We traveled from Stoughton to try a few supper clubs in the area. Starting our weekend, was the Millhome Supper Club's Friday seafood buffet. The Millhome has an amazing banquet hall attached to the supper club, reminding us of the Colonial House. When you enter, the bar is straight ahead, and the hostess check-in area is off to your left. We didn't have reservations, but arrived shortly after 4 on a Friday and were seated right away. We had the most amazing waitress! She was so attentive, refilling drinks without being asked, bringing extra napkins, etc. The food was just delicious. The salad bar was so heaping full, talk about not wanting to ruin the perfection when you dig in! There were lots of salad options like potato and macaroni in addition to the greens. They had two soups, and my husband wanted THIRDS and a to go container of their Jalepeno fish chowder. Next up was the main course, the seafood buffet. Your options are mini crab cakes, deep fried scallops, shrimp, baked cod, mashed potatoes, pork, corn, broasted chicken, crab legs, and the most delicious tenderloin tips (my mouth is watering just writing that!). My favorites were the baked cod and the tenderloin tips! Their mashed potatoes and corn paired well with both of course! My husband is crazy for crab legs, so he loaded up on those and the other seafood options. Friday night Buffett $32, but has crab legs. Seems like a good price, the legs were decent size (not those tiny ones that other buffets have). I also noticed that the crab was always well supplied, even when large groups came through the buffet line. My group decided to forgo the buffet and order off the menu. I had the BBQ Ribs and my wife had the Seafood Patter. I though the ribs were okay, good flavor but a little on the smaller side. My wife's Seafood Patter was excellent! I got to taste all of the different seafoods (shrimp, haddock and scallops) and I thought they were all really good. I would definitely recommend this meal, and would come back to have it again. The bar was busy and the two bartenders did their best to keep up with the diner crowd. Little bit of wait for drinks. Service in the dinning area was great. When we were seated at our table we were quickly greeted by our waitress. Once we ordered our food we visited the salad bar and our entries came out quickly after we finished the soup and salad. Dishes were cleared quickly and we had multiple check ins by the friendly staff to see if we needed anything and if we were enjoying our food. 5 star service! read more

Never got to the chance to experience the Friday fish fry based on the prior reviews. Since the restaurant is only open Thursday to Sunday from 4 to 8 we found it difficult to book a reservation but took a chance without one. When we arrived the waitress had notified us that of course we needed a reservation but could not tell us how long the wait would be for a table and did not acknowledge our request while others patrons waited behind us. After consulting with additional staff around her she had stated more than hour and could not tell us if the bar was open for seating. We were extremely disappointed with our first point of contact in the young waitress group and left confused by what seemed a lack of any interest in potential customers. read more

Went here for Thanksgiving because the usual Fox Hills Resort I go to in Mishicot didn't have a Thanksgiving dinner this year for some unknown reason. Buffet was ok, but probably won't come back to this place for a handful of reasons! The parking lot was really narrow & hard to navigate to park and the lot itself was in pretty bad shape! Took me like 12 minutes to park my car and not to mention this place was so packed that you could barely move around! Buffet was decent, but the turkey was pretty dry and the rest of the buffet was just ok at best! My whiskey sour was watered down with a lot of ice and wasn't balanced and they ran out of pumpkin pie before I could get a slice. Running out of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving? Rest of the desserts were good though! Service was good, but the bill is the final cherry on top. On holidays, they automatically put a 18% gratuity on your bill without you even pushing the pen yourself. That to me is just totally wrong and out of line. The $ in my wallet is mine to give and I am the one to leave a tip, not some automatic 18% gratuity because it is the holidays B.S. I usually leave a 20% tip anyway, but it is my $, my choice, and for me to give! What if I only want to leave a 15% tip or no tip at all for that matter because I didn't like the service? This is America the last time I checked and I am the one who leaves the tip, not some automatic B.S. Parking lot was really crumbled and needs to be redone and Highway 32 to get there is in really bad shape with tons of potholes! There are better supper clubs to go to for Thanksgiving, but it was worth trying it out! read more

This place was amazing, by far the best food quality and service anyone can ask for. Anyone telling you something else on here is probably trying to keep this amazing place to them selves. Which only hurts these kind of places with their own selfish greed comments and reviews. I've seen it before this is not a private club it's a open club and I would recommend everyone coming here to experience the nice customer service. Since I video weddings, anniversaries, and quinceaneras I see more than a few venues. Filming a recent quinceanera at Millhome I had one of the best buffet meals that I can remember. Service personnel quickly cleared away plates, filled water pitchers, and were very attentive to all guests. Bartenders were fast on their feet as well. I was really disappointed with the service today. No water refills, didn't ask if we wanted additional cocktail, didn't check in during the meal. We had to wait long time to see a dessert menu, get the bill, pay the bill. It was really quite a frustrating experience. It's hard to enjoy your meal without water or something to drink. Before you eat here, please ask if they have enough servers to take care of their customers. If not, go someplace else. read more

