Small scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough!
    Kaleigh W.

The perfect ice cream addition to downtown Jensen Beach! We stopped by yesterday afternoon. The blonde girl who served us was very helpful and friendly. They had about 20 different ice creams, including two sorbets and some unique flavors like From the Sea and Bee (Honey and Sea Salt) and a chunky Blueberry. We tried a couple samples like Chocolate Chip Irish Creme (yum!) before settling on Rocky Road and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. The ice cream base was thick and sweet but not too overbearing. I don't have the biggest sweet tooth and I thought it was a perfect balance. If you prefer creamy ice cream over "icy" ice cream, Celtic Creamery is your spot. They were very generous with the cookie dough in my ice cream, large and crumbly pieces probably made in store. The Rocky Road was the same with good size graham cracker chunks and other mixings. We both got a small scoop in a bowl; they offer waffle and sugar cones as well. The server added in a free house-made whipped cream pup cup for our dog with a large milkbone! The inside is small with two tables to eat at and a massive amount of outdoor covered seating right next door. There's a free parking lot out back as well as plenty of free street parking on the main road. You can tell they've put a lot of work into the store. Very clean with cute, beach modern decor. They have a crazy "Tummy Trembler" ice cream and donut challenge that we may have to try sometime. If you compete it, you get your face put on their wall of fame! They fry in-house donuts and sell bottled sodas and waters to wash down your sweet treat. Very tasty, we'll be back to try other flavors!

We visit the area yearly and this place is new to us but is now on our must visit list! The ice cream is about the creamiest I've tasted! The flavors are rich and the people working there are terrific. The first day we popped in was busy but the two people working didn't get flustered, were very sweet, and kept things moving. The second night we stopped in was slower and they were easy to chat with. It's a small shop but there's plenty of covered seating just outside. I hope we get there again before we leave.

Such a cute place...set back off the road with several tables and chairs to sit outside if you like. Inside there are some comfy chairs making it very enticing to pick up a book, sip on your coffee and read all day! Been open for 4 years. It shares the space with a Bed & Breakfast in the back. Not open every day so check the hours before hand. The cold brew was very good. Melissa offers coffee ice cubes for an extra 50 cents which keeps your coffee cold and flavorful! Our cheese danish was fresh, warm and tasty. I shared it with my brother since it was pretty big. *The cute little terrier logo was created after Melissa's dog. *Street parking *Beautiful surroundings - island like feel ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

The parking (or walking) is easy and there is plenty of seating, more so outside, but there are places to sit inside also. She had the perfect variety of donut flavors, with a few pastry options (made in house), including a gf muffin (she has shipped in). From the cleanliness to the friendliness, we will definitely be back! Oh yeah....My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her raspberry jelly filled donut!

Warned I would have…read moreto get there early, (before 8 am) or they'd be sold out, with high expectations, I decided to take the plunge. And so, I set my alarm to begin my donut mission. At 6:30 am I showed up at the door of Jupiter Donuts awaiting my pot of gold. Or in this case my donut nirvana! I'll be the first to admit, I'm not looking for what some consider the ideal donut. You know the ones that have a multitude of weird toppings. I'm driven more by the texture and taste of the cake. Thin airy Boston creams with little filling, glazed donuts that are too sweet and have no substance are all too commonplace for my liking. Having said all that, you won't find any of that at Jupiter Donuts. However, in order to be the "best", it has to stand out from all others and this is where Jupiter Donuts doesn't quite make the grade. I mixed up my choices to assure a good representation choosing a frosted chocolate cake, a Boston cream, a chocolate frosted glazed and a sour cream. I guess because of all the advance kudos, my expectations were probably not realistic. And perhaps no place could live up to the high praise and subsequent anticipation I had. Unfortunately, although their donuts were good, I most assuredly wouldn't get up at 6am or wait in line for one. On an individual note, the best was the Boston cream with plenty of filling and a firm (not airy) cake. I'd have to say, I enjoyed this donut the most. I'd give it a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. My favorite donut is usually a frosted chocolate cake. Jupiters was good but definitely not the best I've had. Score it a 7. The sour cream as well as the chocolate frosted were average at best with both coming in at a 6. All were good but none were great. I must admit, I'm spoiled by the fresh-from-the-oven old fashioned donuts I enjoyed as a child at a place called Tices Farm. The smell and taste of those donuts still resonates with me after all these years. Perhaps those memories assure no donut place will ever live up to my initial donut experience. But my search will go one for that one donut in a million.

I'll start with the good first…read more This is a hotel restaurant and my experience with those can be very hit or miss. We have dined here in the past (this is our fourth time) and the food was has been great every time. Once again it didn't disappoint and everything was really enjoyable. We had the crab cakes - a must, the Drift salad - always refreshing and light, and the red snapper - delicious! The service was also mostly good, although they left dirty plates on our table after saying they were going to take them twice and it was a small table so it was not ideal. Now the big thing that knocked a star off for me is this: When we were seated it was at a table with regular dining chairs. I'm recovering from a lower back and hip injury and asked when we were taken to the table if we could be switched to the small empty booth behind us as it looked like much more supportive and thicker cushions. I was informed that it was reserved for a table of four. There was a second of these booths the same size seating a couple, and a larger third booth that was empty that remained so for the majority of our meal. A few minutes after we were sat, they seated only two women at that first booth. The couple at the second booth finished shortly after that, leaving the second and third booth empty for the majority of our meal, (in addition to other tables) . It wasn't until we were almost wrapping up that the last booth ended up used. They seated a couple at that booth meant for 4-6 people. I spent the majority of the dinner very uncomfortable and in pain. This is at one of my favorite hotels and our second year staying here. We've looked forward to this for awhile so this was a disappointing and frustrating start to a romantic weekend. It's a small detail, but sometimes those matter more than the bigger things.

We were seated outside by the pool to enjoy a lovely sunset dinner. We were being eaten alive by tiny bugs, so we asked to be repeated inside. The staff was super accommodating and made space for our large party. While I waited, I had a chance to look at the interior decor. This is a very tastefully decorated restaurant with a nautical theme, which was on point for Hutchinson Island. It was elegant and upscale. I won't name her, but our server was TERRIBLE. She was slow, inattentive, and very rude. She reached across the table often, which was off-putting to see a server reach over someone's food or drinks to place or clear dishes. She also seemed impatient with us although we spent a lot of time waiting for her. Finally the food. I ordered the High Roller. As a large party, we already expected a long wait. Fine, an hour it is. But when I got my food, it was cold. Again, big group so you get grace. Where they went wrong is when they under cooked the colossal shrimp in the dish. I had to spit out the equivalent of one shrimp in a napkin (sorry about that) and I sent the other shrimp back to the kitchen to cook longer. What I got back were 4 or 5 medium shrimp seasoned and sautéed perfectly. Not the end of the world but an obvious switcheroo. I did enjoy the dish but I wouldn't get that again. I think I'd like the Blue Crab Grouper better next time. Overall, there were too many small things to overlook the half and half experience. I don't live near Hutchinson Island, so I won't be back to that location, but there are others closer to me that I'll try.
