocolate chip cookie topped with ice cream. Rather than the skillet being cast iron, which typically creates a nicely done crispy bottom, but soft center, this cookie's finish was nothing like that. The cookie didn't seemed to be cooked through, but was boiling hot when brought out. Overall, wonderful dining experience and would enjoy dining here again!

This place is a hidden gem of Fond du Lac. The staff was warm and friendly and made recommendations from personal knowledge. The food is a little on the pricey side for what it is, but they're using good ingredients. The burger is easily the best burger in Fond Du Lac. I was honestly shocked how good it was. As a ketchup lover, I was very happy when the waitress suggested I wouldn't need it (she brought it anyway) and was she right! I'm really happy I didn't add any ketchup as it would have ruined the experience. This burger was darn near perfect. I was a bit uneasy going in as the signage from the outside gives no indication what's inside this beautiful former church. The inside is beautiful and decorated respectfully considering this building used to be a church. Overall the experience was great, if you want the best burger in Fondy, this is your new spot!

Cellar District is incredible! It's beautiful, an old church that has been transformed into an upscale eatery. We had delicious food and they accept reservations, which makes this a great place to meet friends and enjoy the evening together. It's not cheap, but they have delicious food and drinks!

The food at Cellar District was incredible. The Truffle Curds are a must! Everything we had was incredible. Don't miss the chance to eat inside a former church, beautiful stained glass and arch ways throughout the building.

We kept changing our minds on what to eat and we decided on the brisket grilled cheese and we were not disappointed. The Gouda cheese, brisket, and mushrooms were a great flavor. Server was amazing and very accommodating. All in all a fantastic lunch. Highly recommend.

The deep-fried queso cheese curds were fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the deep-fried pickle chips, which were crispy and full of flavor. The Bang Bang Shrimp Salad was excellent, with fresh snow peas and cucumbers, and the Thai dressing added just the right amount of flavor and zest. We also ordered the perch dinner with sweet potato fries, and both were very good. The only item we would not recommend was the lobster bisque. It came out warm not hot and It lacked flavor. It seemed to be missing something that would have made it more enjoyable. All of the portions were generous, and we definitely felt we received good value for our meal. The servers and restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. We would recommend this restaurant to others. Plenty of TVs throughout your watch your favorite sporting event. Being on the water on a beautiful summer day made for a peaceful setting. There is tons of seating available, including tables, booths, and seating at one of their two large bars, making it a comfortable choice for a variety of dining preferences.

A few things to note, their cocktail menu is amusing because their specialty drinks mostly seem to be five different standard recipes with slightly different preparations to turn them into Mojitos or spritzes or margaritas. Do you want something with blueberries? Pick your preparation. All of them are too sweet. Their peanut butter crème brûlée was tasty, but doesn't really qualify as a crème brûlée. It was basically a runny, peanut butter flavored almost pudding. Their pizzas were really good though. Frankly, I was most surprised by the ambience. For a place that looks so big from the outside. It seemed really cramped inside I walked around all of the seating areas and it was the same everywhere. While they bill themselves as being on the water, you really can't see the water from any seat in the house from what I observed, even if you're out on the deck, which is terribly uncomfortable in July. We actually were seated at possibly the worst table in the house. In a back corner behind the first floor bar next to a window that only showed you the backside of another building and a sliver of grass. The upstairs seating is truly undesirable because they've converted an area that wasn't meant to have tables in. It is super cramped up there and also everywhere on the first floor. The only place with a little bit of elbow room is the deck. You know a place is to cramped when the servers have to negotiate moving between tables to avoid patrons and other servers.

I was driving back home with a coworker from the Oshkosh area and we were in desperate need of breakfast. It was a Sunday morning, and apparently Perkins and IHOP are the place to be. We were still on the clock so could not wait for a table, and started looking for anywhere we could find that was open early Sunday morning and not too far out of our way. This place came up and we called to see if there was a wait - no such wait! This is a down-home diner that probably hasn't changed the decor since it opened. They have regular restaurant seating and an old-fashioned diner counter. We obviously opted for the counter. All of the staff was so incredibly nice and helpful! We had been in a bit of a rush, but did not tell staff we were in a rush. I think we got in and out of Boda's in about 15-20 minutes. Food was plentiful and serving sizes were large. I cannot stand when "scrambled eggs" are really just folded omelette eggs with nothing in the omelette. Boda's truly scrambled their eggs and it was great! I had the eggs, potatoes, toast, and coffee for under $5. My coworker had the "Deluxe" breakfast with corned beef hash, eggs, toast, meat, and maybe even something else? It was such a good breakfast. I believe our total bill for everything together - including food and coffee/juice - was about $14.50. Great food, great service, great price - an undiscovered gem that you absolutely must try out!