My supper club experience had previously been isolated to the Northwoods, so I was excited when we stumbled upon Millhome while on a recent trip to The Osthoff. The establishment is much more pleasantly presented than the supper clubs up north. The dining area is large and nicely decorated. The servers are friendly. The food is priced appropriately. We started with cheese curds, and they were good, just a bit salty. The salad bar was decent (though smaller than what I've seen). Soup was chicken cordon bleu. I thought that was a unique idea, and the taste was good. My husband pointed out that he felt it tasted more like a filling to something, like a pot pie, versus something that belongs in a soup bowl. Once he commented add such, I could see his point. Either way, it was good. I was slightly disappointed in the quality of my parmesan crusted sea scallops. The scallops were served in a dish with butter/oil, and I believe this presentation allowed the scallops to continue cooking after plating. This resulted in tough, chewy edges to the scallops. My husband always scolds me for ordering seafood away from the coast; however, I do believe it is possible to properly cook seafood in the Midwest. I chose a baked potato for my side, and it too was overcooked. The ends were tough. All this being said, the flavor was good, and I would still consider a return visit on our next trip to the area. Of note, we arrived early, perhaps by 5:45. The place was packed by 6:30. Definitely make reservations! read more

What a great find! My friend and I were staying at the Osthoff House and were looking for a close place open on a Sunday away from the resort. This place was close enough and had a great variety on the menu to choose from. The bartender was extremely friendly and recommended a Honeycrisp Old Fashioned. ..yummy! We arrived early and were seated right when the restaurant opened. Interesting decor...safari undertones. They offered a simple soup and salad bar which included peel and eat shrimp. For dinner we both opted for the Shrimp Trio which was delicious and reasonably priced! We were highly satisfied with the food and service. ..I took full credit for finding this gem on Yelp and suggesting it to my friend to try it out :) read more

If I could rate 0 I would! Had my wedding there a little over a year ago and loved it. Had dinner there several times prior, never an issue. Went there for brunch on our 1 year anniversary and it was horrible. Walked up to the hostess stand and one of the waitresses was on the phone. No worries, we can wait. Well she hung up the phone and just walked away. Not even a "someone will be right up." Eventually the hostess, who was running food out to the brunch table showed up. Didn't even acknowledged us. When we were finally spoken to, it was only to ask how many we had. No welcome, how are you, not even a smile! The brunch itself, bland, tasteless, and not remotely what we remembered it to be. Our waitress was completely inattentive to our table, only showing up once early on for a drink order and once at the end after we flagged her down to get the check. We figured we'd give it one more try, as I loved the prime rib there on a Saturday night. Showed up last night at about 7pm. Bar was empty and dining room had 10+ empty tables. Again, hostess did not greet us, merely turned around to state into the dining room. I actually had to initiate conversation by introducing myself and asking how she was. She then asked me if we were there to eat or go to the bar. Odd question considering I could have just walked to the bar. When I told her we were there to eat, she then turned back around and stared into the dining room and just walked away. After a bit came back and said shes "trying to make something work." Confused again because there were tables open all across the dining room, I asked what about any of the open tables? She responded by telling me that would throw off server rotation. Honestly, none of that is my concern. You can't expect people to wait around to accommodate things like that. Seat them and talk to the server and work it out. We wound up just walking out. Just so y'all know, I start everyone off with an A. It's up to them to decrease their grade. Some say this or that restaurant isn't worth 5* compared to elite 5* restaurants. I grade on the restaurant as an individual. Not comparing them to anyone else. We read about this supper club on the Travel Wisconsin Facebook page and thought we'd go on a little adventure. It is 40 minutes from our house, which is no big deal for us. By all accounts, we should've had a great meal. The place is well kept and clean. The reviews on the Travel Wisconsin Facebook page were good. There is an attached banquet hall for weddings and such, but there was nothing happening the night we were there. We had 645 reservations and arrived a little early. We approached the hostess station and we're greeted by a hostess who clearly did not want to be there. She was not friendly and did not smile. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server. She was a younger gal who also did not smile. The dining room was not busy at all. We had a few questions about the beer selection. She had no idea and was not forthcoming with any information. She simply said, "I don't know". We made our drink order super simple as to not have my mix ups. We could see that she placed the order in the computer for the drinks and we then waited. After enough time had passed that we should have had our drinks, she returned to our table and said she could take our order while we were waiting for the drinks. There were a few specials, however we did not learn them, because she didn't know them. We placed our order and helped ourselves to the salad bar that came with our meals. The salad bar was pretty average-bagged lettuce mix, usual accompaniments that go with salad, decent dressing selection. There should have been more attention paid to the condition of the salad bar. Things were mixed up-a rogue beet laying in the Cole slaw, a plop of dressing in the cheese. There was baked potato soup that was pretty good. After we were done eating our salads, we wanted another drink. Our salad plates were piled on our table and we had to ask to have them removed. Our server was nowhere to be seen. I had a clear view of the kitchen and she was not there. Several tables were sat near us and had different, very capable, smiley servers. When they started to get their food before us is where things got worse. We asked crabby hostess lady if she could check on our food and get us more drinks. She looked very confused and defensive and walked away. At this point we had been waiting 45". A different server came to our table and said she was sorry for the "mix up" in the kitchen and she would buy us a round of drinks. Clearly our order had not been placed in the computer. Still, no return to our table by the hostess who seemed like she was in charge of the flow of the dining room. We get our drinks, and we inquired how much longer it would be-"the kitchen said they could have our food out in 10". We were hungry at this point and annoyed. Food arrives. Two of us had prime rib, which we learned was a special. It was tasty. Most of us had potatoes as a side-they arrived to the table lukewarm. My husband ordered an additional slice of meat right away in case it took another 45" for that to arrive. This was part of the special. A few minutes later the server arrives back to the table and asks my husband if he wanted her to put in the computer the meat that he ordered right now. We reported that the potatoes were lukewarm and we would still eat them because we were starving. No response from the server. We did ask her for our bill right away as to not wait any longer. At this point, nothing tasted good and we wanted to leave. We get the bill, by one of the other servers who seemed on the ball and friendly. She reported that they charged us the salad bar price for our meals and for drinks. Our bill was still $75.00. Both rounds of drinks were still on the bill. If we added up what the bill should've been, we were comped $30. So, a few things: 1. Serving tables is not hard. Both my husband, myself and mother in law have done it in our lives. My husband and I waited table for 15 years. I can never understand what the problem is. 2. To have not one visit back to our table by someone in charge is terrible. Some service recovery needed to take place. Crabby hostess lady had one of the other servers do the job for her. 3. We would have had a totally different experience if we would have had a different server. This poor soul should probably have better training before being cut loose on a Saturday night. 4. I hope that the owners see this post and do something about this so others don't have the same experience. read more

