Disappointed. I came all the way from Mentone to give this place a second try because my first visit during breakfast was really good. This time I came around 2 PM and it was a completely different experience. I ordered the chile relleno burrito, but it was mostly beans and rice. It seemed like the chile relleno had been re-fried just to warm it up because the egg batter was extremely greasy and didn't taste fresh. The chile itself was hard and difficult to bite into, and there was hardly any cheese inside. Overall, it was a very disappointing meal, especially after driving all that way expecting the same quality I had the first time. read more

Found this gem when visiting Fontana to pick up my half marathon race bib and it did not disappoint. The staff were extremely friendly and gave great recommendations. I got the Burrito Tapatio with shredded beef and it was amazing. The meat and sauce were so flavorful. My husband got the crazy fries with Al Pastor and it was so flavorful and full of toppings. Stumbled upon this place after visiting a family member at Kaiser Hospital and it surpassed expectations. For four large plates of food, 4 drinks we paid less than $80 total with some of the best complimentary beans we've ever had while waiting for our food. First time here and I appreciate the customer service by Tiffany! She shared the special of the day which was the torta fires and drink. She also was thorough with all her answers and recommendations. I got the chicken mole enchiladas and they were delicious but the mole was on the sweet side which is not my preference but it was still good. Tiffany offered the complimentary frijoles charros, and they are delicious! I smaller the pineapple passion fruit agua frescas, and it was too sweet for me so I went with the lime and chia agua fresca and it was refreshing but a little too sour. Delicious!!! We took a 12 min detour off the 210 to try La Tapatía on way home to LA from the mountain and OMG so glad we did. Chile verde enchilada, asada burrito (dry), chile verde burrito (wet) all were so, so good. Salsas and chow chow were incredibly fresh and wonderful. I wanted to know if the chili verde was spicy so she let me sample it. One word, "DELICIOUS!" My taste buds were going crazy. Opens at 8am. On the dot on Saturday it there was already line but they were quick to serve. From newbies, to regulars, takeout and dine in you had people that were ready to eat great food. Me and my wife got the red chilaquiles (have tried green and they are delicious) and they were great. I had one of the best breakfast burritos the "Mexican Burrito" asked for the 3 meats, dry. Let me tell you no salsa needed at all. Every bite was as delicious as the last. Cheese, beans, sausage, jamón con huevo, bacon, homemade tortilla and soft potatoes.
