[Coronavirus review] This place has got to be one of the least locked-down places I've visited since the pandemic took over. There were a bunch of other people and I was the only one masked. Admittedly, the wisdom of these things is an open question and not something I want to take a position on in a Yelp review. What I will say is I chose to explore the area on a terrible weather day with driving rain that made the roads difficult to navigate, and this place had a few parking spaces next to the door, and while I sat in my car more people were constantly flowing into them. It was a popular shop. The store is not just an ice cream store but has some general beachy merchandise. I ordered a peach flavor and their version of mint chip. The peach packed a flavor punch, while the mint was more subtle, but the sweetness of the mint grew on me and it was a different take on the flavor than anything I can recall having. The place had only a dozen flavors or so with some indulgent sundae items; nothing in the dairy free realm and not a world of choice. But this was distinctive ice cream and the place was definitely better than some generic big brand on flavor. read more

Nice place for a good ice cream (custard or gelato style....I've forgotten which). It's a bit overcrowded inside since it's also a kitchy-beach-shop. They had some nice stuff, a little higher end than the 'big' beach shops & they also had higher quality items, including clothing, jewelry, home decor & some neat men's gifts. The ice cream was very good, not incredible, but certainly good. They have a few other snacks like warm cinnamon pecans & almonds. Also an 'instant' donut machine which I didn't notice at first, I'll DEF be trying that next visit!! They have toppings & cones & cups. Sundaes are very reasonably priced as well. My only wish is that the 'store' segment was smaller & there were more inside tables (I think only 3 or 4 small round tables inside & a few outside as well). It felt as if the store was paramount & the Creamery was secondary/add-on. The store stuff made the ice cream seating area seem crowded & like a shopper might bump into me if they walked past (we all know ladies with massive purses never seem to know their purse is smacking people in the face, lol). read more

There is a reason this joint is so highly rated, it seriously has some of the best ice cream that I have ever had. The flavors, all made in house, are unique and just plain amazing. The honey comb was fantastic, the peanut butter heavenly, and the strawberry was damn near the beat I have ever had. My only regret is that I am not in the neighborhood when peaches are in season, because I have to imagine the peach ice cream is out of this world. We really appreciate the fact that the ice cream is made on-site by the staff! This place has a lot of helpful staff members there ready & willing to help. Everyone was super nice. We got to try a few different ice creams. Honestly they were all great. But I settled on the Banana Puddin and the hubs chose the Cookie Dough. They had cute places to sit outside. So we enjoyed the entertaining experience of watching people passing by while we ate our ice cream. The ice cream had a good creamy texture and we both really enjoyed it. The hubs wished that the cookie dough would have had chunks of cookie dough in it, instead of having it all ground into bits inside the custard. I'm not a huge ice cream person (I usually opt for salty snacks over sweet) but I made sure to go back again the next day before we left because I liked it so much! Best ice cream I've ever had.