Had my wedding reception here and they did a beautiful job and the food was amazing, we had family style. We also went here last night just for dinner and the portions we got were huge but again the food was delicious. For 6 people, including alcohol it was a $98 tab. A little pricey but not horrible for a all you can eat Prime Rib, 2 cheese tortellini one with chicken one with shrimp, an Asian Tuna meal, Mock Lobster (Cod) meal and a Liver and Onion meal and a couple alcoholic drinks. The wait staff was very nice and knowledgeable about the food. The dining room was very nice. It was quiet until kids that were going to prom came, which was fine. This used to be my go to on a Friday night. Fantastic servers, excellent drinks and the crab leg buffet was amazing. I can say I probably won't be returning unless it's for a wedding. How is it that you have SO many bad bartenders?! This is probably the 3rd time I've been out there and had to ask for every single drink. And it's not that they are understaffed. They are over staffed and talking. This time one even stole my friends money off the bar. Granted it was only $2 but it was right next to her drink. Not pushed up. I mean if she's that hard up to split $2 3 ways, keep it. There was no lettuce on the salad bar. No plates on the buffet. And when they did bring them it was less than 10 when there was at least 25 people in the dining room. Crab legs were cold. I could deal with dining room ordeal. But when you have 3 bartenders that look at your empty drink and just continue chatting, I'm done. You must pay them too much per hour because they clearly don't care about tips. read more

My wife and I had the Friday night fish fry for $10.99. We arrived at 7:30pm. The crowd was moderate and the seating was immediate, but the table was in the middle of the buffet activity. The seafood buffet was unattractive and expensive, so we did not take it. Our fish was perch and bluegil platters respectively. It was lightly battered and unseasoned and dry, but edible. The wild rice mix was over-seasoned, over savory, and very dry and mealy, so I only ate one bite. My wife could not eat it. Since we both love wild rice, it was disappointing.There were two good fresh buns at the beginning, but the two Wonder-bread half slices served on the plate were slathered and completely saturated with butter, and inedible. Two small sodas served with the meal were $3.75 and not refilled. The meal was not worth the $27.00. The interior is dark and drab, but quiet. I will not be back. read more

Just ate there with a party of 12. Everyone, without exception, said their meal was very good. The meals ranged from steaks to seafood to tips. Salad bar was fresh with plenty of variety, probably one of the better salad bars in the area. Cocktails were good and reasonable.
