I have to give a 3 star just because this place is so so, had a few peice of back bone in my chicken taco, and they seem to not update inside/menu/ much at all or maybe super hesitant owners. Menu kinda has a cookie cutter cali diner feel but majority hispanic dishes and all dishes are simple simple Simple. I even had to order some type of caldo from pupusas or something just to juicy up my chicken tacos. Plates come with the most standard boring run of the mill grey refried and mexican rice with sink water after taste. They did mention to us a few cops and city people swear by them but who knows why that is. I will say we would go back but i only come here if all other menudo options are closed or if we just do not want to drive far at all because they are located directly on cedar. i think this place could have a lot of success and fun of the kicked it up a notch. but it was about a 3.5-4.0 experience out of 5 the 4-5 times we have eaten from here. i dont think we snapped any pics of the food honestly as the best thing my cooking experience lead me To order from the pics that turned out to be good was hardshell chicken tacos. Love their menudo with homey (you can get it without). Morning hours they get busy. They have good and fast service. Food is fairly authentic. They have a small parking lot in the back and it can get a bit tricky to park. I usually park on the side street. read more

Love it here. I love calling in my orders or eating there. I love their salsa - definitely on the spicy side. Beware of not a lover of spice. I have had Burritos, Tacos, Chilaquiles, Enchiladas , and Pozole here. Pozole comes with all the toppings and tostadas! I have not found anything I haven't liked. I think the one thing I would recommend is probably having a regular soda machine due to me not wanting to pay for cans or bottles of coke. I know soft drinks tend to have free refills, just don't think that's the case for the canned soda. But other than that, great place. Me and my family love it here. I particularly love their burritos! A + rating on the door also. read more

I've heard it's good and whenever i drive by it looks full. So i decided to give this place a shot. Regret it. The food isn't pricy. Asada fries 7.99, 2 gorditas 6.99 and flautas 6.99. But the food was poor. The gorditas has rancid oil. The meat was recooked and was hard. Couldn't even chew it properly. The asada fried were decent and the rice was horrible. The service was poor as well. There wasnt that many people and it took easily 30 mins to put in the order and then 40 mins to get our food. The dj is very loud can't even hear the people next to you. Oh and ontop of that they charge extra for salsa..... 1oz of salsa for a whole table. Honestly poor service and bad food. Would not go again read more

This place has some good chile verde Gorditas and chile verde wet burritos. We've (from work) have been going here for years and the food is delicious. Stopped in for lunch today, as Ive been meaning to try the Birria that a few people have recommended before. Parked in the back and cruised in. I walk in and have to make noise to get someones attention. A lady comes to the counter and asks "Ready to order?" No, ready to sit down. Its for here. She hands me a menu and points to the dining room. ohhhh-kaaaaay. I open the menu and Im pleasantly surprised to find tripas on it. Lady eventually comes back to take my order. 3 Tripas tacos and 1 birria de chivo taco. Iced Tea. Chips & salsa were complimentary. Iced Tea came out, and it was some of the worst Ive ever had. Tasted like someone took a dump in a cold pot of day-old coffee. Gross. At least she never attempted to refill it. Tortilla chips were standard Smart & Final chips. Meh. Salsa had heat, but not too much taste. Whatev. Tacos came and the presentation wasnt half bad. If you order a Birria taco here, eat it first, because the juice quickly renders the tortilla into paste. But the meat is SO GOOD. Some of the best Birria de Chivo Ive ever had! Served with a cup of MORE Birria juices! Yum! The Tripas werent cleaned as well as Id liked, or chopped up to well (I had one 5-inch long cut, I ate it like a baby bird eats a worm). But these Tripas were the first uncleaned bits of cow intestine that Id ever thought were decent. Very good, and at least cooked right. These tacos were served with 3 different types of salsa. Not bad. I left the same way I came in. Walked to the counter and had to get the Ladys attention, paid, and left. This restaurant experience is 2-star. But the delicious meat gave it an extra star. I will return solely for the Birria de Chivo soup. I will order water with it next time. read more

Probably one of my top 3 favorite Mexican restaurants in Riverside. There's only a few places where I finish eating and say this place deserves a good yelp review. Their salsa is definitely on the spicy side. My family and I had the mojara, torta de milanesa and bistec ranchera plates and every single one was so delicious. I highly recommend this place. Unfortunately the huarache itself was flimsy and felt more like a tortilla than anything and it had shredded meat instead of shredded chicken. The waitress confirmed that it was shredded chicken.
