He was very knowledgeable and answered a million question with exceptional professionalism. After I changed my mind on the design plan I had to exchange some items, Brent, Jackie, Francisco and Kate went above and beyond to help me figure everything out and reconfigure my plan. WOW! Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Before I paid, the salesperson specifically warned me that tiles from different production batches would have different colors. Because of that, I made it crystal clear that I wanted ALL of my tiles from the SAME batch. I was promised that would not be a problem. After my contractor finished installing and cleaning the floor, we immediately noticed an obvious color difference across the floor. At first glance it may not be obvious, but once you see it, you can't unsee it. A brand-new floor should NEVER look like this. I checked every box myself and discovered that about two-thirds of my order was Batch 1M21, while the rest was Batch 1M35. The store literally mixed two different batches together after promising they wouldn't. The most outrageous part? The correct batch (1M35) is NOT out of stock. They still have more than 140 pieces available. They simply gave me the wrong batch. When I went back to the store expecting them to fix THEIR mistake, the manager refused to take any responsibility. Instead, he told me I had to: * Buy replacement tiles again with only a 20% discount * Pay the transfer fee * Pay the shipping costs * Pay any other related expenses * Contact corporate myself Are you serious? If you truly believe your store did nothing wrong, why offer me a 20% discount in the first place? That tells me you know a mistake was made--you just don't want to take responsibility for it. I paid for matching tiles because your employee promised matching tiles. Your store mixed the batches, not me. Yet somehow I'm expected to pay thousands more to fix YOUR mistake? That is beyond unacceptable. Now I'm left with a brand-new floor that has visible color variation throughout my home because of the store's negligence. Replacing it would mean tearing out a newly installed floor, buying new materials, and paying labor all over again--simply because the store failed to provide what they promised. I would never recommend buying tile from this store. If they make a mistake, don't expect them to stand behind their product or take responsibility. As a construction and design professional, I had to source materials and design several bathrooms -- selecting tile, coordinating ground colors, finishes, and all the necessary materials. We did experience a hiccup with one of the cashiers, which caused a significant inconvenience. I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Floor & Decor that I feel compelled to share. After paying for delivery and confirming a specific date and time, I was shocked to find out that I needed to reconfirm my delivery over the phone. No one mentioned this to me, and if I didn't reconfirm, my order simply wouldn't be delivered. When I called to inquire about the situation, I was told that my order was not scheduled for delivery due to the lack of reconfirmation. This was particularly infuriating since I had construction workers waiting at my house for the materials. I ended up speaking with a Supervisor who was not only unfriendly but seemed more interested in rushing me off the phone than in resolving my issue. The only solution offered was for me to arrange for someone else to pick up the tiles. Easy? Nope, well that "someone" was my boyfriend. This led to three separate trips to the store, which was a hassle in itself. To make matters worse, they ended up giving me the wrong tile. The whole process felt chaotic and unprofessional. I received no genuine apology for the inconvenience my situation caused. The only thing they offered was a refund for the delivery cost, which frankly felt insufficient since they didn't deliver anything at all. Overall, my experience with Floor & Decor was incredibly disappointing. Poor communication and lack of accountability made what should have been a straightforward transaction a nightmare. If you are a newbie at home improvement projects. This review is for you. Don't be afraid to mix and match patterns. Explore and have fun doing this part. Things to consider: Buy a sample of the tiles you like to get a visual of how the tile will look in the space. I would limit this to my top 2 choices that you are torn between. Always happens that you find yourself in a position overwhelmed by choices. So I narrow it down to 1 light choice and 1 dark choice. And if I am feeling creative, I add a 3rd option as a wild card design. You are allowed to return per their policy. But I normally just keep mine. There's always a project to be done. Make sure you know if you have hard water before choosing your tile. Chances are you do. This is important because if you choose marble you have to maintain it, which can mean a number of things depending on how the marble reacts to hard water. This is something to ask your general contractor about to get their input on whether marble would be a good option for the space you are using it for. I have hard water and therefore did not go with all marble. I did a mix of ceramic tiles and very little marble to contrast and complement. Don't dismiss the bigger tile options like I almost did. I almost went with subway tile until my builder gave me a suggestion about bigger tile being a better value. So I took a peak and well it worked for my space and my budget. When in doubt ask for help. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful in giving suggestions or input. Overall, floor and decor is a great option for home projects. read more
